Are there spots on where there are volcanoes and room for a rover to land or go to?

Our queson is important because we need to find ways to have a rover land safely around a . There's a possibility that if a rover lands on a volcano we could find hyperthermophiles ( one of the two extremophiles ). Our queson is Interesng because Scienst and people who observe or have interest in Mars all want to know if there was ever life that was found on this planet. Volcanoes on Mars are much similar to volcanoes on Earth. Extremophiles are found inside the volcanoes on earth. On mars, extremophiles could be found around the volcanoes depending on how the nature of Mars affected them. Magma works its way up to mars surface. At the surface, it erupts to form flows and ash deposits. Over me as the volcano connues to erupt, it will get bigger and bigger.

Hyperthermophile survives in high condions like volcanoes and gains energy by inorganic redox, reacons employing compounds like molecular , carbon dioxide, sulfur and ferric and ferrous . Carbon dioxide and sulfur is found from volcano erupons. Found in high temperature aquac environment .ex. yellowstone. Psychrophile: survives in low condions. Lives in deep sea to polar regions. Microbes(bacterium) at warmer temperatures, the oxygen in the atmosphere oxides the iron before the microbes can use it. But in the lava tubes where it is covered by ice it is sheltered from oxygen.

CONCLUSION: Our queson was ‘ Is there a spot on Mars that a rover can land safely around a volcano? ‘ Our hypothesis was ‘ All three of the volcanoes that we’ve picked would have a smooth enough surface area for a rover to land safely. ‘ Aer all the research was done, we came to the conclusion that Ascraeus Mons, Alba Mons, and Arsia Mons all have smooth surfaces for the rover to land on without damage.

We acknowledge for all the help they’ve given us and the me they took out of their day to work with us. (:
