Pasco County is currently recruiting a Planner 1 position to join the Metropolitan Planning Organization which is comprised of seven positions. The starting salary is $47,066 and offers excellent benefits. The MPO is administratively housed within Pasco County which recently earned a 2021 Top Workplace USA award!

As part of the larger Tampa Bay region, the Pasco County MPO employees not only have easy access to many activities but have the opportunity to live, work, and play in the same region as the Superbowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Rays who went to the World Series last year. Florida is home to many teams in the Grapefruit League of the Major League Baseball spring training locations. Pasco County is about an hour drive from several MLB teams such as the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburg Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays and during regular season, the Tampa Bay Rays.
If sports are not your thing, the region boasts the Dali Museum, the Tampa Museum of Art, the Morean Arts Center, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the Florida Air Museum, the Henry B. Plant Museum and so many more! The region is home to the Bok Tower Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens, Adventure Islands, and Tampa Riverwalk. Exciting neighborhoods such as Ybor City and charming communities such as Dunedin, Tarpon Springs, and the Sarasota area are all within easy driving distance from Pasco County.
We are located a short drive from the Tampa International Airport for vacation destinations that can quickly and affordably take you out of Florida. Throughout Florida are spectacular beaches and plenty of water-based activities such as deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, or simply lounging in the sand and surf. After you experience Florida’s beaches, you will find that very few beaches in the Caribbean can compete with Florida. Summers are tropical and winters are very mild, usually only requiring a light jacket or long-sleeved shirt. Pasco County does not own a snowplow.
