First Portion Numbers Chapter 4

כא ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses saying .21

כב ָנ ֗שׂא ֶאת ֛־ר ֹאשׁ ְבֵּ ֥ני ֵ ֽג ְ ר ֖שׁוֹן ַגּ ֵ ֑ם־הם ְל ֵ ֥בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֖תם ,Take a census of the sons of Gershon, of them too .22

ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֽחֹתם: .following their fathers' houses, according to their families

כג ִמ ֶבּ֩ן ְשׁ ִ֨לשׁים ָשׁ ָ֜נה ָו ַ֗מ ְﬠ ָלה ַ ֛ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ֥שּׁים ָשָׁ ֖נה From the age of thirty years and upward, until the age of .23 ִתּ ְפ ֣קֹד ָ ֑אוֹתם ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ֨א ִל ְצ ֣ב ֹא ָצ ָ֔בא ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֥בֹד ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ,fifty years you shall count them, all who come to join the legion ְבּ ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: .to perform service in the Tent of Meeting

כד ֣ז ֹאת ֲﬠבַֹ֔דת ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֖חֹת ַהֵ ֽגּ ְ ר ֻשִׁ ֑נּי ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֖בֹד ְוּל ַמ ָ ֽשּׂא: This is the service of the Gershonite families to serve and .24 to carry.

כה ְו ָ֨נ ְשׂ ֜אוּ ֶאת־ ְיִר ֤יﬠֹת ַה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ ֙כּן ְו ֶאת ֣ ֹ־א ֶהל ֵ֔מוֹﬠד They shall carry the curtains of the Mishkan and the Tent .25 ִמ ְכ ֵ֕סהוּ וּ ִמ ְכ ֵ ֛סה ַה ַ ֥תּ ַחשׁ ֲא ֶשׁר־ ָﬠ ָ ֖ליו ִמ ְל ָ ֑מ ְﬠ ָלה of Meeting, its covering and the tachash skin covering overlaid ְו ֶ֨את ָ־מ ַ֔ס ֶ ֖פּ ַתח ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: .upon it, and the screen for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting

כו ְו ֵא ֩ת ַק ְל ֵ֨ﬠי ֶ ֽה ָח ֵ֜צר ְו ֶאת ָ־מ ַ ֣ס | ֶ ֣פּ ַתח | ַ ֣שׁ ַﬠר The hangings of the courtyard, the screen at the entrance .26 ֶ ֽה ָח ֵ֗צר ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ַﬠ ַל־ה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ ֤כּן ְו ַﬠ ַל־ה ִמְּז ֵ֨בַּ ֙ ָס ִ֔ביב ְו ֵא ֨ת of the gate of the courtyard which is around the Mishkan and

ֵ ֽמי ְתֵר ֶ֔יהם ְו ֶאת ָ־כּ ְל־כּ ֵ ֖לי ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֑תם ְו ֵ֨את ָכּ ֲל־א ֶ ֧שׁר the altar, their ropes, all the work involved, and everything that is made for them, and thus shall they serve. ֵ ֽי ָﬠ ֶ ֛שׂה ָל ֶ ֖הם ְו ָﬠ ָ ֽבדוּ:

כז ַﬠ ֩ ִל־פּי ַ ֽא ֲה ֨רֹן וּ ָב ָ֜ניו ִֽתּ ְהֶ֗יה ָכּל־ ֲﬠבַֹד ֙ת ְבֵּ ֣ני All the service of the sons of Gershon shall be by the .27 instruction of Aaron and his sons, regarding all their burden ַהֵ ֽגּ ְ ר ֻשׁ ִ֔נּי ְל ָ֨כ ַל־מ ָשּׂ ָ֔אם ְוּל ֖כֹל ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֑תם וּ ְפ ַק ְד ֶ ֤תּם ֲﬠ ֵל ֶה ֙ם ְבּ ִמ ְשׁ ֶ֔מֶרת ֵ ֖את ָכּ ַל־מ ָשּׂ ָ ֽאם: and all their service. You shall designate their entire burden as their charge. כח ֣ז ֹאת ֲﬠבַֹ֗דת ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֛חֹת ְבֵּ ֥ני ַהֵ ֽגּ ְ ר ֻשִׁ ֖נּי ְבּ ֣ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in .28 וּ ִ֨מ ְשׁ ַמְר ָ֔תּם ְבַּי ֙ד ִֽאי ָת ָ֔מר ֶבּ ַ ֽן־א ֲה ֖רֹן ַהכֹּ ֵ ֽהן: the Tent of Meeting, and their charge, which was under the supervision of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the kohen.

Second Portion Numbers Chapter 4 כט ְבֵּ ֖ני ְמָרִ ֑רי ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֥חֹתם ְל ֵבית ֲ־אבֹ ָ ֖תם ִתּ ְפ ֥קֹד As for] the sons of Merari, you shall count them by their] .29

ֹא ָ ֽתם: .families, according to their fathers' houses

ל ִמ ֶבּ֩ן ְשׁ ִ֨לשׁים ָשׁ ָ֜נה ָו ַ֗מ ְﬠ ָלה ְו ַ ֛ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ֥שּׁים ָשָׁ ֖נה From the age of thirty years and upward until the age of .30 ִתּ ְפ ְק ֵ ֑דם ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ֙א ַל ָצּ ָ֔בא ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֕בֹד ֶאת־ ֲﬠבַֹ ֖דת ֥ ֹא ֶהל fifty years, you shall count them, all who come to the legion, to ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: .perform service in the Tent of Meeting

לא ְוז ֹ ֙את ִמ ְשׁ ֶ ֣מֶרת ַמ ָשּׂ ָ֔אם ְל ָכל־ ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֖תם ְבּ ֣ ֹא ֶהל This is the charge of their burden for all their service in the .31 ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד ַקְר ֵ ֙שׁי ַה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ֔כּן וּ ְבִר ָ ֖יחיו ְו ַﬠ ָ ֥מּוּדיו ַ ֽו ֲא ָדָ ֽניו: ,Tent of Meeting: the planks of the Mishkan, its bars, its pillars and its sockets.

לב ְו ַﬠ ֵמּוּד֩י ֶ ֽה ָח ֵ֨צר ָס ִ֜ביב ְו ַא ְד ֵנ ֶ֗יהם ִוי ֵ ֽתדֹ ָת ֙ם ,The pillars of the surrounding courtyard, their sockets .32 their pegs, and their ropes, all their implements for all the work וּ ֵ ֣מי ְתֵר ֶ֔יהם ְל ָ֨כ ְל־כּ ֵל ֶ֔יהם ְוּל ֖כֹל ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֑תם וּ ְב ֵשׁ ֣ ֹמת ִתּ ְפ ְק ֔דוּ ֶאת ְ־כּ ֵ ֖לי ִמ ְשׁ ֶ ֥מֶרת ַמ ָשּׂ ָ ֽאם: involved. You shall designate by name the implements charged to them for their burden.

לג ֣ז ֹאת ֲﬠבַֹ֗דת ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֙חֹת ְבֵּ ֣ני ְמָרִ ֔רי ְל ָכל־ ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֖תם This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari for .33 ְבּ ֣ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד ְבַּי ֙ד ִֽאי ָת ָ֔מר ֶ ֽבּ ַ ֽן־א ֲה ֖רֹן ַהכֹּ ֵ ֽהן: all their service in the Tent of Meeting, which was under the supervision of Ithamar the son of Aaron the kohen.

