BAGELS WITH BISHOP LARRY SILVA Information Sheet

WHAT Bagels with Bishop Larry Silva is a planned annual event directed at Catholic School seniors to encourage them to maintain a relationship between themselves, their school and their Catholic faith upon graduation. Sponsored by a grant from the With Grateful Hearts capital campaign and Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation and supported by the Augustine Educational Foundation, Office of the Bishop, Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and Hawaii Catholic Schools office.

WHO Over 570 high school seniors from Hawaii Catholic Schools including Damien Memorial High School, , , Saint Francis School, , St. Anthony Jr./Sr. High School and St. Joseph Jr./Sr. High School.

WHY Keeping young adults actively engaged in their faith and church after graduation. Students will have the opportunity to talk with Bishop Larry Silva and enroll in the Serra Club’s College Connections for Catholics program. The program links incoming college students with the most appropriate parish when they arrive on their new college campuses in the Fall.
