Not only are they expensive to buy, but say you actually had won a nice lotto price, you would still need money floating to your account to pay for insurance, fuel and maintenance. These cars are usually fragile pieces and are known to spend a lot of their time at the workshop. Some Ferraris need new timing belts every 20.000 km at a cost of 3200 ?. Whoha. But we have found Europe?s cheapest true sports car to you: French midengine sports car Talbot Matra Murena. Fancy with 3 seats abreast - close to the McLaren F1 street car. 4-5.000 ? will buy you a fine example. Actually, almost every wish is fulfilled, when you look at the Talbot Matra Murena. It?s practical with 3 seats abreast, - close to the McLaren F1 street car ? well, in the French car the drivers sits to the far left and not in the middle. The Murena has 300 litre of luggage room, it?s rust proof, spares are available and cheap, it?s comfortable, it?s sufficient exotic to turn heads in the traffic, and it?s to become a classic. -

Nous vous souhaitons une bonne fin d’ année et une bonne lecture que nous espérons divertissante. Les articles de Bernard et Philippe C. sur leur voiture, de Michel sur sa moto, de Denis et Philippe D. sur des comptes rendus de manifestations ont permis d’étoffer cette édition du Piston’né. Ce n’est qu’avec le concours des adhérents que l’on peut avoir la matière suffisante pour créer une édition de notre petit journal. Je vous invite donc, lors de la saison 2013, à prendre modèle sur ces articles ou à en inventer d’autres ; La petite équipe de rédaction est à l’écoute de toutes suggestions. En construisant celui-ci, que de souvenirs me sont revenus sur ma « Bagheera » des années 80; la preuve, s’il fallait le démontrer, que plaisir et « petite contribution au Piston’né » ne sont pas incompatibles. Matra Murena 4S: Blue Velvet Interior and Green Piping Air Cooling Slot Just Behind the Doors for the Rear Brakes and Engine-Feed
MATRA Murena ‘Specials’ 1980-today. Murena 4S: In answer to criticisms of insufficient power, Matra developed an uprated Murena 4S model (“4S”=quatre soupapes, four valves). proved impressively reliable. The gearbox remained unmodified, and an aluminium Targa-top for showroom and apparently had no trouble handling the sales purposes. Performance increased extra power, and in testing, the 4S model notably, and in testing the Murena 4S could reach 230kph or over 142mph, and accelerated to 100kph in 7.2 seconds (60mph under 6.9 sec), and a standing kilometre in 27.7sec. Other literature claims that it could reach 100mph in around 21 seconds, although there is no other reliable material backing this up. The performance benchmark used by Matra engineers was the Porsche 924 Turbo, whose performance they wanted to match, with the opportunity for further ramping up of power. When researching possible options, Matra consulted with the Division of Engine Advanced Studies (DMEA) specifying the aim to achieve good engine performance with reasonable terms of tax and tariff, which is important in France. It also had to be clean enough to meet the toughest present and pending emission standards.
