Bryce Evans, Priest-in-Residence Jadwiga (or Hedwig) was one of eight children born into a family—a royal family indeed, but an ordinary family nonetheless. She was Duchess of Rev. Mr. John Belian, Deacon (Sabbatical) Silesia, a region in the west of Poland which was enriched through contact [email protected] with German customs, language and culture. She and her husband Henry Director of Operations brought seven children into the world. When numerous Polish immigrant families moved north along the PARISH DIRECTORY Mississippi, they ventured out in faith to establish a new parish with the HOLY CROSS CAMPUS blessing of Archbishop John Ireland. St. Hedwig of Silesia, this remarkable woman was chosen to be a heavenly intercessor. It is amazing to think of the way that our ancestors in faith shared (for a time) the same four walls in which they encountered God!
