Mind Mapping ist eine Methode zum Aufschreiben - von Ideen, Protokollen, Mitschriften, Ideen, Planungen, Analysen usw. Sie eignet sich hervorragend dazu, Gedanken, Ideen, Strukturen, Gliederungen etc. so aufzuzeichnen, dass diese Aufzeichnungen leicht ergänzt, vervollständigt oder ausgeweitet werden können. Durch die Art der Aufzeichnung nutzt Mind Mapping dazu sowohl die verstandesmäßigen als auch die kreativen Fähigkeiten des Menschen – die jede(r) hat. Das wird erreicht durch den Ersatz des normalen, linearen Mitschreibens durch eine organische, radiale Methode mit Farben und Bildern. Die normale, lineare Aufzeichnung ist unübersichtlich, schwer zu ergänzen und schwer zu merken. Viele der großen Genies der Menschheitsgeschichte schrieben stattdessen in ihren Notizbüchern chaotische, bebilderte Texte, „unordentlich“ und daher gehirngerecht. Die Methode beruht auf Erkenntnissen der Hirnforschung (dazu später mehr). Entwickelt wurde sie von Toni Buzan Anfang der 70er Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er suchte damals, als Student, nach hirngerechten Methoden der Vorlesungsmitschrift. Da er keine fand, entwickelte er eine – das Mind Mapping (Mind Map ist eine registrierte Handelsmarke von Toni Buzan). Zur Erstellung einer Mind Map® gibt es „ideale“ Voraussetzungen: großes Papier, Buntstifte, Ruhe etc. Im Zweifelsfall kann damit aber auch an jedem Ort, an dem Schreiben/Zeichnen möglich ist, begonnen werden. Ob im Büro am Whiteboard, zu Hause mit einem Zeichenblock oder am Wirtshaustisch mit einer Papierserviette und einem Kugelschreiber, überall kann man mit einer Mind Map® anfangen. Für eine Mind Map® benötigt man nur etwas zum Schreiben. Das kann Papier und Kugelschreiber, ein Whiteboard mit Stiften oder auch ein PC sein. Auf die Schreibfläche (wenn möglich im Querformat – dazu mehr weiter unten) wird das Thema in die Mitte geschrieben und umrandet. Von dieser Umrandung aus werden Linien gezogen (Hauptäste), auf denen stichpunktartig die wichtigen Unterpunkte, Teile, Ideen etc. zu diesem Thema notiert werden. Von diesen Hauptästen aus können weitere Linien (Unteräste oder Zweige) den jeweiligen Punkt weiter aufgliedern. Die Äste und Zweige sollten dabei in unterschiedlichen Farben gemalt werden. Kleine Zeichnungen und Symbole ergänzen das Bild. Gruppen von Ästen und Zweigen können mit einer Wolke optisch zusammengefasst werden. Einzelne Zweige können mit einer Linie verbunden werden, um Beziehungen außerhalb der hierarchischen Baumstruktur darzustellen. Folgendes sollte dabei beachtet werden: 1. Eine Mind Map® ist am besten lesbar im Querformat. Das hat weiter den Vorteil, dass die komplette Mind Map® im Sichtbereich ist, da jeder Mensch durch die Anordnung der Augen ein entsprechendesquerformatiges Sichtfeld hat. Weiterhin ist mehr Platz, um waagrecht = lesbar zu schreiben (siehe Punkt 3). 2. Auf die Äste und Zweige nur Stichwörter schreiben – ein bis zwei Worte sind genug! Das assoziative Gedächtnis rekonstruiert den Sinn ganz leicht, und die Mind Map® ist so leichter zu erfassen und zu merken. Tatsächlich ist das einer der wichtigsten Punkte. Jeder längere Text muss erst im Gehirn verarbeitet werden, ein Stichwort jedoch erzeugt ein sofortiges Bild und löst damit Assoziationsketten aus. Merken und Erfassen gehen blitzschnell vonstatten. 3. Handschriftliche Mind Maps® sollten mit Druckbuchstaben geschrieben werden, damit sie leicht zu lesen sind. In Großbuchstaben schreiben ist nur im angelsächsischen Sprachraum empfehlenswert, in Deutschland sind groß- und klein geschriebene Wörter leichter lesbar. 4. Der Text sollte weitestgehend waagrecht geschrieben werden. Die Map soll lesbar sein, ohne sie drehen zu müssen. 5. Wenn man mit den Ästen und Zweigen in die Ecken des Papiers (bzw. Whiteboards oder was immer verwendet wird) zielt, ist die Lesbarkeit am leichtesten zu erreichen. 6. Verschiedene Farben für unterschiedliche Äste unterstützt die Benutzung beider Hirn-Hemisphären! 7. Durch den Einsatz von Grafiken und Icons kann man sich die Mind Map besser merken und sie auch besser verarbeiten bzw. auf einen Blick verstehen. Mind Maps® kann man auf jede Art Papier schreiben, wenn es nur groß genug ist. Hat man nur kleine Papierzettel zur Verfügung, können die einzelnen Wörter auf die Zettel geschrieben werden, und die Anordnung der Zettel ergibt die Mind Map®. Das ist auch eine mögliche Vorgehensweise, wenn man mit Moderationskarten und –wand im Team arbeiten will. Mind Maps® können auch am PC erstellt werden. Dafür gibt es spezielle Programme. Die Vor- und Nachteile von Mind Mapping am PC werden in einem eigenen Kapitel erläutert. Eine Mind Map® kann man alleine erstellen. Das hat den Vorteil, dass man seine eigenen Assoziationsketten verwendet, und die entstehende Map ist besonders leicht zu verstehen und zu merken. Man kann auch im Team arbeiten. Damit die Assoziationen und Stichwörter aber wirklich von allen verstanden werden, sollte die Map gemeinsam erstellt werden. eBooks kostenlos herunterladen auf bookboon.com 7 Einführung in das Mind Mapping Warum es funktioniert 3 Warum es funktioniert Das menschliche Gehirn besteht aus zwei Hälften oder Hemisphären, einer linken und einer rechten. Diese Hälften sind durch mehrere Nervenstränge miteinander verbunden. Die stärkste Verbindung ist das corpuscallosum. Diese Hirnhälften teilen sich nun in der Steuerung des Körpers, wobei dies unterhalb des Kopfes gekreuzt ist: die linke Hälfte steuert die rechte Körperseite und umgekehrt. Aber die Unterschiede sind auch prinzipieller Natur. So ist die linke Hemisphäre besonders aktiv, wenn es um Logik, Text, Zahlen, rationales Denken etc. geht, während die rechte Hemisphäre für Bilder, Farben, Musik, Assoziationen, Kreativität etc. zuständig ist. Durch das Querformat, das beide Augen gleichberechtigt nutzt, und durch die Farben und Grafiken wird nun die rechte Hemisphäre des Gehirns aktiv, durch die Texte die linke Hemisphäre. Da die komplette Mind Map® im Blickfeld ist, sind Lücken schnell zu erkennen. Ebenso sind die Punkte, die korrigiert oder ergänzt werden müssen, schnell zu finden. Die Korrekturen und Ergänzungen sind also leicht durchzuführen, die gesamte „Gedanken-Karte“ ist leicht zu merken. Over the years, we’ve gotten better at it. We regularly hold meetings where we review how articles performed with readers from the week before and discuss why we think that’s so. We brainstorm and pitch new and exciting article ideas to our writer community on a weekly basis. And we build and nurture close relationships with many writers who publish articles for us every month. It will give students insight and experience in key issues of data and knowledge processing in companies.
