School Play March 2002 VHS Drama Students Perform “Here Comes the Judge” by Andy Farmer Vienna High School Held It’S An- Nual Play on March 15-16 The Talon Page 2 Volume 8, Issue 6 School Play March 2002 VHS Drama Students Perform “Here Comes the Judge” By Andy Farmer Vienna High School held it’s an- nual play on March 15-16. The play was performed three times, once for the grade schools, once for the high school and again for a general audi- ence at night. The play was entitled “Here Comes The Judge,” and was the story of a zany judge and his court room. There was lots of action, and quite a few comical parts. The play even got romantic a couple of times with an onstage smooch or two. All seemed to enjoy the play, es- pecially the high school performance where things didn’t go exactly as Wally Weisner played by Dean Betts, taking control of the courtroom scripted. One of the things David Hill brought to the play this year was an Andy Farmer as the judge ruling over understudy program where more his court people could be involved in the play. Most of the understudies were in- volved in the grade school perfor- mance. Jenny Stachowiak, who portrayed Winniferd Smith, commented, “I thought the play was a great success this year considering all we went through to get it together. Many com- pliments to my fellow cast!” This is David Hill’s second year in charge of the play and he was “very pleased” with the performances. Radiohead members independently released the album with Nigel Godrich, an arrangement they used for their subsequent albums. In addition to the song Lucky, recorded in 1995, Radiohead recorded OK Computer in Oxfordshire and Bath between 1996 and early 1997, mainly in the historic St Catherine's Court mansion. The band distanced themselves from the guitar, lyrically introspective style of their previous album The Bends. THE abstract texts of OK Computer, densely layered sound and eclectic influences laid the groundwork for Radiohead's later, more experimental works. The album depicts a world fraught with unbridled consumerism, social exclusion, emotional isolation and political malaise; as such, OK Computer is said to have a prophetic understanding of the mood of 21st century life. Unconventional production methods on the album include natural reverb through recording on the stairs, and the lack of audio separation, allowing the instruments not to reconnect separately.

They risked their lives and used their camera lenses to tell the world of the brutality and violence associated with the first free elections in post Apartheid South Africa in the early 90s. This intense political period brought out their best work – two won Pulitzers during the period – but cost them a heavy price. Based on the book of the same name by Marinovich and Silva, the film stars Ryan Phillipe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch and explores the thrill, danger and moral questions associated with exposing the truth. 2 ABOUT THE DIRECTOR Written and directed by Steven Silver, The Bang Bang Club is a Canada/South Africa co-production from producer Daniel Iron of Foundry Films Inc.
