And that requires a workforce, leadership team and board of directors as diverse and inclusive as the customers and communities it serves. We take this very seriously at AT&T. We know that a diversity of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds is an incredibly powerful way to unlock new ideas and better understand the needs of others. That’s why we work so hard to recruit, develop and listen to diverse talent. Today, our workforce is nearly 44 percent people of color and 33 percent women. And our employee resource groups and employee networks are among the most engaged and effective anywhere. We’re proud that our diversity and inclusion efforts have been recognized. DiversityInc ranked us third on its Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2017 and 2018. Last year, Fortune and the Great Place to Work® organization together named us one of the Best Workplaces for Diversity. And we also were named to Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index. This edition highlights our many 2018 accomplishments, and more importantly, how diversity and inclusion are woven into our everyday life across AT&T. You see it everywhere – informally through our programs that invite employees to share their diverse backgrounds with each other, formally through our many partnerships to encourage underserved students into STEM careers, and continuously through our best-in-class employee groups as they serve our workforce and communities. Our diverse and inclusive culture grows stronger each year because we embrace new ideas, encourage innovation, challenge assumptions and disrupt the status quo. The fees are the monies paid for using rights of way to provide service. Under the new definition, in-kind contributions would include things such as unlimited free or discounted cable services for Local Franchise Authorities (LFAs) . Thus those contributions would be subject to the statutory 5% franchise fee cap. While cable’s an obvious fan of the move, franchises, wary of losing money or services, aren’t. “The Commission’s proposals violate the plain language of the statute which authorizes LFAs to both collect franchise fees and to impose franchise requirements on cable operators,” said a joint filing from a number of players, including the cities of Atlanta, Dallas and Boston. Public access channels are concerned that the proposal deems non-capital Public, Educational & Governmental requirements as franchise fees. “Such an action would deci- mate our ability to provide services to our community,” said PhillyCAM, the nonprofit that operates the City of Phila- delphia’s public access TV. African American women have consistently resisted, challenged, submitted to, and remixed racial myths and sexual stereotypes existing in American cinema and television programming. Mainstream film and television practices significantly contribute to the reinforcement of old stereotypes in contemporary black women characters. However, based on the efforts of African American producers like Shonda Rhimes, who has attempted to insert more realistic renderings of African American women in her recent television shows, black women’s representation is undergoing yet another shift in contemporary media.

This study develops a model of ironist feminism to approach limitations of hegemonic language for women and minorities in U.S. public discourse. The model is built upon irony as a mode of perspective, and as a function in language, to ferret out and address political norms in dominant language. Named after AT&T founder Alexander Graham Bell, Xandr will house all of the telco giant’s data-led offerings, including addressable advertising service AT&T AdWorks, analytics business ATT.net and ad-tech unit AppNexus. Xandr is rebrand of AT&T’s AdCo unit, which was a temporary business until AT&T’s advertising plan had solidified. Revenue for the advertising business (AdCo) grew 16% year-on-year to $1.8 billion in Q2 2018. The announcement follows in the aftermath of its approved Warner Media acquisition. Our analysis AT&T is settling into a strong position in the ad market as it seeks to challenge the Google-Facebook duopoly for market share. In the aftermath of its landmark acquisition of Warner Media, the group now has three key components in place; access and distribution through AT&T, premium content through Warner Media created by the likes of HBO and CNN and ad monetization through AppNexus. On the back of AppNexus acquisition, AT&T has now decided it is an appropriate time to rebrand its AdCo advertising company, and build its brand in the ad ecosystem.
