MOON TAXI RELEASES NEW SINGLE “RESTLESS” VIA RCA RECORDS LISTEN NOW: https://smarturl.it/mtRestless [New York, NY – June 26, 2019] Nashville’s own alt-rock-five-piece band Moon Taxi today releases their brand new single “Restless” via RCA Records. Listen HERE. “Restless” follows the band’s latest tracks “Now’s the Time” and “This World” released this spring. STREAM/BUY “RESTLESS” https://smarturl.it/mtRestless Spencer Thomson of Moon Taxi explains: “The song ‘Restless’ was inspired by the innovative spirit of trailblazers like Steve Jobs. When we wrote ‘Restless,’ we wanted to create a song that paid homage to that spirit of invention. These pioneers didn’t settle for the status quo and were able to see the world from a different view. So often they started from humble beginnings, starting out in garages or out of someone’s house, not unlike a lot of rock ‘n roll bands and artists. We tried to have the track capture a mix of that punk rock energy mixed with futuristic sounding elements. We’re excited to have ‘Restless’ out in the world.” Known for their critically-acclaimed live shows, the band is currently on the summer festival circuit performing at The Forecastle Festival in Louisville, Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, The Moon River Music Festival in Chattanooga, and more. Check out their upcoming show schedule HERE. Moon Taxi released their 5th studio album and first for RCA entitled Let The Record Play, last year, featuring their breakthrough single “Two High.” “Two High” propelled the band to new heights, with over 121 million streams on Spotify to date, surpassing 3 million video views (lyric + official), enjoying heavy rotation play on multiple SiriusXM stations, topping the AAA radio chart #1 and charting Top 10 at Alternative Radio.

ta1300 album download TA13OO. Purchase and download this album in a wide variety of formats depending on your needs. Buy the album Starting at $12.99. A former member of SpaceGhostPurrp's Raider Klan , Denzel Curry is one of the precursors of the new generation of electro coming out of Florida. Now joined by such wild men as Smokepurrp, Ski Mask Da Slump God or the late XXXTentacion, Denzel has created a complex mix, which has been much-covered by his peers. To sum it up, his music is a mixture of very technical rap in the tradition of Memphis and the Three 6 Mafia and a rather more elevated psychedelic tendency taken from Outkast and the Dungeon Family. A pure product of the SoundCloud generation, he made waves with Nostalgic 64 (2013) and then Imperial (2016). At the age of just 23, Denzel Curry shows a disarming maturity and an unflagging versatility on TA13oo , his most ambitious album to date. TA13OO. The South Florida rapper carves out his own lane within the genre known as SoundCloud rap, displaying considerable versatility as he channels the pain and confusion of youth. Featured Tracks: In the chaotic arena that is SoundCloud rap, Denzel Curry has etched out his own distinct realm. Presumably he doesn’t mind being tagged as a SoundCloud rapper, as murky and hard to define as that term is. It was just in May that Curry went to the mattresses to uphold his version of the genre’s history, using Twitter and interviews to torpedo Smokepurpp’s claim to have fathered the movement.

Visual Metaphors on Album Covers: An Analysis into Graphic Design’s Effectiveness at Conveying Music Genres by Vivian Le A THESIS submitted to Oregon State University Honors College in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Honors Baccalaureate of Science in Accounting and Business Information Systems (Honors Scholar) Presented May 29, 2020 Commencement June 2020 AN ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS OF Vivian Le for the degree of Honors Baccalaureate of Science in Accounting and Business Information Systems presented on May 29, 2020. Title: Visual Metaphors on Album Covers: An Analysis into Graphic Design’s Effectiveness at Conveying Music Genres. Abstract approved:_____________________________________________________ Ryann Reynolds-McIlnay The rise of digital streaming has largely impacted the way the average listener consumes music. Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time.

The decision, made by second-year Superintendent Barb Dill-Varga, came as a shock to CHS faculty. Lopez has requested reassignment within the school district. Though Lopez says he could not provide staff with an ex- planation for why his position at the high school was terminated, Dill-Varga cites the reason for Lopez’s removal from his position as a need for a “fresh perspective” at CHS, which she hopes to take in a “new direction.” “The District is grateful to Mr. Lopez for the hard work he has done to help CHS attain many achievements over the past 10 years,” Dill-Varga wrote in a media release sent out Jan. 25. The statement announced the district’s search for a new principal, set photo by PETER ELLISON to begin in early February and conclude in April. statik selektah trillstatik deluxe version zip download Bun B & Statik Selektah :: TrillStatik. Upon first receiving word of the collaborative album “TrillStatik” between Bun B and Statik Selektah via Show Off/EMPIRE, I immediately noticed there was some online clamor about the purported mismatching of the pair. Basically, these people were skeptical about a southern rapper from Houston over some traditionally sounding east coast beats. However, their skepticism told me one thing: That they hadn’t listened to the catalogues of either artist. Had they done so, then they’d also know how both of their careers have intersected several times. Bun’s been a guest on most of the Massachusetts native’s compilation albums for more than a decade now. Additionally, he’s previously shared mic duties with east coast wordsmiths such as Jay-Z and Apathy. Their official full-length collaboration takes their merger beyond just the album name and cover (which combines Texas with New York and Massachusetts). It takes it to an atmosphere that is enough to satisfy most die-hard hip-hop fans. The first track, “Moving Mountains”, drops the heavy load to shut down everyone who viewed their collaboration with cynicism. Bun is unmistakably southern, but has a proven versatility that allows his forceful voice and flow to ride Statik’s boom-bap fashioned beats with very little difficulty, if any. “Still Trill” has a playfulness to its bass line which reminds me of “Put Up of Shut Up” by Gang Starr. Furthermore, I don’t think it’s mere coincidence that guest rapper Method Man shouts out Premier and Guru in the opening lines for his verse.
