It now sits on 110 hectares just outside of the beautiful city of Bordeaux, in the south west of France. The stud is home to 80 broodmares, with around 50 of those belonging to Chopard himself. His homebreds are easy to spot on the track as they all feature the suffix “Chop” in their names; such as Gailo Chop (Deportivo), who was second in the Gr.1 Prix d’Ispahan and won at Gr.2, Gr.3 and Listed level before being exported to , where he is now the winner of three Gr.1 races. Haras des Faunes is also home to a talented band of stallions, including new arrival for 2019 Born To Sea, the Gr.1 -placed Invincible Spirit half-brother to superstars Galileo and , as well as Panis, Kheleyf, Vale Of York and the homebred Captain Chop.
