BOG appoints two new FIU trustees

The Florida Board of Governors appointed Michael M. Adler and Joseph L. Caruncho, two long time FIU supporters, to sit on the University’s Board of Trustees. Adler, chairman and chief executive offi cer of Adler Group, Inc., and Caruncho, CEO of Preferred Care Part- ners, will serve fi ve-year terms on the board beginning January 6, 2010. According to the University, Adler and Caruncho will be fi lling the seats occupied by Betsy Atkins and David Parker, whose terms are set to expire on the same day.
