The fees are the monies paid for using rights of way to provide service. Under the new definition, in-kind contributions would include things such as unlimited free or discounted cable services for Local Franchise Authorities (LFAs) . Thus those contributions would be subject to the statutory 5% franchise fee cap. While cable’s an obvious fan of the move, franchises, wary of losing money or services, aren’t. “The Commission’s proposals violate the plain language of the statute which authorizes LFAs to both collect franchise fees and to impose franchise requirements on cable operators,” said a joint filing from a number of players, including the cities of Atlanta, Dallas and Boston. Public access channels are concerned that the proposal deems non-capital Public, Educational & Governmental requirements as franchise fees. “Such an action would deci- mate our ability to provide services to our community,” said PhillyCAM, the nonprofit that operates the City of Phila- delphia’s public access TV. The FCC’s Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which makes these tentative conclusions, was adopted 4-0 in September. It addresses issues raised in July after the US Sixth Circuit vacated parts of FCC decisions that had limited the ability of LFAs to regulate non-cable services provided over a mixed use cable system and nixed LFAs imposing non-monetary assessments on cable ops.

Muestra clara de ello lo constituyen las Preces que representan, si no una novedad, sí, al menos, un elemento sustancialmente reinstaurado al que hasta hoy se le ha prestado escasa atención. De hecho, siendo una producción eucológica tan vasta —abarca más de 200 formula- rios que abrazan 1.300 fórmulas—, tras una indagación bibliográfica lo más exhaustiva posible en varias lenguas, hemos encontrado cinco artículos —todos ellos extranjeros— relativamente generales, breves, descriptivos y ninguna obra completa dedicada a su estudio porme- norizado y abarcante de todas sus dimensiones, tales como la historia, la teología, la espiritualidad, la pastoral e incluso un análisis filológico de los textos. Por lo que se refiere a la teología sistemática, echamos en falta un estudio de tipo contenutístico de las Preces, laguna que noso- tros intentamos ahora rellenar mediante el análisis de la pneumatolo- gía y eclesiología contenida en los formularios del tiempo de Pascua.

The process will only allow a carrier to hold operating authority without insurance reflected on our Licensing and Insurance database for up to three (3) days. Revocation decisions will be tied to our enforcement program which will focus on the operations of uninsured carriers. This process will further ensure that the public is adequately protected in case of a motor carrier crash. Accordingly, we are adopting the following procedure for revocation of authority; 1) The first notice will go out three (3) days after FMCSA receives notification from the insurance company that the carrier's policy will be cancelled in 30 days. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Bellum Entertainment is known for producing other award-winning shows that include Corrupt Crimes, Animals Unleashed, Justice Served: Murderous Affairs, Fix It & Finish It, and many others. Great Escapes has been acquired by Sky Vision, the international distribution division of SKY, and is being distributed domestically by Bellum’s dedicated sales team.     18 May 2020 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Dear Brothers and Sisters in Saint Benedict and Saint Scholastica, Here we stand in the midst of the Easter season. In the Gospel we recently heard at the Eucharist, Jesus tells his disciples in the Last Supper Discourse that he bestows upon them a peace that is not like any other. “Peace, I leave with you; my peace I bestow upon you. Not as the world gives it, do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid” (Jn 14:27). The Easter peace which Jesus gives is not a freedom from anxiety, but a freedom to live amid anxious time with faith in God’s presence, and trust in ways that will open up a manner to face and live into the future. That is a great encouragement to us in this moment of anxiety and insecurity. These words of Jesus are true sources of inspiration and support to us. Despite the fears and worries, there is something quietly stirring in the hearts of believers; the Holy Spirit within us guides us in ways that are so simple and good, so touching and transforming. It is a “peace” that is subtle and quiet, humble and gracious, wise, noble, and advantageous. This is the mysterious Easter peace that Christ left to us, his Benedictine disciples, and to all who follow the Gospel message. How easy it is to name the challenges that have come our way with this pandemic: fear for the present moment, unexpected death, uncertainty about the future, living with an invisible enemy, financial pressures, distance from loved ones, praying in unfamiliar ways, and many more challenges.
