Riassunto Attraverso questo articolo l‘obiettivo è di trattare la questione della diversità culturale nel calcio d‘ lite italiano alla luce del ruolo attribuito alla pratica per promuovere una concezione della patria basata sull‘omogeneità etnica dei cittadini. L‘analisi storica promossa dall‘articolo tende a mostrare che la patrimonializzazione del calcio come pure prodotto culturale di una nazione è una menzogna storica che spinge a considerare la diversificazione dell‘origine geografica dei calciatori inseriti nei club e nelle selezioni nazionali come qualcosa da debellare con ogni mezzo, sia esso giuridico, etico o morale. L‘obiettivo della presentazione è di rendere attenti sul fatto che il calcio nella sua fase di diffusione sul continente europeo era praticato come simbolo d‘apertura e di modernismo e che il conservatorismo ad esso associato attualmente dalle istanze dirigenti sportive e politiche nell‘ambito della lotta per la preservazione delle identità territoriali tradizionali non deve impedire di considerare l‘attività come un viatico per lo sviluppo d‘una visione dell‘alterità meno etnicista e stereotipata.   • Uruguay 1930, Con Jules Rimet Al Centro De La Misma
    El “padre” de la Copa del Mundo, el francés Jules Rimet, que había sido abogado, árbitro de futbol y dirigente deportivo, fue designado presidente de la FIFA en 1921. Desde 1924 había formado una comisión de cinco miembros que tenía la finalidad de verificar si existían las condiciones para la creación de una competencia mundial de futbol ajena a la de los Juegos Olímpicos. Tuvo que sortear muchos inconvenientes, entre ellos la retirada de la FIFA de las federaciones británicas, en esos tiempos consideradas como “los maestros”. Sin embargo, con su impulso y decisión logró que en el Congreso Ordinario de Amsterdam se acordara la celebración en 1930 de una “competición abierta a las selecciones de todas las federaciones asociadas”. Finalmente, el 18 de mayo de 1929, en el Congreso de la FIFA celebrado en Barcelona, se decidió asignar la organización del primer campeonato del mundo en 1930 al Uruguay. La decisión tenía muchos fundamentos: en el plano deportivo, los dos triunfos de la “celeste” en los Juegos Olímpicos de 1924 (París) y 1928 (Amsterdam), a la época la única manifestación que podía considerarse como “un mundial” de futbol, lo que daba a los uruguayos un primerisímo nivel; mientras que en el plano político, el año 1930 coincidía con el centenario de la Constitución de la República, lo que implicaba una celebración fastuosa y que mejor que con un evento de esta magnitud. He aquí a los delegados de la FIFA participantes en ese histórico Congreso de Barcelona. Decidida la sede, se necesitaba un trofeo para premiar al campeón de la competencia por venir y aquellas sucesivas.

He comes from gymnastics family (his brother Pavel have world championship medals) and he devoted his life to gymnastics. His last achievement is establishment of Narodna encyklopedia športu Slovenska (www.sportency.sk). Among his passion is collecting photos and signatures of gymnasts. As we tend to forget old champions and important gymnasts, judges and coaches, we decided to publish part of his archive under title Short historical notes. All information on these pages is from Anton’s archives and collected through years. MIROSLAV CERAR (October, 28 1939 Ljubljana, Slovenia) Miroslav Cerar was born to father Ivan (navy officer) and mother Pavla (housekeeper and seamstress). In 1947 he started with gymnastics at TVD Partizan Narodni dom (the first Slovene gymnastics club, established in 1863). His development was extremely fast due to his excellent physical preparation, as he was very flexible and strong. He was between 1958 and 1970 the best gymnast on pommel horse, with great achievements also on other apparatus. He was famous for his scissors and excellent double leg circles, which allowed him to perform Russian circles on pommels. Judges steeped in the sport and committed to judging the British Gymnastics Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) programme. National Judge Very involved, having passed a difficult examination. Expected to judge all codes at regional level and at least ‘E’ jury at national level. Regional Judge This handbook is the bulk of the syllabus. Judging all apparatus as ‘E’ jury at regional level, and floor as ‘D’ jury. There is also some setwork judging. A 2½-day course with examination. A parent with no background will find this hard until they have judged/been involved for a while. A coach or gymnast should be able to absorb the material. Minimum age: 18 years (16 years with suitable experience and MJP approval). Club Judge An introductory level in the form of a 1-day course. Parents/busy coaches start here. Minimum age: 14 years.
