For Immediate Release Enzian and Annie Russell Theatre Media Contact: Valerie Cisneros [email protected] 407-629-1088 x302 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ENZIAN AND ANNIE RUSSELL THEATRE PRESENT NEW SEASON OF NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE PRODUCTIONS Orlando, FL – (January 16, 2020) – Enzian and Annie Russell Theatre are proud to present another season of National Theatre Live, the National Theatre's groundbreaking project to broadcast the best of British theatre from the London stage to cinemas around the world. Enzian is currently scheduled to play three productions: All My Sons, starring Academy Award-winner Sally Field and Bill Pullman; A Midsummer Night’s Dream, starring Gwendoline Christie; and Present Laughter, starring Andrew Scott. Individual tickets to each screening are available for purchase, as well as a Season Pass, which allows patrons to see all three productions at a discount and includes one free glass of house wine at each show. WHAT: National Theatre Live: All My Sons Sunday, February 2nd at 11AM Recorded live from The Old Vic in London, Academy Award-winner Sally Field (Steel Magnolias, Brothers & Sisters) and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, Independence Day) star in Arthur Miller’s blistering drama All My Sons. America, 1947. Despite hard choices and even harder knocks, Joe and Kate Keller are a success story. They have built a home, raised two sons and established a thriving business. But nothing lasts forever and their contented lives, already shadowed by the loss of their eldest boy to war, are about to shatter. With the return of a figure from the past, long buried truths are forced to the surface and the price of their American dream is laid bare. Jeremy Herrin (NT Live: This House, People, Places & Things) directs the cast, which also includes Jenna Coleman (Victoria), and Colin Morgan (Merlin) alongside Bessie Carter, Oliver Johnstone, Kayla Meikle and Sule Rimi. 2019, 165 minutes National Theatre Live: A Midsummer Night’s Dream Saturday, March 21st at 11AM ‘The course of true love never did run smooth.’ A feuding fairy King and Queen of the forest cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors trying to rehearse a play. As their dispute grows, the magical royal couple meddle with mortal lives leading to love triangles, mistaken identities and transformations… with hilarious, but dark consequences. Shakespeare’s most famous romantic comedy will be captured live from the Bridge Theatre in London. Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Oliver Chris (Green Wing, NT Live: Young Marx), David Moorst (NT Live: Allelujah!) and Hammed Animashaun (The Barber Shop Chronicles) lead the cast as Titania, Oberon, Puck and Bottom. Directed by Nicholas Hytner, this production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream builds on the success of his immersive staging of Julius Caesar (NT Live 2018). The Bridge Theatre became a forest – a dream world of flying fairies, contagious fogs and moonlight revels, surrounded by a roving audience following the action on foot. 2019, 180 minutes National Theatre Live: Present Laughter Saturday, May 16th at 11AM Matthew Warchus directs Andrew Scott (BBC’s Sherlock, Fleabag) in Noël Coward’s provocative comedy Present Laughter. As he prepares to embark on an overseas tour, star actor Garry Essendine’s colorful life is in danger of spiraling out of control. Engulfed by an escalating identity crisis as his many and various relationships compete for his attention, Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic, and soul-searching.     PRESS RELEASE Saffron Burrows, Oliver Chris and Belinda Stewart-Wilson join cast of Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men 29 January 2020 Shakespeare’s Globe is delighted to announce further casting for Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men, a new black comedy by actor and writer Lorien Haynes, directed by Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off, Game of Thrones), being hosted in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Thursday 20 February. Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men traces a woman’s relationship history backwards, exploring the impact of sexual assault, addiction and teen pregnancy on her adult relationships. Presented in association with RISE and The Circle, all profits from this event will go towards supporting survivors of sexual violence. Thanks in huge part to RISE’s work, the event will also mark the planned introduction of the Worldwide Sexual Violence Survivor Rights United Nations Resolution later this year, which addresses the global issue of sexual violence and pens into existence the civil rights of millions of survivors. Nobel-Prize nominee and founder of Rise, Amanda Nguyen, will introduce the evening. A silent auction will also take place on the night to highlight and raise awareness for the support networks available to those in need. Audience members will be able to bid on props from the production as well as a selection of especially commissioned rotary phones, exclusively designed by acclaimed British artists including Harland Miller, Natasha Law, Bella Freud and Emma Sargeant. Her life before the war started and her experiences during the war are fabulously interpreted by Alicia Vikander. The actors Kit Harington, Taron Egerton and Colin Morgan also make her story even more touching. Vera wants to become a writer even if it goes against her father's expectations. She passes the entrance examination for Oxford to join her brother Edward and his friends Roland and Victor. Before going there, with Roland, who shares his interest for her poetry and writing, they begin a romance. But war is declared and it changes all their plans. Roland, Victor and her brother decide to join the British army and are sent to the western front. To get closer to them Vera decides to volunteer as nurse in the hospital... This film is really emotional. It shows how war can affect people, not only physically but a lso mentally. War destroys families, innocence and future. As Vera Brittain said : “Our generation would never be new again. Our youth has been stolen from us.” The fact that she really lived those moments makes you watch the film in a different way and that is one of the reasons why I liked this film and why I recommend it..
