Before arriving at the Dule Temple. I’d like to give you a brief introduction of this great temple. The Temple was first built in Tang Dynasty, about 1200 years ago and rebuilt in the . Legend has it that when Au lushan , a Tang Dynasty general, Rebelled against the emperor at that time. he held a rally at the temple before going to war , and gave the Temple its name Dule Temple because he wanted happiness exclusively for himself. This temple also was called Great Buddha Temple, is one of the oldest and best-preserved tall wooden structure in china. This two-storied wooden pavilion is 23meters high, and so well designed that it has with can stood the test of several earthquakes and remains in tact to this day. The 16-meter high statue in it is one of the biggest clays. Sculptures in china .Enjoying high reputation for its value in history and science, it was designated as a protected historical relic in 1961. Now let’s go to see the main structure of Dule Temple, Guanyin Pavilion. Ok this is Guanyin Pavilion. With a height of 23 meters it is the oldest wooden structure building in china. Magnificently and rationally laid out., it is really an architectural masterpiece .It seems to us that it only has two stories ,but actually it’s three Between the top and bottom ever there is another story formed by hanging eave and flat balustrades, it gives the Hall the appearance of having only two stories. The sole purpose of this style of constraction was to protect the Guangyin statue inside In (in) old days. This tone was destroyed many times, each time when there was a war, the town people rushed to protect. the Dule Temple, rather than remaining to safeguard their own homes. That is how the temple managed to escape destruction. And now the statues have survived to this day. Ok ladies and genthemen .we are now inside the pavilion .In front of us is the famous “Eleven- Guanyin” one of the largest painted clays sculptures in china , You see there are ten small heads to the top of the statue’s head, that’s why it’s called 11 faced Guanyin . Guanyin has the power to transform various types of disasters.There only one such guanyin sculpture in china just lays here. Now, after seeing the 11-face sculptures. Let’s look at these mural paintings they are portraits of 16arhats and (Good of the state). They have eves three heads six arms and glaring eyes .Although the exact date of the murals is uncertain Just know from the inscription Dules writien on them that they are ancient murals painted during the Ming Dynesty 600 years So our Dule Temple gathers together in one place.
