Page 2 of 46 Lanie Farrelly (Bornman) I dedicate this Volume to Lanie Farrelly (Bornman). I have never met this this lady but I absolutely admire her for the love she has for the Bornman family and the hardwork she has put into her website, www.bornman.org promoting this wonderful noble family. Thank you so much. Lanie Farrelly (Bornman) Page 3 of 46 The Bornman Coat of Arms THE PURPOSE OF A COAT OF ARMS 1. Illustrate the characteristics of the ancestry. 2. To serve as a family bond. 3. Emphasize the status of the ancestor. 4. To indicate the official position of the ancestor. 5. To represent Faith Confidence. 6. To prove protective love to one's neighbor. 7. To cause justice and justice to prevail. 8. Call for this generation to stand together. Source: Quarta Pretorius, Els familie nageslag van Cornelis Wilhelmus Els translated Page 4 of 46 Introduction Before you start making a study of the family register of Meinderd Jacobus Bornman, I suggest you first read the article of Lanie Farrelly (Bornman) on her website http://www.bornman.org. so that you may know where our noble family Bornman comes from. I would like to thank Lanie Farrelly for the wonderful work she had done on the Bornman family and allowing me to publish Volume 10 of Meyndert Jacobus Bornman, 1825-1896, on her website. To view the different source documents it will be necessary for you to open a free account with https://www.familysearch.org/ The complete Bornman family register is also available on this website. This family register is not without its mistakes. If you do find any mistakes please let me know, and if you do have any source documents to prove your point, even better. Any labled photos or documents are very welcome. Remember it is not my Family Register, it belongs to all of us that can proudly call ourselves Bornman’s. You can Whatsapp me at 0826064570 or Email: [email protected] The other volumes will follow as I complete them. It may take a while because, as you can see it takes a lot of time and effort to create one Volume. Any help, source documents, comments, etc are very welcome. Help on the number of Johan Christiaan Bornman’s and Schalk Jacobus Bornman’s will be helpful. Just because of the sheer number of these decendants it makes researching very difficult and confusing. If you are a latter day Bornman, please send us your information so that me may add you and your family. It will only take 5 minutes of your time. All I need it your full names, as well as that of your spouse and original surname, Where you were born Date of marriage All your siblings, full names, date of birth and where born. Free State Province Biodiversity Plan: Technical Report v1.0. Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs. Internal Report. 1. Summary $what is a biodiversity plan This report contains the technical information that details the rationale and methods followed to produce the first terrestrial biodiversity plan for the Free State Province. Because of low confidence in the aquatic data that were available at the time of developing the plan, the aquatic component is not included herein and will be released as a separate report. The biodiversity plan was developed with cognisance of the requirements for the determination of bioregions and the preparation and publication of bioregional plans (DEAT, 2009). To this extent the two main products of this process are: • A map indicating the different terrestrial categories (Protected, Critical Biodiversity Areas, Ecological Support Areas, Other and Degraded) • Land-use guidelines for the above mentioned categories This plan represents the first attempt at collating all terrestrial biodiversity and ecological data into a single system from which it can be interrogated and assessed.

Maimane PhD Thesis, School of Arts, University of KwaZulu-Natal From an intertextual perspective, this study analyses the lithoko, religious beliefs and practices and western poetry confluences in modern Sesotho poetry. In this analysis, modern Sesotho poetry texts covering a period of seventy-nine years (79) from 1931 to 2010 have been selected. Of the utmost importance in the analysis are the intertextual manifestations in modern Sesotho poetry. These include the lithoko oral- formulaic style in modern Sesotho poetry which focuses on form, structure and content. The study also looks into echoes of texts indicative of religious beliefs and practices (both local and foreign) in modern Sesotho poetry, the host-parasite relationship between Western poetry and modern Sesotho poetry, the emerging trends and the evaluation of modern Sesotho poetry in relation to its poeticness or literariness.
