Even after decades, the lyrics of the song are still fresh in the audience's mind. However, this time the makers of Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh are all set to create the magic of this song again with a new version of ‘Ambersar de Papad’ with a twist of its comparison with the city beautiful Chandigarh. The song is sung by Gippy Grewal and Sunidhi Chauhan. The lyrics of the song are penned down by Maninder Kailey. Jatinder Shah has composed the song. About the song, Gippy Grewal said, “I have heard the song ‘Ambersar De Papad’ since my childhood. When makers decide to add this song in the movie and I got the opportunity to sing it was an unrealistic experience for me. We have put our own twist in this and hope that people will like this song and shower their love to Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh.” Female singer of the song, Sunidhi Chauhan said, “Punjabi songs are always close to my heart. Although I sing more Hindi songs whenever I got a chance to sing a Punjabi song I never lose that especially those with folk touch. Ambersar De Papad is one song which I am sure people will love and will listen on loop. I wish all the best to the whole team for the movie.” Directed by Karan R Guliani, the film stars Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta in the lead roles. Chandigarh-Amritsar- Chandigarh is a romantic comedy. Naresh Kathooria has written the screenplay and Dialogues of the film. Music and Background score has given by Jatinder Shah. The whole project is produced by Sumit Dutt, Anupama Katkar and Eara Dutt. The film will bring Sargun Mehta and Gippy Grewal on the screen together for the first time. Worldwide distribution of the film is done by Munish Sahni’s Omjee Group. The song has already been released on the Times Music’s official YouTube channel on 6th May 2019. Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication Doaba College, Jalandhar Abstract The Punjabi film industry is currently in its growth stage. The Punjabis in the Diasporas gave a new dimension to the Punjabi identity. It has brought a massive boost in the cinema and film music. Pollywood in the North Indian film industry is commercial and art cinema Punjabi is in its initial stage. Producers target just clientele and seldom take the risk. Crisp comedy films overpower an experiment in production, rare themes and different genres. The research did a descriptive analysis with the support of unstructured and semi- structured interviews of producers, actors, and Pollywood directors. The research also explores the need and importance of film institute and film clubs to sensitize the Punjabi audiences regarding the film as a medium, film grammar, and aesthetics. The research also focused on the marketing trends and the vital role of social media in multiplexes' age. Pollywood also lacks in skills and availability of high-end studios for post-production. And when this attribute get hold as a core notion in any cinematic presentation, it tickles the funny bones of viewers.