לד ַו ִיּ ְפ ֨קֹד מ ֶ ֧שׁה ְו ַ ֽא ֲה ֛רֹן ְוּנ ִשׂ ֵ ֥יאי ָ ֽה ֵﬠ ָ ֖דה ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֣ני Moses, Aaron, and the chieftains of the congregation .34 ַה ְקּ ָה ִ ֑תי ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֖חֹתם ְוּל ֵ ֥בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֽתם: counted the sons of the Kohathites, according to their families and their fathers' houses.

לה ִמ ֶ֨בּן ְשׁ ִ ֤לשׁים ָשׁ ָנ ֙ה ָו ַ֔מ ְﬠ ָלה ְו ַ ֖ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ ֣שּׁים From the age of thirty years and upward, until the age of .35 ָשָׁ ֑נה ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ֙א ַל ָצּ ָ֔בא ַ ֽל ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ְבּ ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: fifty years, all who come to the legion, for service in the Tent of Meeting.

לו ַוִֽיּ ְה֥יוּ ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֖יהם ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֑חֹתם ַא ְל ַ֕פִּים ְשׁ ַ ֥בע ֵמ ֖אוֹת Their tally, according to their families: two thousand, seven .36

ַ ֽו ֲח ִמ ִֽשּׁים: .hundred and fifty

לז ֵ ֤א ֶלּה ְפ ֵקוּד֙י ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֣חֹת ַה ְקּ ָה ִ֔תי ָכּ ָ ֽל־העֹ ֵ ֖בד ְבּ ֣ ֹא ֶהל These are the numbers of the Kohathite families, all who .37 ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ָפַּ ֤ קד מ ֶשׁ ֙ה ְו ַ ֽא ֲה ֔רֹן ַﬠ ִ֥ל־פּי ְי ָ ֖הוֹה served in the Tent of Meeting, who were counted by Moses and ְבַּיד־מ ֶ ֽשׁה: .Aaron as directed by the Lord to Moses

לח וּ ְפ ֵ ֖קוּדי ְבֵּ ֣ני ֵ ֽג ְ ר ֑שׁוֹן ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֖חוֹתם ְוּל ֵ ֥בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֽתם: The tally of the sons of Gershon, according to their .38 families and their fathers' houses.

לט ִמ ֶ֨בּן ְשׁ ִ ֤לשׁים ָשׁ ָנ ֙ה ָו ַ֔מ ְﬠ ָלה ְו ַ ֖ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ ֣שּׁים From the age of thirty years and upward, until the age of .39 ָשָׁ ֑נה ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ֙א ַל ָצּ ָ֔בא ַ ֽל ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ְבּ ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: fifty years, all who come to the legion, forservice in the Tent of Meeting.

מ ַוִֽיּ ְה ֙יוּ ְפֻּ ֣ ק ֵד ֶ֔יהם ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֖חֹתם ְל ֵ ֣בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֑תם ַא ְל ַ֕פִּים 'Their total, according to their families and their fathers .40

ְו ֵ ֥שׁשׁ ֵמ ֖אוֹת ְוּשׁ ִֽלשׁים: .houses: two thousand, six hundred and thirty

מא ֵ ֣א ֶלּה ְפ ֵ֗קוּדי ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֙חֹת ְבֵּ ֣ני ֵ ֽג ְ ר ֔שׁוֹן ָכּ ָ ֽל־העֹ ֵ ֖בד These are the numbers of the families of the sons of .41 ְבּ ֣ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ָפַּ ֥ קד מ ֶ ֛שׁה ְו ַ ֽא ֲה ֖רֹן ַﬠ ִ֥ל־פּי ְי ָ ֽהוֹה: Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted as directed by the Lord.

מב וּ ְפ ֵ֕קוּדי ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֖חֹת ְבֵּ ֣ני ְמָרִ ֑רי ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֖חֹתם ְל ֵ ֥בית The tally of the families of the sons of Merari, according to .42

ֲאבֹ ָ ֽתם: .their families and their fathers' houses

מג ִמ ֶ֨בּן ְשׁ ִ ֤לשׁים ָשׁ ָנ ֙ה ָו ַ֔מ ְﬠ ָלה ְו ַ ֖ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ ֣שּׁים ָשָׁ ֑נה From the age of thirty years and upward, until the age of .43 ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ֙א ַל ָצּ ָ֔בא ַ ֽל ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ְבּ ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: fifty years, all who come to the legion, for work in the Tent of Meeting.

מד ַו ִיּ ְה֥יוּ ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֖יהם ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֑חֹתם ְשׁ ֥ל ֶשׁת ֲא ָל ִ ֖פים Their tally, according to their families: three thousand two .44

וּ ָמ ָ ֽאתִים: .hundred

מה ֵ ֣א ֶלּה ְפ ֵ֔קוּדי ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֖חֹת ְבֵּ ֣ני ְמָרִ ֑רי ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ָפַּ ֤ קד These are the numbers of the families of the sons of .45 מ ֶשׁ ֙ה ְו ַ ֽא ֲה ֔רֹן ַﬠ ִ֥ל־פּי ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ְבַּיד־מ ֶ ֽשׁה: Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted as directed by the Lord to Moses.

מו ָכּ ַל־ה ְפּ ֻק ִ֡דים ֲא ֶשׁ ֩ר ָפּ ַ֨קד מ ֶ ֧שׁה ְו ַ ֽא ֲה ֛רֹן ְוּנ ִשׂ ֵ ֥יאי All the numbers whom by Moses, Aaron, and the .46 ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֖אל ֶאת ַ ֽ־ה ְלִוִ ֑יּם ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֖חֹתם ְוּל ֵ ֥בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֽתם: chieftains of Israel counted the Levites according to their families and their fathers' houses,

מז ִמ ֶ֨בּן ְשׁ ִ ֤לשׁים ָשׁ ָנ ֙ה ָו ַ֔מ ְﬠ ָלה ְו ַ ֖ﬠד ֶבּ ֲן־ח ִמ ִ ֣שּׁים ָשָׁ ֑נה from the age of thirty years and upward until the age of .47 ָכּ ַל־ה ָ֗בּא ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֨בֹד ֲﬠבַֹ ֧דת ֲﬠבָֹ ֛דה ַ ֽו ֲﬠבַֹ ֥דת ַמ ָ ֖שּׂא ְבּ ֥ ֹא ֶהל fifty years, who are fit to perform the service for the service and ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: .the work of carrying, in the Tent of Meeting

מח ַוִֽיּ ְה֖יוּ ְפֻּ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ְשׁ ֹמַ ֣נת ֲא ָל ִ֔פים ַ ֽו ֲח ֵ ֥משׁ ֵמ ֖אוֹת .Their tally: eight thousand, five hundred and eighty .48

ְוּשׁ ֹמִֽנים:

מט ַﬠ ִ֨ל־פּי ְי ָ ֜הוֹה ָפַּ ֤ קד ָאוֹת ֙ם ְבַּיד־מ ֶ֔שׁה ִ֥אישׁ ִ ֛אישׁ ,As directed by the Lord, they were appointed by Moses .49 ַﬠל־ ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ֖תוֹ ְו ַﬠ ַל־מ ָשּׂ ֑אוֹ וּ ְפ ֻק ָ֕דיו ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִצָ ֥וּה ְי ָ ֖הוֹה each man to his service and his burden; they were counted as ֶאת־מ ֶ ֽשׁה: .the Lord had commanded Moses

Third Portion Numbers Chapter 5

א ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses saying .1

ב ַ֚צו ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ִֽוי ַשׁ ְלּ ֙חוּ ִמ ַן־ה ַ ֽמּ ֲח ֶ֔נה ָכּל־ ָצ ֖ר ַוּ Command the children of Israel to banish from the camp all .2 ְו ָכל־ָ ֑זב ְו ֖כֹל ָט ֵ ֥מא ָלָ ֽנ ֶפשׁ: those afflicted with tzara'ath or with a male discharge, and all those unclean through [contact with] the dead.

