The image is a Kufi calligraphy of the Word of Unity: “La ilaha illallah; Muhammad Rasulullah” which means, “There is no concept such as ‘god’, there is only that which is denoted by the name Allah, and Muhammad (SAW) is the Rasul of this understanding.” The placement of the calligraphy, being on top and above everything else on the page, is a symbolic representation of the predominant importance this understanding holds in the author’s life. The green light, reflecting from the window of the Word of Unity, opens up from the darkness into luminosity to illustrate the light of Allah’s Rasul. This light is embodied in the book’s title through the author’s pen and concretized as the color white, to depict the enlightenment the author aims to attain in this field. As the knowledge of Allah’s Rasul disseminates, those who are able to evaluate this knowledge attain enlightenment, which is represented by the white background of the back cover. “Prayer is the weapon of believers.” Muhammad (saw) “Inquiry is half of knowledge.” Muhammad (saw) “The greatest obstacle preventing man from seeing the truth is his prejudice.” Ahmed Hulusi اَل إِٰل اه إِ اَل للا ه La ilaha illAllah There is no god, only Allah Rabbi annee massani ash-shayṭaanu binuṣubin wa `adhaabin rabbi a`oodhu bika min hamazaati ash-shayṭaani wa a`oodhu bika rabbi an yaḥḍurooni wa ḥifẓan min kulli shayṭaanin maaridin My Rabb (The reality of the Names comprising my essence)! Satan (the internal mechanism (ego) that promotes the illusory existence of the inexistent and veils the Absolute Reality) is distressing and tormenting me. My Rabb, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of Satan, and I seek refuge in You from the presence of Satanic influences around me. And We have provided protection from all rejected Satans.1 A`aoodhu bi wajhi l-llahil kareem wa kalimaati l-ta’ammatillati la yujaawiz huna barun wa la fa’ajirun min sharri maa yanzilu mina s-samaa-i wa maa y`aruju feeha wa min sharri maa dhara fee-l ardhi wa mayakhrujoo minha wa min fitanil layli wan nahari illa tariqan yatruku bikhayrin ya Rahman… I seek refuge in the face of Allah (in that which the attributes of Allah become manifest), the Karim (the exceedingly generous and bountiful), and in all His Names, nothing good or bad can attack them. I seek protection in RAHMAN, the source of all potentials, from that which ascends to the heavens (from provocative thoughts) and that which descends from the heavens (from thoughts that conjure doubt and suspicion), from that which is produced from the plane of perceived manifestation (ardh) (that which emanates from corporeality) and grows out of it (bodily demands and desires), from the provocations of the day (our internal life) and the night (the outside world), and from that which knocks on the door at night (instinct), except if it is with good intent.2 1 Based on verses 38.Saad: 41 – 23.Mu’minun: 97-98 – 37.Saffat: 7. 2 Please refer to the chapter ‘Beneficial Prayers’ for further information. I dedicate this book to my mother, Adalet, my most beloved, and my father, Ahmet Ekrem. May Allah bestow His mercy upon them all. Please do not forsake your prayers from their spirits. TRANSLATOR’S PREFACE If you were told of an exclusive technique that could extraordinarily enhance all your capabilities and enable you to create and manifest anything in your life that you desire, change or fix any situation, direct the motion of events, design and transform yourself in any way and without any limitation, and attain anything you could possibly imagine… What would you be willing to give up to possess this power? But, what if you were told you didn’t have to give up anything at all because it had already been given to you for free? What if this inherent power was the art of channeling brain waves: the power of prayer and dhikr? If we only knew that every instance of our lives is the creation of our conscious and unconscious prayers, no doubt we would all want to master this incredible force. Say, “If it wasn’t for your introspection (prayer) my Rabb would not hold you in esteem!”3 Our ability to direct our brain waves towards a specific internal or external target, whether unconsciously through our random thoughts or consciously via prayer and dhikr, is what constantly creates anew our world experience. This innate power with which we have all been endowed is the one and only master key to resolving 3 Quran 25:77. adversities and unlocking brand new potentials and experiences. In this book, Ahmed Hulusi shares some of the most potent and unique prayer and dhikr formulas suited for specific situations and purposes. Apply the formulas. Experience the transformation. Enjoy the outcomes. Aliya Atalay Antalya - Turkey 2014 CONTENTS Preface ............................................................................................. 3 1. Case Studies in Transethnic Communication by Exchange of Terminology for Elementary Spiritual Concepts of Ethic Groups By Fee-Alexandra Haase• Abstract Methodology and Objects: Methodologically, from a diachronic linguistics perspective regarding the concept of the shin, spirits in folk belief in China and neighbouring cultures, we compare texts that comprise meanings a) historically in the local language and b) compared to the meanings of equivalent terms in languages of other cultures. Comparing sources of this belief, we examine if and how the shin belief can serve as an example of communication across cultural borders including practical forms of worshipping. Argumentation: We argue that the concept of the shin is across cultural and national borders a result from folk culture transcending political or cultural borders transmitted via migration of ethnic groups. • Dr. Fee-Alexandra Haase, Assoc. Professor, Cyprus International University, North Cyprus 2 Although similar, mind concepts of different cultures and groups never melted; evidence for this independence gives the Islamic distinctive separation between shin and jinn in this area in the Chinese Quran and other spiritual Chinese writings. On the other hand, the practice of worshipping is similar. Conclusions: A spiritual concept like shin varies in practice in different areas.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Now writing under the pen-name of HARUN YAHYA, Adnan Oktar was born in Ankara in 1956. Having completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he studied fine arts at Istanbul's Mimar Sinan University and philosophy at Istanbul University. Since the 1980s, he has published many books on political, scientific, and faith-related issues. Harun Yahya is well-known as the author of important works disclosing the imposture of evolutionists, their invalid claims, and the dark liaisons between Darwinism and such bloody ideologies as fascism and communism. Harun Yahya's works, translated into 63 different languages, constitute a collection for a total of more than 55,000 pages with 40,000 illustrations. His pen-name is a composite of the names Harun (Aaron) and Yahya (John), in memory of the two esteemed Prophets who fought against their peoples' lack of faith. The Prophet's seal on his books' covers is symbolic and is linked to their contents. It represents the Qur'an (the Final Scripture) and Prophet Muhammad (saas), last of the prophets. Under the guidance of the Qur'an and the Sunnah (teachings of the Prophet [saas]), the author makes it his purpose to disprove each fundamental tenet of irreligious ideologies and to have the "last word," so as to completely silence the objections raised against religion. He uses the seal of the final Prophet (saas), who attained ultimate wisdom and moral perfection, as a sign of his intention to offer the last word. All of Harun Yahya's works share one single goal: to convey the Qur'an's message, encourage readers to consider basic faith-related issues such as Allah's existence and unity and the Hereafter; and to expose irreligious systems' feeble foundations and perverted ideologies.

