  • OMEDB/SKL/21-07 Monday, 22Nd February 2021
SRI KUALA LUMPUR 1, Jalan SS15/7A, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. | T: 03-56343491/3 | F: 03-56343489 | W: www.srikl.edu.my OMEDB/SKL/21-07 Monday, 22nd February 2021 Dear Parents and Guardians, COVID-19 SITUATION UPDATE No. 33 RETURN OF STUDENTS FOR REMAINDER OF SEMESTER ONE 2021 On Friday 19th February the Senior Education Minister, Datuk Dr. Mohd. Radzi Bin Md. Jidin, announced that all schools in Malaysia would be allowed to reopen in stages starting from the 1st March 2021. Further information from the Ministry of Education confirmed that international schools would be allowed to follow their own schedule from this date. § After considering the situation, we have decided to open both Sri KL Primary and Secondary Schools for F2F lessons over the month of March for all Year groups. (Please refer to the schedules below.) § As such, all students will be attending F2F classes on a full-time basis. § Therefore, we shall not be adopting the “1 week on, 1 week off” approach. This will remain a contingency plan in the event that Covid-19 infection levels spike again. § Student attendance is voluntary and students not returning to school will not be penalized. However, once F2F lessons resume there will be no more hybrid classes except for Y11 students. § Any students remaining at home will be given class work via email and/or Google Classroom. Teachers will monitor their progress via weekly one-to-one Google Classroom sessions. § IMPORTANT: If total student attendance at Primary and/or Secondary School consistently drops below 60% for any reason (including infection and consequential isolation of whole classes), then School (Primary and/or Secondary) will revert to 100% on-line classes once again.

  • 1 OMEDB/SKL/21-06 Tuesday, 9Th February 2021 Dear Parents And
SRI KUALA LUMPUR 1, Jalan SS15/7A, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. | T: 03-56343491/3 | F: 03-56343489 | W: www.srikl.edu.my OMEDB/SKL/21-06 Tuesday, 9th February 2021 Dear Parents and Guardians, COVID-19 SITUATION UPDATE No. 32 CURRENT PLAN FOR STUDENTS FOR REMAINDER OF SEMESTER ONE 2021 Based on the latest information available to us, Sri KL School has decided upon the following course of action. 1. Year 11 students may return to school on Wednesday 17th February 2021 for face-to-face (F2F) lessons in preparation for their oral language examinations. Once the oral examinations are over the situation will be reassessed. 2. All other Year Groups are required to continue with on-line lessons for a further period of four weeks from this date, unless otherwise advised. 3. The School will undertake a weekly review of the situation to assess the success or otherwise of the scheme for Y11 students and also to help decide when other students can return. 4. Once the School decides that other Year Groups may return to school, parents will be informed 1 week in advance. 5. Sri KL’s target date for the return of other Year Groups is the middle of March 2021. Kindly note, this assumes that the MoE will actually allow all other Year Groups to return to school before the end of Semester One. At this point in time, all other Year Groups have been instructed to study at home. 6. In addition to this delayed return to school, Sri KL will most likely adopt a circuit- breaker approach employing a “one week on, one week off” system for all Year Groups except Y11 for the remainder of Semester One 2021.