ג ִמָזּ ָ ֤כר ַﬠ ְד־נ ֵק ָב ֙ה ְתּ ַשׁ ֵ֔לּחוּ ֶא ִל־מ ֥חוּץ ַל ַ ֽמּ ֲחֶ ֖נה Both male and female you shall banish; you shall send .3 ְתּ ַשׁ ְלּ ֑חוּם ְו ֤ל ֹא ְי ַט ְמּ ֙אוּ ֶאת ַ ֣־מ ֲח ֵנ ֶ֔יהם ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ֲאִ ֖ני שֹׁ ֵ ֥כן them outside the camp, and they not defile their camps, in ְבּתוֹ ָ ֽכם: .which I dwell among them

ד ַוַ ֽיּ ֲﬠ ֵ ֙שׂוּ־כן ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ַו ְי ַשׁ ְלּ ֣חוּ ָ֔אוֹתם ֶא ִל־מ ֖חוּץ The children of Israel did so: they sent them outside the .4 ַל ַ ֽמּ ֲחֶ ֑נה ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ִדּ ֶ ֤בּר ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֶאל־מ ֶ֔שׁה ֵ ֥כּן ָﬠ ֖שׂוּ ְבֵּ ֥ני camp; as the Lord had spoken to Moses, so did the children of ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: .Israel do

ה ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord then spoke to Moses saying .5

ו ַדּ ֵבּ ֘ר ֶאל־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵאל֒ ִ ֣אישׁ ֽא ִוֹ־א ָ֗שּׁה ִ ֤כּי ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֙שׂוּ Tell the children of Israel: When a man or woman commits .6 ִמ ָכּ ַל־ח ֣טּ ֹאת ָ ֽה ָא ָ֔דם ִל ְמ ֥ﬠֹל ַ ֖מ ַﬠל ַ ֽבּ ָ ֑יהוֹה ְו ָ ֽא ְשׁ ָ ֖מה ,any of the sins against man to act treacherously against God ַהֶ ֥נּ ֶפשׁ ַה ִֽהוא: ,and that person is [found] guilty

ז ְו ִה ְתַו ֗דּוּ ֶאת ַ־ח ָטּ ָאתם֘ ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ָﬠ ֒שׂוּ ְו ֵה ִ ֤שׁיב they shall confess the sin they committed, and make .7 ֶאת ֲ־א ָשׁ ֙מוֹ ְבּר ֹא ֔שׁוֹ ַ ֽו ֲח ִֽמי ִשׁ ֖תוֹ יֹ ֵ ֣סף ָﬠ ָ ֑ליו ְו ָנ ַ֕תן ַ ֽל ֲא ֶ ֖שׁר ,restitution for the principal amount of his guilt, add its fifth to it ָא ַ ֥שׁם ֽלוֹ: .and give it to the one against whom he was guilty

ח ְו ִא ֵ֨ם־אין ָל ִ֜אישׁ ֹגּ ֵ֗אל ְל ָה ִ ֤שׁיב ָ ֽה ָא ָשׁ ֙ם ֵא ָ֔ליו ,But if the man has no kinsman to whom to make restitution .8 the debt which is restored to the Lord, [is to be given] to the ָ ֽה ָא ָ ֛שׁם ַה ָ ֥מּוּשׁב ַ ֽל ָ ֖יהוֹה ַלכֹּ ֵ ֑הן ִמ ְלּ ַ֗בד ֵ֚איל ַה ִכּ ֻפִּ ֔רים ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ְי ַכ ֶפּר־ ֖בּוֹ ָﬠ ָ ֽליו: kohen. [This is] besides the atonement ram through which expiation is made for him.

ט ְו ָכ ְל־תּרוּ ָ֞מה ְל ָכ ָל־ק ְד ֵ ֧שׁי ְבֵ ֽני־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֛אל Every offering of all the children of Israel's holy things which .9

ֲא ֶשׁר־ ַי ְקִ֥ריבוּ ַלכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ֥לוֹ ִֽי ְהֶ ֽיה: .is brought to the kohen, shall be his

י ְו ִ֥אישׁ ֶאת ֳ־ק ָד ָ ֖שׁיו ֣לוֹ ִֽי ְה֑יוּ ִ ֛אישׁ ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִי ֵ ֥תּן ַלכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ֥לוֹ Everyone's holy things shall belong to him; whatever a .10

ִֽי ְהֶ ֽיה: .man gives to the kohen shall be his

Fourth Portion Numbers Chapter 5

יא ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses, saying .11

יב ַדּ ֵבּ ֙ר ֶאל־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ְו ָ ֽא ַמְר ָ ֖תּ ֲא ֵל ֶ ֑הם ִ֥אישׁ ִאי ֙שׁ Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: Should .12 ִֽכּ ִי־ת ְשׂ ֶ ֣טה ִא ְשׁ ֔תּוֹ וּ ָ ֽמ ֲﬠ ָ ֥לה ֖בוֹ ָ ֽמ ַﬠל: ,any man's wife go astray and deal treacherously with him

יג ְו ָשׁ ַ֨כב ִ ֣אישׁ ֹא ָת ֘הּ ִשׁ ְכ ַבת־ ֶ֒זַר ֒ע ְו ֶנ ְﬠ ַל ֙ם ֵ ֽמ ֵﬠ ֵ ֣יני and a man lie with her carnally, but it was hidden from her .13 husband's eyes, but she was secluded [with the suspected ִאי ָ֔שׁהּ ְו ִנ ְס ְתָּ ֖רה ְו ִ ֣היא ִנ ְט ָ ֑מ ָאה ְו ֵﬠ ֙ד ֵ ֣אין ָ֔בּהּ ְו ִ ֖הוא ֥ל ֹא ִנ ְת ָ ֽפּ ָשׂה: adulterer] and there was no witness against her, and she was not seized.

יד ְו ָﬠ ַ֨בר ָﬠ ָ ֧ליו ֽר ַוּ ִ־ק ְנ ָ ֛אה ְו ִקֵ ֥נּא ֶאת ִ־א ְשׁ ֖תּוֹ ְו ִ ֣הוא But a spirit of jealousy had come upon him and he .14 became jealous of his wife, and she was defiled, or, a spirit of ִנ ְט ָ ֑מ ָאה ֽאוֹ־ ָﬠ ַ֨בר ָﬠ ָ ֤ליו ֽר ַוּ ִ־ק ְנ ָא ֙ה ְו ִקֵ ֣נּא ֶאת ִ־א ְשׁ ֔תּוֹ ְו ִ ֖היא ֥ל ֹא ִנ ְט ָ ֽמ ָאה: ,jealousy had come upon him and he was jealous of his wife and she was not defiled.

טו ְו ֵה ִ֨ביא ָה ִ ֣אישׁ ֶאת ִ־א ְשׁ ֘תּוֹ ֶא ַל־הכֹּ ֵהן֒ ְו ֵה ִ ֤ביא Then the man shall bring his wife to the kohen and bring .15 ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ָנ ֙הּ ָﬠ ֶ֔ל ָיה ֲﬠ ִשׂ ִ֥ירת ָ ֽה ֵאי ָ ֖פה ֶ ֣ק ַמח ְשׂעִֹ ֑רים her offering for her, one tenth of an ephah of barley flour. He ֽל ֹא־ ִי ֨צֹק ָﬠ ָ֜ליו ֶ֗שׁ ֶמן ְו ֽל ֹא־ ִי ֵ ֤תּן ָﬠ ָל ֙יו ְלבֹ ָ֔נה ִֽכּ ִי־מ ְנ ַ ֤חת shall neither pour oil over it nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousies, a meal offering of remembrance, ְק ָנ ֹא ֙ת ֔הוּא ִמ ְנ ַ ֥חת ִז ָכּ ֖רוֹן ַמְז ֶ ֥כֶּרת ָﬠֽוֹן: recalling iniquity.

