It is hoped that this book will give enlightenment to our brothers and sisters; and will help them in appreciating and following the tenets of Islam more faithfully. I dedicate the Thawab (Reward) of wpting this book to my father, Maulana Hakim Sayyid Abul-Hasan, who left this world for the eternal life on 21st December, 1974. If I have achieved anything, it is because of his loving but firm guidance, teaching and inspiration. He guided me as what to study and how, and moulded my way of thinking. Imam Zaynu ’1-‘Abidin (A.S.) has taught us to realize that the father, “is your root and you are his branch; and that but for him you were nonexistent. Therefore, whenever you find in yourself anything likeable, remember that your father is the basic means of that gift (of Allah to you). And be thankful to Allah and grateful to your father accordingly.” May Allah give him highest place near the 14 Masumeen (A.S.). Amen! I am thankful to Mr. Mohsin M. R. The English original was later reprinted in Toronto (Canada). Now I have revised it making additions here and there and giving the necessary references in Footnotes. It is hoped that this edition will prove even more popular than the previous one. Some of them are explained here:- 1. Al-‘Akhirah: The next (world), the (life) hereafter. Its opppsites are al-‘ula (the first world) and ad-dunya (the nearer world), both of which refer to this world in which we presently live. Allah says: “All praise is due to Him in

    The Revelation of Jesus Christ “Gog and Magog” Revelation 20:7-10; Ezekiel 38 & 39 Introduction Revelation 20:1-6 presents the reality of Jesus Christ reigning over all the earth for 1000 years while Satan is locked up in the Abyss. In Revelation 20:7-10, John records the vision where Satan is released from the Abyss at the end of the Millennial Reign of Christ. Satan is then able to gather an army of rebels from all nations (“Gog and Magog”) to come against Christ in Jerusalem. This battle is referred to as the “Battle of Gog and Magog”. But there is also a battle of “Gog and Magog” mentioned in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Are these two battles the same? The Scripture makes it clear that there are two separate battles which carry the reference to “Gog and Magog”. Consideration of these battles will powerfully demonstrate that sinful men continue in their sinful rebellion against God, even after His glorious 1000-year reign of peace and prosperity. It is not surprising that God will judge those who reject His salvation through Jesus. I. The Historical Roots of Gog and Magog Gen. 10:2; Ez. 38:2,15; 39:3-9 A. Magog was a grandson of Noah (Genesis 10:2) B. The descendants of Magog settled in Europe and northern Asia (Ez. 38:2) referred to as "northern barbarians" C.     ISRAEL IN PROPHECY LESSON 5 GOG AND MAGOG BATTLE ISRAEL The “latter days” battle against Israel described in Ezekiel is applied by dispensationalists to a coming battle against the modern nation of Israel in Palestine. The majority of popular Bible commentators try to map out this battle and even name nations that will take part in it. In this lesson you will see that this prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 does not apply to the modern nation of Israel at all. You will study how the book of Revelation gives us insights into how this prophecy will be applied to God’s people, spiritual Israel (the church) in the last days. You will also see a clear parallel between the events described in Ezekiel’s prophecy and John’s description of the seven last plagues in Revelation. This prophecy of Ezekiel gives you another opportunity to learn how the “Three Fold Application” applies to Old Testament prophecy. This lesson lays out how Ezekiel’s prophecy was originally given to the literal nation of Israel at the time of the Babylonian captivity, and would have met a victorious fulfillment if they had remained faithful to God and accepted their Messiah, Jesus Christ. However, because of Israel’s failure this prophecy is being fulfilled today to “spiritual Israel”, the church in a worldwide setting. The battle in Ezekiel describes Satan’s last efforts to destroy God’s remnant people. It will intensify as we near the second coming of Christ. Ezekiel’s battle will culminate and reach it’s “literal worldwide in glory” fulfillment at the end of the 1000 years as described in Revelation chapter 20.

    ABOUT THE AUTHOR Now writing under the pen-name of HARUN YAHYA, Adnan Oktar was born in Ankara in 1956. Having completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he studied fine arts at Istanbul's Mimar Sinan University and philosophy at Istanbul University. Since the 1980s, he has published many books on political, scientific, and faith-related issues. Harun Yahya is well-known as the author of important works disclosing the imposture of evolutionists, their invalid claims, and the dark liaisons between Darwinism and such bloody ideologies as fascism and communism. Harun Yahya's works, translated into 63 different languages, constitute a collection for a total of more than 55,000 pages with 40,000 illustrations. His pen-name is a composite of the names Harun (Aaron) and Yahya (John), in memory of the two esteemed Prophets who fought against their peoples' lack of faith. The Prophet's seal on his books' covers is symbolic and is linked to their contents. It represents the Qur'an (the Final Scripture) and Prophet Muhammad (saas), last of the prophets. Under the guidance of the Qur'an and the Sunnah (teachings of the Prophet [saas]), the author makes it his purpose to disprove each fundamental tenet of irreligious ideologies and to have the "last word," so as to completely silence the objections raised against religion. He uses the seal of the final Prophet (saas), who attained ultimate wisdom and moral perfection, as a sign of his intention to offer the last word. All of Harun Yahya's works share one single goal: to convey the Qur'an's message, encourage readers to consider basic faith-related issues such as Allah's existence and unity and the Hereafter; and to expose irreligious systems' feeble foundations and perverted ideologies.

T his is the Intermediate Realm [Barzakh]. God the Exalted has said: And behind them is a barzakh until the day when they are raised. [23:100] W hen a M uslim dies, and his death is confirmed, he has to be prepared for the grave. T hus he must be washed, shrouded, and prayed over [jandza], all o f which must be done according to the Prophetic Sunna. H is relatives, neigh bours, and friends must be informed, and also the people o f goodness and virtue, so that they m ay pray and ask mercy for him, and attend his funeral.
