ITINERARY

Day 01: Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport

Welcome to Japan! On arrival at one of Tokyo's airports you will make your own way to your hotel. This evening you will join Eileen at a welcome meeting, then if you feel like it you can head out with your group to one of the nearby Izakayas for dinner while enjoying the Tokyo night life.

Day 02: Tokyo (Imperial Palace / Asakusa Sensoji Temple / Ueno Park / Akihabara - Shopping & Cafe / Ginza - Illumination / Capsule Hotel Experience)

In the morning we will be going on a Tokyo City Tour. We will proceed to the Imperial Palace, the former site of Edo Castle. You can explore the park, surrounded by moats and stone fortifications, in the heart of the city. Asakusa Kannon Temple, an active place of worship, is where you can see the largest paper lantern in Japan. Here, discover the difference between a Shinto Shrine and a Buddhist Temple. Then explore Nakamise Market, which resembles a traditional style street shopping of a bygone era. No anime tour is complete without a visit to Akihabara. Here you will have the chance to go shopping for your Otaku needs. Afterwards we will meet up for our maid cafe experience at Maidreamin Cafe. At night we will stop by Ginza to see the winter illumination where the trees are decorated in LED lights. Your special sleeping arrangement will be in a Capsule Hotel, which is very unique to Japan.

Day 03: Tokyo (Odaiba - Gundam Front / Tokyo Tower - Sanji's Oresama Restaurant / Harajuku)

The day starts with heading towards Odaiba where we will have the opportunity to take a picture with the life size Gundam. We will then enter the Gundam Front where you can experience many mobile suit related attractions like taking a photo with your favorite pilot. Next is the Tokyo Tower, which was remodeled to be One Piece themed. We will enter the special One Piece Exhibit in the tower while have a great view of the city. Our lunch will be inside the tower at Sanji’s Oresama Restaurant, which is an all you can eat buffet style. After having our fill we will go to the very popular shopping district known as Harajuku.

Day 04: Tokyo (Suginami Animation Museum / Shibuya Crossing & Conveyor Belt Sushi / Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo / J-World)

Today we will be going to the Suginami Animation Museum where you can see the how anime is made. Here you will have the chance to do a voice over and learn how to draw the animation. Next we will go to the famed Shibuya Crossing to watch and walkthrough the street. There will also be a chance to take a photo with the Hachiko (dog) monument at the crossing. For lunch we will have conveyor belt sushi or kaiten sushi in Shibuya. After eating we will head to the Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo in Ikebukuro. If you feel the need to catch em all then please do so. Then we will head over to J- World, which is an indoor Shonen Jump theme park.

Day 05: Tokyo (AnimeJapan)

AnimeJapan is a large anime convention that brings in thousands of attendees to the event. There will be many companies from the industry present at the event as they promote their upcoming projects.

Day 06: Tour End

After breakfast, our tour officially ends. Checkout time is 11 am, free for leisure until transfer to Narita Airport or Haneda Airport for departure.