טז ְו ִה ְקִ֥ריב ֹא ָ ֖תהּ ַהכֹּ ֵ ֑הן ְו ֶ ֽה ֱﬠ ִמָ ֖דהּ ִל ְפֵ ֥ני ְי ָ ֽהוֹה: The kohen shall bring her forth and present her before the .16

Lord.

יז ְו ָלַ ֧ קח ַהכֹּ ֵ ֛הן ַ ֥מִים ְק ִ ֖דשׁים ִבּ ְכ ִל ָ ֑י־חֶרשׂ וּ ִמ ֶ ֽן־ה ָﬠ ָ֗פר The kohen shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and .17 ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ִֽי ְהֶי ֙ה ְבּ ַקְרַ ֣ קע ַה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ֔כּן ִיַ ֥קּח ַהכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ְו ָנ ַ ֥תן some earth from the Mishkan floor, the kohen shall take and ֶא ַל־ה ָ ֽמִּים: .put it into the water

יח ְו ֶ ֽה ֱﬠ ִ֨מיד ַהכֹּ ֵ ֥הן ֶ ֽאת ָ ֽ־ה ִא ָשּׁ ֘ה ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָהוֹ ֒ה וּ ָפַר ֙ע Then the kohen shall stand the woman up before the Lord .18 ֶאת ֣־ר ֹאשׁ ָ ֽה ִא ָ֔שּׁה ְו ָנ ַ ֣תן ַﬠ ַל־כּ ֶ֗פּ ָיה ֵ֚את ִמ ְנ ַ ֣חת ַה ִזּ ָכּ ֔רוֹן and expose the [hair on the] head of the woman; he shall place ִמ ְנ ַ ֥חת ְק ָנ ֖ ֹאת ִ ֑הוא וּ ְבַי֤ד ַהכֹּ ֵ ֙הן ִֽי ְה֔יוּ ֵ ֥מי ַה ָמִּ ֖רים into her hands the remembrance meal offering, which is a meal offering of jealousies, while the bitter curse bearing waters are ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִֽרים: in the kohen's hand.

יט ְו ִה ְשׁ ִ֨בּ ַי ֹא ָ֜תהּ ַהכֹּ ֵ֗הן ְו ָא ַ ֤מר ֶא ָ ֽל־ה ִא ָשּׁ ֙ה ִאם־ ֨ל ֹא The kohen shall then place her under oath, and say to the .19 ָשׁ ַ ֥כב ִאי ֙שׁ ֹא ָ֔ת ְו ִאם־ ֥ל ֹא ָשׂ ִ ֛טית ֻט ְמ ָ ֖אה ַ ֣תּ ַחת woman, "If no man has lain with you and you have not gone ִאי ֵ ֑שׁ ִה ָנּ ִ֕קי ִמ ֵ ֛מּי ַה ָמִּ֥רים ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִ ֖רים ָה ֵ ֽא ֶלּה: ,astray to become defiled [to another] in place of your husband then [you will] be absolved through these bitter waters which cause the curse.

כ ְו ַ֗א ְתּ ִ֥כּי ָשׂ ִ ֛טית ַ ֥תּ ַחת ִאי ֵ ֖שׁ ְו ִ ֣כי ִנ ְט ֵ ֑מאת ַו ִיּ ֵ֨תּן But as for you, if you have gone astray [to another] instead .20 ִ֥אישׁ ָבּ ֙ ֶאת־ ְשׁ ָכ ְב ֔תּוֹ ִמ ַבּ ְל ֲﬠ ֵ ֖די ִאי ֵ ֽשׁ: of your husband and have become defiled, and another man besides your husband has lain with you..."

כא ְו ִה ְשׁ ִ֨בּ ַי ַהכֹּ ֵ ֥הן ֶאת ָ ֽ־ה ִא ָשּׁ ֘ה ִבּ ְשׁ ֻב ַ ֣ﬠת ָ ֽה ָא ָל ֒ה The kohen shall now adjure the woman with the oath of .21 ְו ָא ַ ֤מר ַהכֹּ ֵ ֙הן ָ ֽל ִא ָ֔שּׁה ִי ֵ֨תּן ְי ָ ֥הוֹה ָ ֛אוֹת ְל ָא ָ ֥לה ְו ִל ְשׁ ֻב ָ ֖ﬠה the curse, and the kohen shall say to the woman, "May the Lord make you for a curse and an oath among your people, ְבּ ֣תוֹ ַﬠ ֵ ֑מּ ְבּ ֵ֨תת ְי ָ ֤הוֹה ֶאת־ ְיֵר ֵכ ֙ ֹנ ֶ֔פ ֶלת ְו ֶאת־ ִבּ ְטֵ ֖נ when the Lord causes your thigh to rupture and your belly to ָצ ָ ֽבה: .swell

כב וּ ָ ֠באוּ ַה ַ֨מִּים ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִ ֤רים ָה ֵ֨א ֶלּ ֙ה ְבּ ֵמ ַ֔ﬠִי ַל ְצ ֥בּוֹת ,For these curse bearing waters shall enter your innards .22 ֶ ֖בּ ֶטן ְו ַל ְנ ִ ֣פּל ָיֵ ֑ר ְו ָ ֽא ְמָ ֥רה ָ ֽה ִא ָ ֖שּׁה ָא ֵ ֥מן | ָא ֵ ֽמן: causing the belly to swell and the thigh to rupture," and the woman shall say, "Amen, amen."

כג ְ֠ו ָכ ַ ֠תב ֶאת ָ ֽ־ה ָא ֥ת ָה ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ַהכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ַבּ ֵ ֑סּ ֶפר וּ ָמ ָ ֖חה Then the kohen shall write these curses on a scroll and .23

ֶא ֵ ֥ל־מי ַה ָמִּֽרים: .erase it in the bitter water

כד ְו ִה ְשׁ ָק ֙ה ֶאת ָ ֣־ה ִא ָ֔שּׁה ֶאת ֵ ֥־מי ַה ָמִּ ֖רים ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִ ֑רים He shall then give the bitter, curse bearing waters to the .24 וּ ָ ֥באוּ ָ ֛בהּ ַה ַ ֥מִּים ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִ ֖רים ְל ָמִֽרים: woman to drink, and the curse bearing waters shall enter her to become bitter.

כה ְו ָלַ ֤ קח ַהכֹּ ֵ ֙הן ִמַיּ֣ד ָ ֽה ִא ָ֔שּׁה ֵ ֖את ִמ ְנ ַ ֣חת ַה ְקּ ָנ ֑ ֹאת The kohen shall take the meal offering of jealousies from .25 ְו ֵהִ ֤ניף ֶאת ַ־ה ִמּ ְנ ָח ֙ה ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ְו ִה ְקִ֥ריב ֹא ָ ֖תהּ the woman's hand, wave the meal offering before the Lord, and ֶא ַל־ה ִמְּז ֵ ֽבַּ: .bring it to the altar

כו ְו ָק ַ֨מץ ַהכֹּ ֵ ֤הן ִמ ַן־ה ִמּ ְנ ָח ֙ה ֶאת ַ־אְז ָ ֣כָּר ָ֔תהּ ְו ִה ְק ִ ֖טיר The kohen shall scoop out from the meal offering its .26 ַה ִמְּז ֵ ֑בּ ָחה ְו ַא ַ ֛חר ַי ְשֶׁ ֥ קה ֶאת ָ ֽ־ה ִא ָ ֖שּׁה ֶאת ַ־ה ָ ֽמִּים: reminder and burn it upon the altar, and then he shall give the woman the water to drink.

