PRESS RELEASE MIES, 19/08/2021 FOR MORE INFORMATION: ISABELLE LARIVIÈRE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER [email protected] TEL +41 22 950 95 68 FIM Grand Prix World Championship 2021 calendar, UPDATE 19 August Malaysian GP cancelled and replaced by a Grand Prix at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the cancellation of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, which was set to take place at Sepang International Circuit from the 22nd to the 24th of October. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting entry restrictions for Malaysia oblige the cancellation of the event. The FIM MotoGP™ World Championship looks forward to returning to Sepang in 2022 to race in front of our dedicated Malaysian fans. The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports are pleased to confirm that MotoGP™ will return to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from the 22nd to the 24th of October, the weekend previously scheduled for the Malaysian GP, for a second Grand Prix at the classic Italian track. The name of this event will be announced in due course. “I scored my second win of the season!” Alex Lynn – GP2 Hockenheim preview London, July 27, 2016. After the tough time we’ve had lately in the GP2 Series, a good result was exactly what was needed to send us into the summer break in high spirits. It turned out even better than that at Hockenheim – I scored my second win of the season! The guys at DAMS have worked so hard, and as soon as I hit the track at Hockenheim I knew we were carrying on the progress from the previous weekend in Hungary. Right from the word go in free practice I had a good feeling with the car, and we were third fastest on merit, very close to the top. We were just carrying on the theme from Hungary in how we were changing the car, and I felt strong on long runs as well so that was good. Into qualifying I was positive and looking forward to seeing how the car would react, and it was a big improvement again. In the end I qualified fifth and that’s a shame, because traffic hampered us and I really believe I could have been on pole. I was really confident with the car and it was giving me a good feeling for the first time in quite a while. We went for the prime tyre at the start of the feature race, and I had an early battle with Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato. I’d jumped Ollie off the line when he got held up by Pierre Gasly’s bad start, but then I got boxed in at Turn 2 and Ollie got me. -

Initially tested in-house in laboratory conditions, the latest MICHELIN Power Slick rear tyre was then extensively assessed by the MotoGP field throughout 2019, before Michelin was granted the unique opportunity to analyse the new construction during a race weekend - the first time a test such as this had been conducted during a MotoGP weekend - when a session at the demanding Phillip Island circuit in Australia was totally dedicated to a tyre test. Michelin then supplied the tyre for further examination during the two Spanish tests at the end of 2019, at Valencia and Jerez respectively. -

PR Document 2020 Japanese Super Formula Championship Series Media Information August 27 2020 1 Super Formula : Then and Now In the 1950s, the Fédération Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) launched the Drivers’ Championship to find the world’s fastest formula car drivers the purest form of racing machine. That ethos was passed on to all FIA national member organizations.Top-level formula motor racing has been held in Japan in various forms since 1973, when Formula 2000 was first launched. The competition evolved into Formula Two in 1978 and then Formula 3000 in 1987. Japan Race Promotion, Inc. (JRP) was established in 1995 and continued carrying the competition torch in 1996 under the name of Formula Nippon. In 2013, the name of the competition was changed again to Japanese Championship Super Formula and a bold plan was implemented to upgrade the race cars and lift the profile of the competition with the clear aim of spreading the appeal of Super Formula from Japan to other parts of Asia. Another hope was to turn the series into a third great open-wheel racing competition to go along with Formula One and IndyCar. The competition’s name was changed again in 2016 to Japanese Super Formula Championship. In 2017, BS Fuji began broadcasting live Super Formula races, giving many motorsport fans the chance to watch championship races on free-to-air television. In the early days, formula racing in Japan was led by top drivers such as Kunimitsu Takahashi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Satoru Nakajima, who later competed on the global stage in Formula One. -
