What originally began as a boys only tournament was 2 Tournament Schedule later expanded to feature girls in 1981 and the event has flourished since. The host Farmington boys bas- 3 Tournament Brackets ketball team boasts the most championships in tournament history with 18, but the Tigers are in search of 4 Girls Rosters their first title since 2013. On the girls side, the Tigers once again hold the mark for most tourney titles with 5 Girls Tournament Records eight, but the neighboring Nute Rams have captured seven crowns of their own, including three straight. 6 Girls All-Tournament Teams The host Tigers are looking for their first girls title since 2009. 8 Boys Rosters IT’S ALL IN THE NAME 10 Boys Tournament Records In 1979, Farmington boys basketball head coach Mike Lee, who also served as the high school athletic 11 Boys All-Tournament Teams director, was instrumental in starting this very tournament. The economic impact of the COVID-19 health crisis on the hotel industry is estimated to be nine times greater than the September 11th terrorist attacks. According to Oxford Economics, nearly 4 million hotel employees have been furloughed and the industry is expected to lose nearly fifty percent of its total revenue in 2020 – which could exceed $112 Billion. From the beginning of this health and economic crisis, we have been focused on two main objectives: first, supporting and retaining hotel employees as demand has diminished; and second, saving the U.S. network of local hotels, the majority of which are small businesses. The hotel industry relies on a dedicated and talented hospitality workforce and is hopeful that we can restart the economy so that we can restore these critical jobs. However, if hotels across this country are insolvent and default on their loan obligations, then we will not be successful in retaining hotel employees. Hotel employees and local hotel owners have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through no fault of their own.

With the inception of our Connect 2 College concurrent credit scholarship, we were able to help over 180 students who worked hard in high school by completing classes for both high school and college credit. These students were awarded $600 scholarships for their efforts. This scholarship can be used in conjunction with other Foundation awards, which helps our students make their hard-earned dollars go further. The Foundation has developed the Just in Time grant and Veterans Serving Veterans fund to help students already enrolled with the college. The Just in Time grant is awarded to students who have obstacles preventing them from succeeding in school. These obstacles can vary from a flat tire to child care issues. The Foundation feels it is important to help eliminate barriers that may prevent our students from focusing on their education. The Just in Time grant helps to alleviate some of the everyday obstacles our students may face. The Veterans Serving Veterans fund is similar in that it helps our students overcome everyday obstacles, but this fund was started by Veterans to support student Veterans. The Indian Hills Foundation will continue to develop methods to ensure our scholarship opportunities are meeting the needs of our students.

    1 What Can The Righteous Do If The Foundations Are Destroyed? Psalm 11:3 There is little room for doubt that this past year has been a season of difficulty for Wayside Cross Ministries, the people we serve, and friends like you whom God has chosen to help support our work. Even the Collins English Dictionary tells us, “lockdown” has become the word of the year in 2020 worldwide. Throughout human history people lived in uncertain times, and yet, looking back on the James Lukose, year 2020, God was using the year paradoxically for us to see clearly that He was in absolute Executive Director control. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10a) Without question, there was uncertainty in the pandemic; riots, looting, job loss, and the confusion over the recent election, but in all that uncertainty we were reminded again and again what is certain: knowing that we can trust God alone all the time. Psalm 11:3 confronts us with the spiritual dilemma, “What can the righteous do if the foundations are destroyed?” When we think about it, even the righteous cannot do anything. One way or the other, we all felt helpless because it seems like the foundation of the moral fabric of our country was being destroyed. According to Matthew 16:18, we can stand on the assurance that our foundation will not be destroyed. “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Why? Paul answers that question in Ephesians 2:19-21. “Because it is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself, being the cornerstone.” As believers, though we walked through this trying season, His providence, special grace, and the support of loyal friends like you kept the flag of Wayside Cross Ministries flying high.