כז ְו ִה ְשָׁ ֣ קהּ ֶאת ַ־ה ַ֗מִּים ְו ָ ֽהְי ָ ֣תה ִא ִם־נ ְט ְמ ָא ֘ה ַו ִתּ ְמ ֣ﬠֹל He shall make her drink the water, and it shall be that, if .27 ַ ֣מ ַﬠל ְבּ ִאי ָשׁ ֒הּ וּ ָ֨באוּ ָ֜בהּ ַה ַ ֤מִּים ַ ֽה ְמ ָ ֽאְרִרי ֙ם ְל ָמִ ֔רים she had been defiled and was unfaithful to her husband, the ְו ָ ֽצ ְב ָ ֣תה ִב ְט ָ֔נהּ ְוָ ֽנ ְפ ָ ֖לה ְיֵר ָ ֑כהּ ְו ָ ֽהְי ָ ֧תה ָ ֽה ִא ָ ֛שּׁה ְל ָא ָ ֖לה curse bearing waters shall enter her to become bitter, and her belly will swell, and her thigh will rupture. The woman will be a ְבֶּ ֥ קֶרב ַﬠ ָ ֽמּהּ: curse among her people.

כח ְו ִאם־ ֤ל ֹא ִנ ְט ְמ ָא ֙ה ָ ֽה ִא ָ֔שּׁה ְוּט ָ ֖הֹרה ִ ֑הוא ְו ִנ ְקּ ָ ֖תה ,But if the woman had not become defiled and she is clean .28

ְו ִנְז ֳר ָ ֥ﬠה ָ ֽז ַ רע: .she shall be exempted and bear seed

כט ֥ז ֹאת ַ ֖תּוֹרת ַה ְקּ ָנ ֑ ֹאת ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ִתּ ְשׂ ֶ ֥טה ִא ָ ֛שּׁה ַ ֥תּ ַחת This is the law of jealousies when a woman goes astray to .29

ִאי ָ ֖שׁהּ ְו ִנ ְט ָ ֽמ ָאה: ,someone other than her husband and is defiled

ל ֣אוֹ ִ֗אישׁ ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֥בֹר ָﬠ ָ ֛ליו ֥ר ַוּ ִק ְנ ָ ֖אה ְו ִקֵ ֣נּא or if a spirit of jealousy comes over a man, and he is .30 ֶאת ִ־א ְשׁ ֑תּוֹ ְו ֶ ֽה ֱﬠ ִ ֤מיד ֶאת ָ ֽ־ה ִא ָשּׁ ֙ה ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ְו ָ ֤ﬠ ָשׂה jealous of his wife, and he presents the woman before the ָל ֙הּ ַהכֹּ ֵ֔הן ֵ ֥את ָכּ ַל־ה ָ ֖תּוֹרה ַה ֽזּ ֹאת: ,Lord, and the kohen shall do to her all of this law

לא ְו ִנָ ֥קּה ָה ִ ֖אישׁ ֵ ֽמ ָﬠ֑וֹן ְו ָ ֽה ִא ָ ֣שּׁה ַה ִ֔הוא ִתּ ָ ֖שּׂא the man shall be absolved of iniquity, and the woman shall .31

ֶאת־ ֲﬠוֹ ָ ֽנהּ: .bear her iniquity

Numbers Chapter 6

א ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses saying .1 ב ַדּ ֵבּ ֙ר ֶאל־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ְו ָ ֽא ַמְר ָ ֖תּ ֲא ֵל ֶ ֑הם ִ ֣אישׁ Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them: A .2 ֽא ִוֹ־א ָ֗שּׁה ִ ֤כּי ַי ְפ ִל ֙א ִל ְנדֹּ ֙ר ֶ ֣נ ֶ דר ָנִ֔זיר ְל ַהִ ֖זּיר ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: man or woman who sets himself apart by making a nazirite vow to abstain for the sake of the Lord.

ג ִמַיּ֤ ִ ין ְו ֵשׁ ָכ ֙ר ַי ִ֔זּיר ֧חֹ ֶמץ ַי֛ ִ ין ְו ֥חֹ ֶמץ ֵשׁ ָ ֖כר ֣ל ֹא ִי ְשׁ ֶ ֑תּה He shall abstain from new wine and aged wine; he shall not .3 drink [even] vinegar made from new wine or aged wine, nor ְו ָכ ִל־מ ְשַׁ ֤רת ֲﬠ ָנ ִבי ֙ם ֣ל ֹא ִי ְשׁ ֶ֔תּה ַ ֽו ֲﬠ ָנ ִ ֛בים ַל ִ֥חים ִֽוי ֵב ִ ֖שׁים ֥ל ֹא י ֹ ֵ ֽאכל: ,shall he drink anything in which grapes have been steeped and he shall eat neither fresh grapes nor dried ones.

ד ֖כֹּל ְי ֵ ֣מי ִנְז ֑רוֹ ִמכֹּ ֩ל ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ֵ ֽי ָﬠ ֶ֜שׂה ִמֶ ֣גּ ֶפן ַהַ֗יּ ִין For the entire duration of his abstinence, he shall not eat .4

ֵ ֽמ ַחְר ַצִ ֛נּים ְו ַﬠד־ָ ֖זג ֥ל ֹא י ֹ ֵ ֽאכל: .any product of the grape vine, from seeds to skins

ה ָכּל־ ְי ֵ ֙מי ֶ ֣נ ֶ דר ִנְז ֔רוֹ ַ ֖תּ ַﬠר ל ֹא־ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֣בֹר ַﬠל־ר ֹא ֑שׁוֹ All the days of his vow of abstinence, no razor shall pass .5 over his head; until the completion of the term that he abstains ַﬠ ְד־מ ֨ל ֹאת ַהָיּ ִ֜מם ֲא ֶשׁר־ ַיִ ֤זּיר ַ ֽל ָיהוֹ ֙ה ָק ֣דֹשׁ ִֽי ְהֶ֔יה ַגֵּ ֥דּל ֶ ֖פַּרע ְשׂ ַ ֥ﬠר ר ֹא ֽשׁוֹ: for the sake of the Lord, it shall be sacred, and he shall allow the growth of the hair of his head to grow wild.

ו ָכּל־ ְי ֵ ֥מי ַה ִזּ ֖ירוֹ ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה ַﬠ ֶ ֥ל־נ ֶפשׁ ֵ ֖מת ֥ל ֹא ָי ֽב ֹא: All the days that he abstains for The Lord, he shall not .6 come into contact with the dead.

ז ְל ָא ִ ֣ביו ְוּל ִא ֗מּוֹ ְל ָא ִח ֙יו ְוּל ַ ֣א ֔חֹתוֹ ֽל ֹא־ ִי ַטּ ָ ֥מּא ָל ֶ ֖הם To his father, to his mother, to his brother, or to his sister, he .7 ְבּ ֹמ ָ ֑תם ִ ֛כּי ֵ ֥נ ֶ זר ֱא ָ ֖היו ַﬠל־ר ֹא ֽשׁוֹ: shall not defile himself if they die, for the crown of his God is upon his head.