  • KHUTBA Friday 06.01.12 English
KHUTBA Friday 06.01.12 English Story of Prophet Solomon (pbuh) Part 2 of 2 All thanks are due to Allah, the Most-Generous. I bear witness that there is nothing worthy of worship except him. He has no partners. May Allah send peace and blessings upon his final messenger. And then, Servants of Allah, today we will talk about Prophet Solomon (PBUH) story with the Hoopoe. He set out to find the hoopoe bird, which could detect water under the ground. He sent signals all over the hoopoe to call on him, but it was nowhere to be found. In anger, he declared that unless the bird had a good reason for its absence, he would punish it severely. The hoopoe eventually came to Solomon and explained the reason for its delay. "I have discovered something of which you are not aware. I have come from Sheba (Sab'a) with important news." Solomon became curious, and his anger subsided. The bird continued: Sab'a is ruled by a queen named Bilkis (Bilqis), who has plenty of everything, including a splendid throne. But in spite of all this wealth, Satan has entered her heart and the hearts of her people. She rules their minds completely. I was shocked to learn that they worship the sun instead of Allah the Almighty." To check the hoopoe's information, Solomon sent a letter to the queen with the bird. He instructed the bird to remain hidden and to watch everything. The Queen of Sheba Sends Gifts The hoopoe dropped the letter in front of the queen and flew away to hide.

Jurnal CMES Volume VII Nomor 2 Edisi Juli - Desember 2014 Jurusan Sastra Arab Bekerjasama dengan PSTT FSSR UNS HIKAYAT ALFU LAILAH WA LAILAH: ANALISIS STRUKTUR NARATIF Sangidu Guru Besar Sastra Arab Modern Fakultas Ilmu Budaya UGM Yogyakarta [email protected] Abstract The stories of the Arabian Nights were written by many people over the course of hundreds of years. The core of original stories came out of Persia and India in the early eighth century. They were translated into Arabic and given the name Alfu Laylah wa laylah or The Thousand Nights and One Night. This set of stories was few in number and fell far short of living up to the number in its title. The Arabian Nights stand near the top of the list of literary works that have influenced western literature. The first stories from the Nights to reach Europe did so around the 12th century. Chaucer's Horse, for example, is evidently The Enchanted Horse from the Arabian Nights. The real influence began, however, Galland's translation brought the full set of the tales to Europe in the early 1700's. The application of narrative structure to alfu lailah wa can be conducted by focusing on the study of the plot which makes up series of events. The analysis is made on the experiences undergone by King Syahriar and his wife, Syahrazad from the beginning to the end of the story. The result of the analysis shows that generally the narrative structure of the story can be divided into three parts, namely prologue, body, and epilogue.

Ahmed HULUSI Inquisition is half of knowledge. Muhammad (saw) “Say: My Rabb, increase my knowledge.” Quran 20:114 “Do you still not reflect?” Quran 6:50 To Hadhrat Ali (r.a.): “...Be close to Allah with your intellect!..” (Hadith) Be not of the creatures who live with their eyes, but of the wise ones who evaluate with insight! Ahmed HULUSI This book has been penned for those who reflect. Ahmed HULUSI TRANSLATOR’S PREFACE The Human Enigma is probably the most comprehensive book, in all aspects, on the mysterious and profound make- up of man and his perpetual journey. From the formation of the brain and the illusory ‘compositional’ identity, to the zodiacal signs and their effects on mankind, from fate and purpose, to the stages and conditions of Doomsday and the infinite afterlife, from the science behind the pillars of Islam and the recommended practices, to the Absolute Oneness and Unity of existence, nothing is left unexplained. Given the biggest cause of religious misunderstanding and divergence is the failure to correctly decode the metaphoric and symbolic language used in religious scriptures, Ahmed Hulusi sheds invaluable light to this ambiguity with the lamp of science, bringing immense clarity to the confused intellectual, leaving no questions unanswered.
