Applications are invited for the role of Estates Surveyor working within our Estates Team. This post offers the opportunity to be involved in the implementation of our Estate Strategy as we initiate the transformation and re-shaping of our Estate across , and as it fundamentally shifts from a predominantly “standalone” Estate to one that is largely co-located with our partners. The post holder will report to the Assets Manager and will establish and maintain key local and national relationships working with the Divisional local policing teams and National functions within their respective region. In partnership with Divisional Teams, there will be responsibility for initiating Divisional estate planning in relation to co- location/collaboration projects, new builds and resultant disposal of surplus properties, aligning Divisional and National estate plans, to the Estate Strategy vision and principles at all times. They will ensure that co-location and collaboration with partners, and the health, safety and wellbeing of our officers, staff and communities are at the forefront of our future planning and project prioritisation. The post holder will own and develop future co-location opportunities, property valuations, acquisitions and disposals, future location requirements for inclusion in business cases, and for financial arrangements, eg. lease negotiations, lease structures, renewals/terminations, property sales and purchases. The post holder will also own and manage property asset management data on existing and new systems. You will be a dedicated property asset professional, with experience and background in property asset management, providing a range of technical asset services across Scotland. As well as having a key role in the implementation of our Estate Strategy, you will also be responsible for overseeing rating appeal work and scrutiny/certification of property related invoicing.

This full time post is permanent and requires Standard Recruitment Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0900 -1700.