ח ֖כֹּל ְי ֵ ֣מי ִנְז ֑רוֹ ָק ֥דשׁ ֖הוּא ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: For the entire duration of his abstinence, he is holy to the .8

Lord.

ט ְו ִֽכי־ ָי ֨מוּת ֵ ֤מת ָﬠ ָל ֙יו ְבּ ֶ ֣פ ַתע ִפּ ְת ֔ ֹאם ְו ִט ֵ ֖מּא ֣ר ֹאשׁ ,If someone in his presence dies unexpectedly or suddenly .9 and causes the nazirite head to become defiled, he shall shave ִנְז ֑רוֹ ְו ִגַ ֤לּח ר ֹא ֙שׁוֹ ְבּ֣יוֹם ָ ֽט ֳהָר ֔תוֹ ַבּ֥יּוֹם ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ ֖יﬠי ְי ַג ְלּ ֶ ֽחנּוּ: off [the hair of] his head on the day of his purification; on the seventh day, he shall shave it off.

י וּ ַב֣יּוֹם ַה ְשּׁ ִמ ִ֗יני ָי ִב ֙א ְשׁ ֵ ֣תּי ֹתִ ֔רים ֥אוֹ ְשֵׁ ֖ני ְבֵּ ֣ני ָ ֑יוֹנה And on the eighth day, he shall bring two turtledoves or .10 ֶ֨א ַל־הכֹּ ֵ֔הן ֶא ֶ ֖ל־פּ ַתח ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: two young pigeons to the kohen, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

יא ְו ָﬠ ָ ֣שׂה ַהכֹּ ֵ֗הן ֶא ָ ֤חד ְל ַח ָטּ ֙את ְו ֶא ָ ֣חד ְלעֹ ָ֔לה ְו ִכ ֶ ֣פּר The kohen shall prepare one for a sin offering and one for .11 a burnt offering and atone on his behalf for sinning by coming ָﬠ ָ֔ליו ֵ ֽמ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ָח ָ ֖טא ַﬠ ַל־הָ ֑נּ ֶפשׁ ְו ִק ַ ֥דּשׁ ֶאת־ר ֹא ֖שׁוֹ ַבּ֥יּוֹם ַה ֽהוּא: into contact with the dead, and he shall sanctify his head on that day.

יב ְו ִהִ ֤זּיר ַ ֽל ָיהוֹ ֙ה ֶאת־ ְי ֵ ֣מי ִנְז ֔רוֹ ְו ֵה ִ ֛ביא ֶ ֥כּ ֶבשׂ He shall consecrate to the Lord the period of his .12 ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֖תוֹ ְל ָא ָ ֑שׁם ְו ַהָיּ ִ ֤מים ָהִֽראשֹׁ ִני ֙ם ִי ְפּ ֔לוּ ִ֥כּי ָט ֵ ֖מא ;abstinence and bring a lamb in its first year as a guilt offering ִנְזֽרוֹ: the previous days shall be canceled because his naziriteship has been defiled.

יג ְו ֥ז ֹאת ַ ֖תּוֹרת ַה ָנִּ ֑זיר ְבּ֗יוֹם ְמל ֹ ֙את ְי ֵ ֣מי ִנְז ֔רוֹ ָי ִ ֣ביא This is the law of the nazirite: On the day his period of .13 ֹא ֔תוֹ ֶא ֶ ֖ל־פּ ַתח ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֽמוֹﬠד: naziriteship is completed, he shall present himself at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

יד ְו ִה ְקִ ֣ריב ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ֣נוֹ ַ ֽל ָ ֡יהוֹה ֩ ֶכּ ֶב ֩שׂ ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֨תוֹ ָת ִ ֤מים He shall bring his offering to the Lord: one unblemished .14 lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one unblemished ewe ֶא ָח ֙ד ְלעֹ ָ֔לה ְו ַכ ְב ָ֨שׂה ַא ַ ֧חת ַבּת־ ְשׁ ָנ ָ ֛תהּ ְתּ ִמי ָ ֖מה ְל ַח ָ ֑טּאת ְו ַ ֽאִי ֶל־א ָ ֥חד ָתּ ִ ֖מים ִל ְשׁ ָל ִֽמים: lamb in its first year as a sin offering, and one unblemished ram as a peace offering,

טו ְו ַ ֣סל ַמ ֗צּוֹת ֤סֹ ֶלת ַח ֙ת ְבּ ֣לוּת ַבּ ֶ֔שּׁ ֶמן ְוּר ִק ֵ ֥י קי and a basket of unleavened cakes; loaves of fine flour .15 ַמ ֖צּוֹת ְמ ֻשׁ ִ ֣חים ַבּ ָ ֑שּׁ ֶמן וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ָ ֖תם ְו ִנ ְס ֵכּ ֶ ֽיהם: mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, with their meal offerings and their libations.

טז ְו ִה ְקִ֥ריב ַהכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָ ֑הוֹה ְו ָﬠ ָ ֥שׂה ֶאת ַ־ח ָטּ ֖אתוֹ The kohen shall present it before the Lord, and perform .16

ְו ֶאת־ ֽﬠֹ ָל ֽתוֹ: .the service of his sin offering and his burnt offering

יז ְו ֶאת ָ־ה ַ֜אִיל ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֶ֨שׂה ֶ ֤ז ַבח ְשׁ ָל ִמי ֙ם ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ַ ֖ﬠל ַ ֣סל ,He shall make the ram as a peace offering to the Lord .17 ַה ַמּ ֑צּוֹת ְו ָﬠ ָשׂ ֙ה ַהכֹּ ֵ֔הן ֶאת ִ־מ ְנ ָח ֖תוֹ ְו ֶאת ִ־נ ְס ֽכּוֹ: along with the basket of unleavened cakes, and the kohen shall perform the service of its meal offering with its libation.

יח ְו ִגַ ֣לּח ַה ָנִּ֗זיר ֶ ֛פּ ַתח ֥ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֖מוֹﬠד ֶאת ֣־ר ֹאשׁ ִנְז ֑רוֹ The nazirite shall shave the head of his naziriteship at the .18 entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and he shall take the hair of ְו ָל ַ֗קח ֶאת־ ְשׂ ַﬠ ֙ר ֣ר ֹאשׁ ִנְז ֔רוֹ ְו ָנ ַ ֙תן ַﬠ ָל־ה ֵ֔אשׁ ֲא ֶשׁ ַ ֖ר־תּ ַחת ֶ ֥ז ַבח ַה ְשּׁ ָל ִֽמים: the head of his naziriteship and place it upon the fire which is under the peace offering.

יט ְו ָל ַ֨קח ַהכֹּ ֵ֜הן ֶאת ַ־ה ְזּ ֣רַֹ ְבּ ֵשׁ ָל ֘ה ִמ ָן־ה ַ֒אִיל֒ ְו ַח ַ֨לּת ,The kohen shall then take the cooked foreleg of the ram .19 one unleavened loaf from the basket and one unleavened ַמ ָ ֤צּה ַא ַח ֙ת ִמ ַן־ה ַ֔סּל ְוּרִ֥ קיק ַמ ָ ֖צּה ֶא ָ ֑חד ְו ָנ ַ ֙תן ַﬠ ַל־כּ ֵ ֣פּי ַה ָנִּ֔זיר ַא ַ ֖חר ִה ְת ַגּ ְלּ ֥חוֹ ֶאת ִ־נְזֽרוֹ: wafer, place [them] in the hands of the nazirite after he has shaven off his nazirite [head].

