The Cardinals committed 15 first half turnovers and were unable to climb out of an early hole despite a furious fourth quarter rally. • Senior Kiara Bradley quickly became one of the best players in the GLVC when she transferred to Jewell as a sophomore in the fall of 2018. She is already a two-time All-GLVC selection and is now closing in on her 1,000th career point, in just two seasons for the Cardinals. The Pella, Iowa native needs 84 points to surpass the 1,000 mark for her career and become just the second women’s player to do so while playing en- tirely in the NCAA era, joining now-assistant coach Maddie Nelson. Bradley will also become the fastest player to reach this mark, surpassing Nelson, who joined the club in 98 games. • The Cardinals have endured one of the tougher opening halves of the season, ranking ninth in strength of schedule at this point in the year, the highest among GLVC schools. The next highest league teams are Rockhurst and Illinois Springfield who are tied for 14th. • Despite three straight losses, the Cardinals have continued to have a defensive presence, holding their opponents to just 33% from the field over the last three games and just 29% from the three which is 25th in the country. Additionally, Jewell is eighth nationally in total steals with 37. • Ainsley Tolson has fully embraced her role as point guard in her second season. The sophomore is averaging better than 10 points while also dishing out more than 4.5 assists per game which is 22nd in all of NCAA-II. She is seventh nationally in total assists with 18 through four games. • Jewell will be one of the deepest teams in the GLVC this season with seven seniors, including three redshirt seniors, to go along with four oth- er players who appeared in at least 20 games last year. The Cardinals graduated four, but only one of those players saw action in 10 games, with the rest out due to injury. • Head coach Jill Slominski is entering season No. 25 and is the most veteran coach in the GLVC. Slominski owns 442 wins and her 2005 team owns the program record for wins in a season with 28. William Jewell Women’s Basketball >>> CARDINALS NUMERICAL ROSTER ## NAME POS. HT. YR.
