Pengembangan-pengembangan dilakukan secara kreatif dan inovatif pada seluruh unit usaha sehingga dapat menyajikan platform media yang berbeda dan beragam serta tetap terintegrasi satu sama lain. Sepanjang tahun 2010, Perseroan menetapkan untuk melakukan strategi bisnis dengan mempertajam posisi pasar, memperbaiki content dengan cara meningkatkan kualitas content lokal dan internasional serta memperbaiki dan menambah sarana infrastruktur guna mendukung operasional media yang dimiliki sehingga dapat meningkatkan jaringan siaran dan memperluas pangsa pasar baik bagi unit-unit di bidang media berbasis content & iklan maupun unit di bidang media berbasis pelanggan. Pada tahun 2010, Manajemen Perseroan telah mencanangkan penyebutan PT Global Mediacom Tbk menjadi ‘MNC Group’. Penyebutan ‘MNC Group’ mencerminkan suatu gabungan bisnis media yang terlengkap dan terbesar yang mencakup semua platform media. Strategi tersebut diatas dilakukan untuk lebih meningkatkan sinergi serta nilai jual MNC Group dan tentunya lebih meningkatkan nilai tambah bagi pemegang saham. As the largest and most integrated media company in Indonesia, the Company continuously optimizes its power to achieve a significant growth and is determined to remain as the best and foremost media group for its audience. Developments have been carried out creatively and innovatively in all business units so as to present diverse media platforms that are integrated with one another. Throughout the year 2010, the Company implemented business strategies that include sharpening the Company’s market position and improving contents by means of increasing the quality of local and international contents. In addition, the Company also improved and added infrastructure facilities to support its operational media. It is all aimed to enhance broadcast networks and expand market share for all units in content and advertising based media as well as subscriber-based media. In 2010, the Management of the Company initiated rebranding of PT Global Mediacom Tbk to ‘MNC Group’. The mention of ‘MNC Group’ reflects on the most comprehensive and largest combined media business covering all media platforms. The above strategies were conducted to enhance the synergies and MNC Group’s selling value and to further increase added values for shareholders. It enabled the visual realisation of concepts and ideas that would otherwise have been, in practical and logistical terms, too risky, expensive or plain impossible to capture, re-present and reproduce on film according to so-called “conventional” motion-picture recording techniques and devices. Since then, VFX – in conjunction with their respective techno-visual means of re-production – have gradually become utterly indispensable to the array of practices, techniques and tools commonly used in filmmaking as such. For the Hollywood cinema industry, comprehensive VFX applications have not only motivated the expansion of commercial filmmaking praxis. They have also influenced the evolution of viewing pleasures and spectatorship experiences. Following the digitisation of their associated technologies, VFX have been responsible for multiplying the strategies of re-presentation and story-telling as well as extending the range of stories that can potentially be told on screen. By the same token, the visual standards of the Hollywood film’s production and exhibition have been growing in sophistication.
