Killarney is a town in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. The town is on the north-eastern shore of Lough Leane and is close to many areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, the Gap of Dunloe and Torc Waterfall. Its natural heritage, history and location on the Ring of Kerry make Killarney a popular tourist destination.
County Kerry is in the Southwest region of Ireland and is part of the province of Munster. Kerry is the fifth- largest of the 32 counties of Ireland by area and the 15th-largest by population. The county also has a strong Gaelic footballing tradition and the county colours are green and yellow. The county is often referred to as ‘the Kingdom.’
With its mountains, lakes and Atlantic coastline, Kerry is among the most scenic areas in Ireland and is one of the most significant tourist destinations in Ireland.
