We’re a community business with strong ties to the local fleet . There has been an oyster farm in the Fleet at Chesil Beach for 30 years, and in 2004 a new and innovative oyster growing system from Australia was introduced. The Australian system is new to Europe and consists of timber post and rail rows carrying purpose made enclosed plastic mesh PRODUCT LISTING baskets – AQUAPURSE. Part grown oysters (30-40mm) are sourced from the Channel Islands and FISH & SEAFOOD relaid in the Fleet AQUAPURSE for between 7-12 months. By this time Oysters they are of marketable size.
