The value of its contribution to education in general is enormously great as it has, from the very beginning , tried all its best to lay emphasis on the education of the down trodden, the poor an the ignorant who really from the major bulk of the society. The founder of the institution, Late Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, was a man of the masses who devoted all his mind and heart to the cause of their education. Presently Sanstha runs 41 colleges, 434 secondary schools, 8 teacher training colleges, 21 primary schools, 36 Pre-primary schools, 74 Hostels, 8 Ashram schools and 6 it is. These institutions are widely spread in 14 districts of Maharashtra State and 11 districts of Karnataka State. 4.5 Lakh students are pursuing their education in the sanstha. Rayat Shikshan Sanstha always inculcate the value, “ Education through self help”., as well as dignity of labour is highly appreciated and followed by each one who associated with the Sanstha. About College: Swami Sahajanand Bharati College of Education was established in 1970 in Shrirampur Tehsil. This is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. This college is re-accredited by NAAC Banglore and awarded by “A” Grade with CGPA 3.04 on 21st February 2014. It is 40 K.M.s far from world famous shrine Shirdi Sai Baba. The aim of running this college is to bring and mould the society through producing teacher communities for secondary and higher secondary level education. Special focus is to enhance the quality of student- teachers. The College offers all modern facilities to the learners for all round development. There are two separate hostels for Boys’ & girls’. College has good infrastructure facilities like, Guidance wing, Library, reading hall, Laboratories, ICT resource centre, as well as book bank facility, Wi-fi internet facility. The college has kept the ascending graph of the progress in the field of education. In this era awareness about Human rights is need of the time and everywhere in the world we do come across various issues related to the human rights. Human rights education has to be considered as an integral part of the system of education. Everyone who is literate in all sense should contribute for the cause of human rights. For the desired changes in the society a person or teacher community has to play a crucial role in this noble venture, human rights can be achieved and sustained mostly through education and training. It requires deep study with effective remedies for equal sense of mankind. Education has been considered as the major instrument to address inequalities in the Indian society by promoting equality, social justice and respect for the individual human being, which are preconditions for ensuring rights. In this National Level Seminar resource persons like Hon. Dr. Sanjeev Sonawane, HOD, Dept. of Edun. & Extn. Savitribai Phule Pune University Pune addressed the participants of the seminar in his unique way of presenting intellectual food. Hon. Dr. Jignesh B. Patel Asst. Professor, Centre of Educational Children’s University, Gandhinagar Gujrat has also guided much about human rights education. We have taken sincere efforts to provide opportunities to the participants, teacher educators and research scholars to present their research as well as conceptual papers. The child sex ratio in Ahmednagar district was 852 as per 2011 census. Out of fourteen tahsils only in five tehsil have more than district’s average CSR but remaining ten tehsil have below district’s CSR. Out of 1462 villages in this taluka the child sex ratio (CSR) was found below 600 in 28 villages, the CSR found between 600 - 700 in 63 villages, in 237 villages the CSR was found between 700 – 800, while in the 468 villages the CSR was lies between 800 - 900 and above 900 CSR found in 666 villages in Ahmednagar district. Near about 55% villages have below 900 child sex ratio. Keywords: CSR, villages, boys, girls. Introduction There are various elements of population composition. Among these elements sex composition is important compassion and holds a prime place for social point of view. The balance between two sexes affects the social and economic relationship within a community. The profound effect of the proportion of the two sexes upon the other demographic elements like population growth, marriage rates, occupational structure etc. Therefore, bthe bstudy of sex ratio is very important. This chapter emphasises some of the problems of a g ric u ltu re and agro-based industries in Ahmed­ nagar d is t r ic t . 7.2 TalukaMise irrigation sources and imbalance in net irrigated area in the district There are 13 talukas in the Ahmednagar district, some of them were irrig a te d , whereas some were dry. Ir r ig a tio n was unequal in the d is t r ic t during the decade 1981-90. This imbalance in irrigation created imbalance in agricultural development. Water is also the basic need for industrialisa­ tion, but there was scarcity of water even for drinking in Pathardi, Shevgaon, Jamkhed, Parner and Karjat talukas. Agro-industrialisation was very slow in these talukas due to non availability of water supply. Inadequate water supply affects the production of agro-based industries, for exam­ ple, paper mill of Sangamner sugar factory was facing a 241 severe problem of water supply during the year 1986-87, which affected the production of th is m ill.^ There are two types of irrigation.     CHAPTER 4 SOLE OF SUGAR COOPERATIVES IN DEVELOPMENT OF IRRIGATION FACILITIES 4.1 Introdwctj-Qft As seen in the previous chapter, the problem of distribution of water between sugarcane cultivating areas and other areas has been an important issue since the beginning of the 20th century. Now, as I have examined the issue only at the macro level in the previous chapter, it is necessary to see how some individual cooperative sugar factories have really acted in the area of irrigation development and how their activities affected other areas than their command areas or other parties than sugarcane-growers. In this chapter, at first, efforts on irrigation development of a few sugar cooperatives are examined, and then, the effects of irrigation development by sugar cooperatives on other areas or other parties are studied with examples from a few districts in Maharashtra. 4.2 Vasantdada Shetkari SuRag C<?PPei:9tiYfi> The case of Vasantdada Shetkari Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd., Sangli is worth noting because, although Sangli was not a traditionally known sugarcane-cultivating area, amazingly rapid development of lift irrigation was seen fcr in the early history of this sugar cooperative, because of the foresight and help of a notable leader, Vasantdada Patil. When the factory started its first crushing season in 1958, the area under sugarcane available to it from its command area was not more than 800 hectares. In the command area of the factory, there were 3 rivers flowing, namely, the Krishna, the Warna and the Verla; however, the government was then thinking that lift irrigation projects on rivers were not feasible.

Latur ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract - The net sown area, current fallows and land under tree crops and groves are included in agricultural land use. Use of land is an important factor for planning process because of the predetermined nature of land resource. In Ahmednagar district covered an area of about three-fifth area under plough in Kharif (62 percent to net sown area) and less than two-fifth was under Rabi (38 percent to net sown area) season in the district. The crops viz. Bajra, Rice, Cotton, Wheat, Jawar, Maize, Vegetable, Pulses, Fodder crops, Oilseeds, Sugarcane and Fruits were cultivated in the district. Jawar is leading crop in Ahmednagar District. The Percentage of Jawar is 25.31 percent, Bajara is 19.29 percent, Sugarcane is 6.90 percent, Pulses is 5.37 percent, Wheat is 5.29 percent, Fodder crops are 4.90 percent, Oilseeds are 4.68 percent, Cotton is 4.63 percent, Vegetables are 3.46 percent, Fruits are 1.41 percent, Maize is 1.16 percent, Rice is 0.77 and Other crops are 0.76 percent recorded. Percentage area under cultivation of bajara, oilseeds, Jawar, pulses, wheat and rice was found to be decreased, while percentage area of vegetable, fodder, fruits and sugarcane was found to be increased.
