Aron Ralston is a wonderful man who has been teaching a very important lesson. If it seems impossible to live and everything go wrong, have confidence in yourself. Aron Ralston has impressed many with his amazing survival story and managed to survive his ordeal, despite his troubles. Aron Lee Ralston born in 27 October 1975 in Marion, Ohio, his parents are Larry Ralston and Donna Ralston, when Aron was 12 years old his family moved to Colorado, and that move laid the foundations for his love of canyon walking. He followed his dad, who was an outdoor man as well. He went to high school in Cherry Creek to learn skiing and backpacking. He received a degree in mechanics and French with a minor in piano from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He worked as a resident assistant at Carnegie Mellon, studied abroad and played in sports inside the city he also worked as a rafting guide during the summer. In Ocotillo, Tacoma, and Albuquerque, Ralston worked as a mechanical engineer for five years but he was burned out by a large corporation. He developed mountain skills during his time as an engineer and left for Denali in 2002. He went to Aspen, Colorado to follow a life of mountains climbing. Ralston started working to climb all the "fourteener" peaks of Colorado over an altitude of 14,000 feet (4,270 m) and 59 solos in the winter (a feat that had never been recorded before). He and his ski partners Mark Beverly and Chadwick Spencer were caught in a Grade 5 avalanche at Resolution Peak, Colorado, in 2003. No one had been seriously injured but his friends did not discuss his approach to risk management in the aftermath. Shannon told Ralston police, according to reports, shook her on the shoulder while he left her home. The police noted the baby daughter of the couple was present at the battle. April 26 2003 Aron Ralston went hiking in the Blue john canyon during the descent of the lower stretches of the slot canyon, a hanging boulder dislodged as he climbed.
