Describe the important developments relating to the Bologna Process, including legislative reforms, since Bergen. Over the past two years in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), some significant shifts have been recorded in the implementation of the Bologna Process. The biggest credit for this goes primarily to the public universities in BiH and the international community (first of all the Council of Europe, the European Commission in BiH and the Austrian Development Agency). As of this year, at all public universities in BiH, the implementation of the first cycle has started in compliance with the Bologna principles. The curricula have been reformed and adjusted to the two-cycle system of study; two models have been most often used: 3+2 and 4+1, depending on the university or the study group. Some faculties and universities had started the implementation of the first cycle as early as in the 2003/04 academic year, and next year we will be expecting the first generation of students bearing the title of Bachelor of Science.
