DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION INVITING PROPOSALS Proposals are hereby invited from reputed Event Management Companies for providing eminent Punjabi/Bollywood Singer like Gurdass Mann, Amrinder Gill, Babbu Mann, Diljit Dosanjh, Gippy Grewal, Jassi Gill, Babbal Rai, Harbajan Mann, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, , Javed Ali, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, A.Kay, Dilpreet Dhillon, Maninder Kailey to perform on World Music Day i.e. 21st June 2016 at Plaza, Sector-17, Chandigarh. The proposals should reach in the office of undersigned on or before 14th June, 2016 by 11:00 AM along with earnest money in the shape of Demand Draft of Rs. 30,000/- in favour of Director Tourism, Chandigarh. The Event Management Companies will bear the cost of the artists, light & sound and genset through sponsors. The Director Tourism reserves the rights to reject any/all proposals without giving any reasons. For detailed terms and conditions please log on www.chandigarhtourism.gov.in . The Event Management Company/Corporates/Institutions should have Service Tax Number. 2. The agency will provide name of the artists along with the written consent of the artist. 3. The agency will be responsible to obtain license from IPRS & PPL etc. 4. In case, the Event Management Company/Corporates/Institutions fails to arrange the artist mentioned in their proposal, the company will be blacklisted for three years. 5. The Tourism Department will provide the venue, seating arrangements, security & traffic arrangements, permissions to put up the publicity material at designated places, sound permission, backdrop, stage setup, transportation, barricading to the Event Management Company. 6. The name and logo of Tourism Department and sponsors on publicity material i.e. banners/hoardings/newspapers/advertisement etc. will be displayed at the designated places should be got approved by the Director Tourism. 7. Sponsorship rights will be given to the selected Event Management Company. 8. The Event Management Company/Corporates/Institutions or proprietor should not be blacklisted by Chandigarh Administration or by any government. The Event Management Company/proprietor should furnish an affidavit that that the Event Company/Proprietor has never been blacklisted duly attested on stamp paper of Rs.10/- 9. In case more than two firms applied to arrange the artist free of cost for this event, then the allotment will be made on the basis of popularity of the artist quoted by the company. 10. The earnest money of the company will be forfeited in case the selected company fails to arrange the artist for the event. 11. In case of dispute of any kind, the jurisdiction shall be Chandigarh only. .

Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication Doaba College, Jalandhar Abstract The Punjabi film industry is currently in its growth stage. The Punjabis in the Diasporas gave a new dimension to the Punjabi identity. It has brought a massive boost in the cinema and film music. Pollywood in the North Indian film industry is commercial and art cinema Punjabi is in its initial stage. Producers target just clientele and seldom take the risk. Crisp comedy films overpower an experiment in production, rare themes and different genres. The research did a descriptive analysis with the support of unstructured and semi- structured interviews of producers, actors, and Pollywood directors. The research also explores the need and importance of film institute and film clubs to sensitize the Punjabi audiences regarding the film as a medium, film grammar, and aesthetics. The research also focused on the marketing trends and the vital role of social media in multiplexes' age. Pollywood also lacks in skills and availability of high-end studios for post-production. Indirect taxes and expensive multiplex as a hindrance to attracting rural audiences to remote areas in Punjab. Keywords: Pollywood, Diasporas, multiplex, approach, revival. And when this attribute get hold as a core notion in any cinematic presentation, it tickles the funny bones of viewers. Such constitution on celluloid not only amuses the laughter but also reinvigorate spectator from their established rote procedure. The genre of comedy is not new in Cinema and when it coalesces in Punjabi Cinema, it germinates the new ecstatic wave among audience.