כ ְו ֵה ִנ ֩יף ָ֨אוֹתם ַהכֹּ ֵ ֥הן | ְתּנוּ ָפ ֘ה ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָהוֹ ֒ה ֤קֹ ֶדשׁ The kohen shall wave them as a waving before the Lord; it .20 is consecrated to the kohen, along with the breast of the ֙הוּא ַלכֹּ ֵ֔הן ַ֚ﬠל ֲחֵז֣ה ַה ְתּנוּ ָ֔פה ְו ַ ֖ﬠל ֣שׁוֹק ַה ְתּרוּ ָ ֑מה ְו ַא ַ ֛חר ִי ְשׁ ֶ ֥תּה ַה ָנִּ ֖זיר ָ ֽי ִ ין: waving and the thigh of the uplifting. After this, the nazirite may drink wine.

כא ֣ז ֹאת ַ ֣תּוֹרת ַה ָנִּז ֘יר ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִידֹּר֒ ָקְר ָבּ ֤נוֹ ַ ֽל ָיהוֹ ֙ה This is the law of a nazirite who makes a vow: his offering .21 to the Lord for his naziriteship is in addition to what is within his ַﬠ ִל־נְז ֔רוֹ ִמ ְלּ ַ ֖בד ֲא ֶשׁ ַר־תּ ִ ֣שּׂיג ָי ֑דוֹ ְכּ ִ ֤פי ִנְד ֙רוֹ ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ִי ֔דֹּר ֵ ֣כּן ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֶ֔שׂה ַ ֖ﬠל ַ ֥תּוֹרת ִנְזֽרוֹ: means. According to the vow that he vows, so shall he do, in addition to the law of his naziriteship.

כב ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses saying .22 כג ַדּ ֵ ֤בּר ֶא ַ ֽל־א ֲה ֙רֹן ְו ֶאל־ ָבָּ ֣ניו ֵל ֔ ֹאמר ֥כֹּה ְת ָ ֽב ֲר ֖כוּ Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: This is how you .23 ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֑אל ָא ֖מוֹר ָל ֶ ֽהם: :shall bless the children of Israel, saying to them

כד ְי ָ ֽבֶר ְכ ֥ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ְו ִי ְשׁ ְמֶ ֽר: .May the Lord bless you and watch over you" .24

כה ָי ֵ֨אר ְי ָ ֧הוֹה | ָפָּ ֛ניו ֵא ֶ ֖לי ִֽו ֻיחֶ ֽנּ ָ ךּ: May the Lord cause His countenance to shine to you and .25 favor you.

כו ִי ָ֨שּׂא ְי ָ ֤הוֹה | ָפּ ָנ ֙יו ֵא ֶ֔לי ְו ָי ֵ ֥שׂם ְל ֖ ָשׁ ֽלוֹם: May the Lord raise His countenance toward you and grant .26 you peace."

כז ְו ָשׂ ֥מוּ ֶאת־ ְשׁ ִ ֖מי ַﬠל־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֑אל ַ ֽו ֲאִ ֖ני ֲא ָ ֽב ֲר ֵ ֽכם: They shall bestow My Name upon the children of Israel, so .27 that I will bless them.

Fifth Portion Numbers Chapter 7 א ַו ְי ִ֡הי ְבּ ֩יוֹם ַכּ ֨לּוֹת מ ֶ֜שׁה ְל ָהִ ֣ קים ֶאת ַ־ה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ֗כּן And it was that on the day that Moses finished erecting the .1 Mishkan, he anointed it, sanctified it, and all its vessels, and ַו ִיּ ְמ ַ֨שׁח ֹא ֜תוֹ ַו ְי ַק ֵ ֤דּשׁ ֹא ֙תוֹ ְו ֶאת ָ־כּ ֵל־כּ ָ֔ליו ְו ֶאת ַ־ה ִמְּז ֵ ֖בַּ ְו ֶאת ָ־כּ ֵל־כּ ָ ֑ליו ַו ִיּ ְמ ָשׁ ֵ ֖חם ַו ְי ַק ֵ ֥דּשׁ ֹא ָ ֽתם: the altar and all its vessels, and he anointed them and sanctified them.

ב ַו ַיּ ְקִ ֨רי ֙בוּ ְנ ִשׂ ֵ ֣יאי ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ָרא ֵ ֖שׁי ֵ ֣בּית ֲאבֹ ָ ֑תם ֵ֚הם ,The chieftains of Israel, the heads of their fathers' houses .2 ְנ ִשׂ ֵ ֣יאי ַה ַמּ ֔טֹּת ֵ ֥הם ָה ֽﬠֹ ְמִ ֖דים ַﬠ ַל־ה ְפּ ֻק ִֽדים: .presented [their offerings]. They were the leaders of the tribes They were the ones who were present during the counting,

ג ַו ָיּ ִ֨ביאוּ ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ָ֜נם ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָ ֗הוֹה ֵ ֽשׁשׁ־ ֶﬠ ְג ֥ת ָצ ֙ב They brought their offering before the Lord: six covered .3 wagons and twelve oxen, a wagon for each two chieftains, and ְוּשֵׁ ֣ני ָﬠ ָ ֣שׂר ָבּ ָ֔קר ֲﬠ ָגָ ֛לה ַﬠל־ ְשֵׁ ֥ני ַה ְנּ ִשׂ ִ ֖אים ְו ֣שׁוֹר ְל ֶא ָ ֑חד ַו ַיּ ְקִ֥ריבוּ ָ ֖אוֹתם ִל ְפֵ ֥ני ַה ִמּ ְשׁ ָ ֽכּן: an ox for each one; they presented them in front of the Mishkan.

ד ַו ֥יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses, saying .4

ה ַ֚קח ֵ ֽמ ִא ָ֔תּם ְו ָה֕יוּ ַ ֽל ֲﬠ ֕בֹד ֶאת־ ֲﬠבַֹ ֖דת ֣ ֹא ֶהל ֵ ֑מוֹﬠד Take [it] from them, and let them be used in the service of .5 ְוָ ֽנ ַת ָ ֤תּה ָאוֹת ֙ם ֶא ַ ֽל־ה ְלִוִ֔יּם ִ ֖אישׁ ְכּ ִ֥פי ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ֽתוֹ: the Tent of Meeting. You shall give them to the Levites, in accordance with each man's work.

ו ַו ִיַּ ֣קּח מ ֶ֔שׁה ֶאת ָ ֽ־ה ֲﬠ ָג ֖ת ְו ֶאת ַ־ה ָבָּ ֑ קר ַו ִיּ ֵ ֥תּן ָ ֖אוֹתם So Moses took the wagons and the cattle and gave them to .6

ֶא ַ ֽל־ה ְלִוִֽיּם: .the Levites

ז ֵ ֣את | ְשׁ ֵ ֣תּי ָ ֽה ֲﬠ ָג ֗לוֹת ְו ֵא ֙ת ַאְר ַ ֣בּ ַﬠת ַה ָבּ ָ֔קר ָנ ַ ֖תן ,He gave two wagons and four oxen to the sons of Gershon .7

ִל ְבֵ ֣ני ֵ ֽג ְ ר ֑שׁוֹן ְכּ ִ ֖פי ֲﬠ ֽבָֹד ָ ֽתם: .according to their work

ח ְו ֵ ֣את | ַאְר ַ ֣בּע ָ ֽה ֲﬠ ָג ֗ת ְו ֵא ֙ת ְשׁ ֹמַ ֣נת ַה ָבּ ָ֔קר ָנ ַ ֖תן And he gave four wagons and eight oxen to the sons of .8 ִל ְבֵ ֣ני ְמָרִ ֑רי ְכּ ִ ֙פי ֲﬠ ֣בָֹד ָ֔תם ְבַּי ֙ד ִֽאי ָת ָ֔מר ֶבּ ַ ֽן־א ֲה ֖רֹן Merari, according to their work under the direction of Ithamar ַהכֹּ ֵ ֽהן: .the son of Aaron the priest

ט ְו ִל ְבֵ ֥ני ְק ָ ֖הת ֣ל ֹא ָנ ָ ֑תן ִֽכּי־ ֲﬠבַֹ ֤דת ַה ֨קֹּ ֶד ֙שׁ ֲﬠ ֵל ֶ֔הם But to the sons of Kohath he did not give, for incumbent .9 ַבּ ָכּ ֵ ֖תף ִי ָ ֽשּׂאוּ: upon them was the work involving the holy [objects], which they were to carry on their shoulders.

