Mingde College of Guizhou University 2021 International Students’Prospectus Mingde College of Guizhou University 2021 International Students’Prospectus 1、Introduction Mingde College of Guizhou University was founded in 2001. In 2013, Guizhou University cooperated with TELLHOW group to hold Mingde College of Guizhou University. Guizhou University, a national university with the “211 Project” and the world's first-class disciplines, has a wealth of education and teaching resources. TELLHOW Group was established in 1988 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in July 2002. It is one of the top 100 electronic information companies in China and the top 500 private manufacturing companies in China. At present, the number of students in the college exceeds 14000, covering an area of 955 mu, with a building area of more than 560000 square meters. With complete teaching and living facilities, the college becomes a new mechanism undergraduate college with beautiful environment and perfect facilities. Nowadays, there are 6 Department including Health Management, Economic Management, Digital Media, Civil Engineering, Information Engineering Intelligent Engineering. There are 43 bachelor majors registered in the Ministry of education, including data science and big data technology, network and new media, public utilities management, machine-made engineering, marketing and civil engineering, among which 20 are engineering majors. In the past 20 years, the college has trained more than 20000 graduates. The college has carried out the employment work throughout the whole talent training process. The employment situation of graduates has made certain achievements. In recent years, the year-end employment rate of the college has exceeded 95%, and the employment rate of some engineering majors has exceeded 98% for consecutive years. According to the annual average score, there are 1 special scholarship, 2 first prize, 3 second prize and 4 third prize; 3) In principle, all kinds of scholarships can not be applied repeatedly. 6、Admission Procedure （1）Eligibility 1) Basic Requirements ◆Foreign citizens, no criminal record, over 18 and under 25 years old, in good health condition and in accordance with the Health Standard for International Students stipulated by the Ministry of Education, China. ◆Good moral character and discipline towards the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the university, respect Chinese customs and habits. ◆Good academic performance, English or Chinese language proficiency. ◆Certificate from highest education attained. 2) Academic Background ◆For Foundation and Bachelor Program, applicants have to provide high school certificate or above; 3) Language Skills (for degree study applicants) Applicants should have an appropriate languages’ proficiency and are expected to submit related certificates. ◆For Chinese taught programs, you need HSK certificate level 4, score 200 or above; or valid proof of Chinese proficiency. (Chinese native speakers can apply for exemption). ◆For English taught program, you need TOFEL (computer based) score 60 or above; or IELTS (academic) score 5.0 or above; or valid proof of English proficiency. ◆Applicant who without HSK certificate level 4, can join the Language Foundation Program to study Chinese in Mingde College of Guizhou University, and then enter the degree program after passing HSK certificate level 4. （2）Application and Registration Dates ◆Application: 1st December 2020 to 30th June 2021. ◆Registration: September 2021. （3）Application Procedure Applications to all programs should be ONLY done online through Mingde College of Guizhou University “Online Application System”- http://guizhou.ciss.org.cn/uni_gzumdc.html STEP1: Register your account and activate it.     Issue 1: November 2017 Office of China Programs Newsletter Visit our Website Director's Message Dear Colleagues and Friends, First of all, thank you for your continued engagement and support of the programs and activities related to China at Michigan State University. Over more than a decade ago, the Office of China Programs (OCP) was established with missions to promote collaborations in research, education, and technology transfer with China. As a result, MSU has seen a steady surge in Chinese student enrollments, a significant increase in collaborative research projects, various education programs, and faculty exchanges, leading to the current state of a much broader and diversified collaboration portfolio with many institutions and agencies in China. While MSU enjoys enhanced collaborations with China, by the end of 2015 the former founding Director of OCP, Weijun Zhao, decided to retire after years of service to MSU and particularly to the programs related to China. I resumed the directorship of the OCP in early 2016, yet with primary responsibilities still as the Director of the Center for Global Change. Since then, I have been working with deans, directors and staff in ISP, particularly ISP Dean Hanson, VIPP Director Xinyu Wu and Asian Studies Director Siddharth Chandra to continue the OCP's function while assessing challenges and opportunities ahead of the OCP. Given the complexity and changes in geopolitics, research, and education landscape in China, as well as the limited resources, the OCP has to focus on a fewer, but long-term collaborative initiatives with China. This decision and subsequent effort led to the campus wide Asia Hub Initiative, a new, innovative partnership to strengthen multilateral international collaborations, the Joint Institute with Nanjing Agricultural University, and One Health initiative with Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University.

Thriving economic development in Asia, particularly the peaceful rise of China, promotes the interaction between China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), creating more opportunities and challenges for both parties to cooperate in all fields. Against the backdrop of China-ASEAN strategic partnership, the internationalization of higher education, a pioneer in Guizhou’s opening up, has become an important means for strengthening the connection between Guizhou and the outside world and accelerating the reform and development of Guizhou. Reviewing the higher education cooperation and exchange between Guizhou and ASEAN in the past 12 years, this article examines the achievements and insufficiencies in Guizhou-ASEAN higher education cooperation and exchange, and explores the current advantages and prospects for deepening Guizhou-ASEAN higher education cooperation and exchange in the future. It is argued that it would be the right direction for Guizhou to boost its higher education collaboration and development with ASEAN in the future by enlarging their collaborative scale, improving the quality of education, and highlighting its advantages and features in higher education internationalization. Compared with other species of the genus, it is distinguishable by having red-purple pappus; ad- ditionally, it differs from its closest ally S. nayongensis by the larger involucres and phyllaries, and higher number of phyllaries and disk florets. In addition, detailed discussion of morphological differences, the provisional IUCN status and a distribution map are provided.
