You will skillfully install architectural panels, sloped , skylights, entrances and hardware, curtain , storefront and in a professional and quality manner with the use of manufacturer's installation instructions, shop drawings, and documents. The is not a full-time function of this position, you will also learn and perform glazing task.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Willingness to learn and become a professional glass installation tradesman • Collaborate effectively with company and project team • Responsible and professional in approach to work • Showing pride in your work by being concerned about the details and making sure the work is done correctly and completely • Shows initiative and takes accountability for the outcome of decisions • Shows good judgment in decision-making • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power common to the welding trade • Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material • Determine required equipment and welding methods and welding techniques • Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required • Position and secure work-pieces using hoists or cranes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings, installation instructions, and construction documents • Minimum of two years of construction and welding experience • Glass/glazing industry experience helpful but not required • Solid math skills are a plus • Understanding of personal safety on a construction job site • Perform essential duties efficiently and safely with or without reasonable accommodation • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs • Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs • Must be able to work proficiently with hands and wrists and be able to grasp objects • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time • Must be able to operate machinery and be able to operate foot controls on equipment • Must be certified in 7018 • Must have own tools • Would certify the right person
