Held to a 0-0 draw when the sides met in November, Estonia will look to break a lengthy goalscoring duck when they welcome San Marino in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group E. Previous meetings • San Marino ended a 59-game wait for a first UEFA European Championship point when they held Estonia to a 0-0 draw in Serravalle back in November. • They had not gained a competitive point since 2001, when they drew 1-1 with Latvia in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. • In the sides' only previous meeting, on 21 May 2002, Arno Pijpers' Estonia got the better of Giampaolo Mazza's San Marino in Serravalle, Indrek Zelinski's 36th-minute strike proving to be the only goal of the game. • It was Zelinski's 22nd effort for Estonia, and broke Eduard Ellman-Eelma's national goalscoring record. , however, is now Estonia's all-time top scorer with 38, Zelinski having retired with 27 international goals to his name. Form guide • Estonia have not scored in four Group E games (D1 L3) since opening with a 1-0 success at home against Slovenia, Ats Purje notching their only strike of the campaign to date. • San Marino have yet to win a competitive match; their only friendly victory to date was a 1-0 triumph against Liechtenstein on 28 April 2004, Andy Selva scoring the only goal. • The stalemate against Estonia was San Marino's third competitive draw; they previously held Turkey (0-0, 1993) and Latvia (1-1, 2001) in World Cup qualifiers, the latter result away from home. • San Marino have not scored in seven competitive games (D1 L6) since Alex Della Valle equalised in a 5-1 home defeat by Poland in September 2013. Trivia and links • Midfielder Joel Lindpere could make his 100th appearance for Estonia in the San Marino game. • In the only encounter to date between the nations' clubs, SP La Fiorita lost 1-0 at home and 7-0 away to Estonia's FC Levadia Tallinn in the first qualifying round of this season's UEFA Champions League. • The only other meeting between sides from these nations in UEFA club competition came in the UEFA Regions' Cup – the competition for Europe's top amateur teams – where South Amateur from Estonia beat a San Marino national selection 2-0 in September 2002. • No Sammarinese side has thus scored in five encounters with Estonian opponents.

5 Estonia - San Marino Sunday 14 June 2015 - 18.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit A. Le Coq Arena, Tallinn Head coach Magnus Pehrsson Date of birth: 25 May 1976 Nationality: Swedish Playing career: IF Brommapojkarna, Djurgårdens IF (twice), Bradford City AFC (loan), IFK Göteborg Coaching career: Åtvidabergs FF, IK Sirius, GAIS Göteborg, Aalborg BK, Djurgårdens IF, Estonia • A midfielder who made his name with Djurgården, Pehrsson lifted the Swedish title with the Stockholm club in 2002 yet was forced to end his career in 2003 after suffering serious injury. • Despite his young age Pehrsson learned the coaching ropes at Åtvidaberg before a move to Sirius in 2006; tasted life in Sweden's top tier when he joined GAIS in 2008. • After a season in the Allsvenskan he went to Denmark with AaB in January 2009, guiding the side to a seventh- placed finish in his first term. The club came two places higher the following campaign, yet Pehrsson departed the helm in October 2010. • Returned to Sweden to take charge of former team Djurgården in May 2011, helping them avoid relegation in his first season before steering them to a ninth-placed finish in the 2012 campaign. • Resigned as Djurgården boss in April 2013 and appointed Estonia's national team coach in December that year. Pierangelo Manzaroli Date of birth: 25 March 1969 Nationality: Sammarinese Playing career: SS Cosmos, SP Cailungo, San Marino Calcio, SS Pennarossa Coaching career: SS Pennarossa, AC Libertas, San Marino Under-15, San Marino Under-21, San Marino • After starting his career in the local league, the midfielder had a successful two-year spell with San Marino Calcio in the Italian fourth division before returning to the Sammarinese league to play for Pennarossa, where he started to work as a coach in 2006/07, leading the team to the league title in his first season on charge. • Capped 38 times for San Marino between 1991 and 2001, Manzaroli left Pennarossa at the end of the 2006/07 season to join AC Libertas and led his new team to a historic 1-1 draw against Irish club Drogheda United FC in a 2007/08 UEFA Cup game. • Manzaroli than earned another notable coup when he led a San Marino side through the preliminary round of the 2008/09 UEFA Regions' Cup before being appointed as coach of the Under-21 national team in 2010. • He led the U21s to some hugely surprising results in qualifying for the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship – a stalemate against Greece in June 2012 and a 1-0 victory against Wales in September 2013 – before being appointed to replace long-standing San Marino senior coach Giampaolo Mazza in 2014.

EURO finals: The UEFA European Championship was a four-team event in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976 (when the preliminary round and quarter-finals were considered part of qualifying).

From 1980 it was expanded to an eight-team finals and remained in that format in 1984, 1988 and 1992 until 1996, when the 16-team format was adopted. UEFA EURO 2016 was the first tournament to be played as a 24-team finals.

Records of inactive countries A number of UEFA associations have been affected by dissolution or splits of member associations. For statistical purposes, the records of these inactive countries have been allocated elsewhere: therefore, all Soviet Union matches are awarded to Russia; all West Germany – but not East Germany – matches are awarded to Germany; all Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro matches are awarded to Serbia; all Czechoslovakia matches are allocated to both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Abandoned/forfeited matches For statisical purposes, when a match has been started and then abandoned but later forfeited, the result on the pitch at the time of abandonment is counted. Matches that never started and were either cancelled or forfeited are not included in the overall statistics.
