Abstracts of K. Prathap memorial lecture, plenary, symposium and paper (poster) presented are as follows: K. PRATHAP MEMORIAL LECTURE: EVOLUTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF BREAST CANCER MANAGEMENT: THE PATHOLOGIST’S CONTRIBUTION Jane Dahlstrom College of Health and Medicine at the Australian National University (ANU). Anatomical Pathology at ACT Pathology, The Canberra Hospital Breast cancer management is an inevitable intertwining between multiple disciplines. Pathologists remain largely responsible for making the diagnosis that determines a patient’s management and prognosis. Simple morphology based classifications and tumour grading are now being complemented by exploration of disrupted cell pathways with the use of immunohistochemistry and molecular techniques that enable us to better predict cancer progression and response to treatment. This talk will explore how our understanding of breast cancer has evolved and how this has been central to the evolution and advances in breast cancer management. PLENARY 1: RISK ASSESSMENT Wong Moh Sim Department of Laboratory Medicine, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. Risk management is defined as ‘the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of analysing, evaluating, controlling and monitoring risk’ (ref: ISO). Healthcare organisations have a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of their staff and their patients. Risk assessment is an integral part of an organisation’s occupational health and safety management plan and enables organisations to make an informed decision on the necessary measures needed to eliminate or minimise the risk of harm to those who may be affected.

SRI KUALA LUMPUR 1, Jalan SS15/7A, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. | T: 03-56343491/3 | F: 03-56343489 | W: www.srikl.edu.my OMEDB/SKL/21-07 Monday, 22nd February 2021 Dear Parents and Guardians, COVID-19 SITUATION UPDATE No. 33 RETURN OF STUDENTS FOR REMAINDER OF SEMESTER ONE 2021 On Friday 19th February the Senior Education Minister, Datuk Dr. Mohd. Radzi Bin Md. Jidin, announced that all schools in Malaysia would be allowed to reopen in stages starting from the 1st March 2021. Further information from the Ministry of Education confirmed that international schools would be allowed to follow their own schedule from this date. § After considering the situation, we have decided to open both Sri KL Primary and Secondary Schools for F2F lessons over the month of March for all Year groups. (Please refer to the schedules below.) § As such, all students will be attending F2F classes on a full-time basis. § Therefore, we shall not be adopting the “1 week on, 1 week off” approach. This will remain a contingency plan in the event that Covid-19 infection levels spike again. § Student attendance is voluntary and students not returning to school will not be penalized. However, once F2F lessons resume there will be no more hybrid classes except for Y11 students. § Any students remaining at home will be given class work via email and/or Google Classroom. Teachers will monitor their progress via weekly one-to-one Google Classroom sessions. § IMPORTANT: If total student attendance at Primary and/or Secondary School consistently drops below 60% for any reason (including infection and consequential isolation of whole classes), then School (Primary and/or Secondary) will revert to 100% on-line classes once again.
