The commuter-oriented trains offer comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, onboard restrooms, work tables, electrical outlets and onboard bicycle storage. Service includes six southbound and six northbound trips per weekday, limited weekend service and additional service for special events. Northstar makes critical connections between northwest suburbs and Minneapolis, linking them with the METRO Blue and Green Line light-rail lines. Minnesota’s first commuter rail line, Northstar, offers rush-hour service between Big Lake and downtown Minneapolis where it connects to the METRO Blue and Green lines at Target Field Station.
