 Wiring/Harnessing  FAA Advisory Circular 43.13-1B  NASA-STD-8739.4 Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses, and Wiring  Grounding/Shielding  NASA-HDBK-4001 Electrical Grounding for Unmanned Spacecraft  NASA-STD-P023 Electrical bonding for NASA launch vehicles, spacecraft, payloads, and flight equipment  MIL-HDBK-1857 Grounding, bonding and shielding design practices  ECSS-E-50-12A Spacewire  Pyrotechnics  MIL-STD-1576 Electroexplosive Subsystem Safety Requirements and Test Methods for Systems Progress Report

 Work Completed  All electrical interfaces are defined except for the following components  Beacon and beacon antenna  Avionics deck  PSL  Magnetometer  Accelerometer  C-band transponder  Antennas  All telemetry components have been selected and purchased except for the following items  S-band antennas  C-band antennas  C-band transponder  Magnetometer and accelerometer  Harnessing for avionics deck  Fiber-optic and umbilical connectors  Electrical and Wiring harnesses have been drawn  Need revision  All wire, cable, and connectors have been ordered Progress Report

 Work To be Completed by Next  Interfaces  Define beacon and beacon antenna interfaces  Define avionics deck interface  PSL  accelerometer, magnetometer, antenna, transmitters  Purchasing of Remaining Telemetry Components  Depends on contract with launch provider  Wiring Harnesses  Design  Update all harness drawings with twisted pair shield grounding  Complete pyrotechnic drawings  Update all harness drawings and related schematics to reflect RSBD and NASA interface changes  Build  After next design review  Other  Need to verify that thermocouple signals are correct after passing through connectors by testing Progress Report

 Appraisal

 The RESE-1 electrical system and its components have been defined

 We are very near to finalizing drawings and interfaces  All harness materials and most of the avionics/telemetry hardware have been purchased

 Building of the harnesses will commence after the next design review  need to get PSL on contract to purchase all remaining components and services