י ַו ַיּ ְקִ ֣ריבוּ ַה ְנּ ִשׂ ִ֗אים ֵ֚את ֲח ֻנ ַ ֣כּת ַה ִמְּז ֵ֔בַּ ְבּ֖יוֹם The chieftains brought [offerings for] the dedication of the .10 ִה ָמּ ַ ֣שׁח ֹא ֑תוֹ ַו ַיּ ְקִ ֧ריבוּ ַה ְנּ ִשׂ ִ ֛יאם ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבָּ ֖נם ִל ְפֵ ֥ני altar on the day it was anointed; the chieftains presented their ַה ִמְּז ֵ ֽבַּ: .offerings in front of the altar

יא ַו ֥יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֑שׁה ָנ ִ֨שׂיא ֶא ָ֜חד ַל֗יּוֹם ָנ ִ ֤שׂיא The Lord said to Moses: One chieftain each day, one .11 ֶא ָח ֙ד ַל֔יּוֹם ַי ְקִ ֨רי ֙בוּ ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ָ֔נם ַ ֽל ֲח ֻנ ַ ֖כּת ַה ִמְּז ֵ ֽבַּ: chieftain each day, shall present his offering for the dedication of the altar.

יב ַו ְי ִ֗הי ַה ַמּ ְקִ ֛ריב ַבּ֥יּוֹם ָ ֽהִרא ֖שׁוֹן ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ֑נוֹ ַנ ְח ֥שׁוֹן The one who brought his offering on the first day was .12

ֶבּן־ ַﬠ ִֽמּ ָינָ ֖דב ְל ַמ ֵ ֥טּה ְי ָ ֽהוּדה: .Nahshon the son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah

יג ְו ָקְר ָבּ ֞נוֹ ַ ֽק ֲﬠַרת ֶ ֣־כּ ֶסף ַא ַ֗חת ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים וּ ֵמ ָא ֘ה And his offering was one silver bowl weighing one hundred .13 ִמ ְשׁ ָק ָל ֒הּ ִמְזָ ֤רק ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ִשׁ ְב ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖שׁ ֶקל ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל [and thirty [shekels], one silver sprinkling basin [weighing

ַה ֑קֹּ ֶדשׁ ְשׁ ֵנ ֶ ֣יהם | ְמ ֵל ִ֗אים ֛סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֥לוּלה ַב ֶ ֖שּׁ ֶמן seventy shekels according to the holy shekel, both filled with fine flour mixed with olive oil for a meal offering. ְל ִמ ְנ ָ ֽחה:

יד ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .14 incense.

טו ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .15

ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֖תוֹ ְלעֹ ָ ֽלה: .a burnt offering

טז ְשׂ ִﬠיר־ ִﬠִ֥זּים ֶא ָ ֖חד ְל ַח ָ ֽטּאת: .One young he goat for a sin offering .16

יז ְוּלֶז֣ ַבח ַה ְשּׁ ָל ִמים֘ ָבָּ ֣ קר ְשׁ ַ֒נִי ֒ם ֵא ִ ֤ילם ֲח ִמ ָשּׁ ֙ה And for the peace offering: two oxen, five rams, five he .17 ַﬠ ִ ֣תּוּדים ֲח ִמ ָ֔שּׁה ְכּ ָב ִ֥שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֖נה ֲח ִמ ָ ֑שּׁה ֶ ֛זה ָקְר ַ ֥בּן goats, five lambs in their first year; this was the offering of ַנ ְח ֖שׁוֹן ֶבּן־ ַﬠ ִֽמּ ָינָ ֽדב: .Nahshon the son of Amminadab

יח ַבּ ֙יּוֹם ַה ֵשּׁ ִ֔ני ִה ְקִ ֖ריב ְנ ַת ְנ ֵ ֣אל ֶבּן־ ָ ֑צוּﬠר ְנ ִ ֖שׂיא On the second day, Nethanel the son of Zu'ar, the chieftain .18

ִי ָשּׂ ָ ֽשכר: .[of Issachar brought [his offering

יט ִה ְקִ ֨רב ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ֜נוֹ ַ ֽק ֲﬠַרת ֶ ֣־כּ ֶסף ַא ַ֗חת ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים He brought his offering of one silver bowl weighing one .19 וּ ֵמ ָא ֘ה ִמ ְשׁ ָק ָל ֒הּ ִמְזָ ֤רק ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ִשׁ ְב ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖שׁ ֶקל hundred and thirty [shekels], one silver sprinkling basin

ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל ַה ֑קֹּ ֶדשׁ ְשׁ ֵנ ֶ ֣יהם | ְמ ֵל ִ֗אים ֛סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֥לוּלה ַב ֶ ֖שּׁ ֶמן weighing] seventy shekels according to the holy shekel, both] filled with fine flour mixed with olive oil for a meal offering. ְל ִמ ְנ ָ ֽחה:

כ ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .20 incense.

כא ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .21

ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֖תוֹ ְלעֹ ָ ֽלה: .a burnt offering

כב ְשׂ ִﬠיר־ ִﬠִ֥זּים ֶא ָ ֖חד ְל ַח ָ ֽטּאת: .One young he goat for a sin offering .22

כג ְוּלֶז֣ ַבח ַה ְשּׁ ָל ִמים֘ ָבָּ ֣ קר ְשׁ ַ֒נִי ֒ם ֵא ִ ֤ילם ֲח ִמ ָשּׁ ֙ה And for the peace offering: two oxen, five rams, five he .23 ַﬠ ֻתִּ ֣דים ֲח ִמ ָ֔שּׁה ְכּ ָב ִ֥שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֖נה ֲח ִמ ָ ֑שּׁה ֶ ֛זה ָקְר ַ ֥בּן goats, five lambs in their first year; this was the offering of ְנ ַת ְנ ֵ ֖אל ֶבּן־ ָ ֽצוּﬠר: .Nethanel the son of Zu'ar

כד ַבּ ֙יּוֹם ַה ְשּׁ ִלי ִ֔שׁי ָנ ִ ֖שׂיא ִל ְבֵ ֣ני ְז ֻ ֑בוּלן ֱא ִל ָ ֖יאב ,On the third day, the chieftain was of the sons of Zebulun .24

ֶבּ ֵן־ח ֽן: .Eliab the son of Helon

כה ָקְר ָבּ ֞נוֹ ַ ֽק ֲﬠַרת ֶ ֣־כּ ֶסף ַא ַ֗חת ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים וּ ֵמ ָא ֘ה His offering was one silver bowl weighing one hundred .25 ִמ ְשׁ ָק ָל ֒הּ ִמְזָ ֤רק ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ִשׁ ְב ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖שׁ ֶקל ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל [and thirty [shekels], one silver sprinkling basin [weighing

כו ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .26 incense.

כז ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .27

ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֖תוֹ ְלעֹ ָ ֽלה: .a burnt offering

כח ְשׂ ִﬠיר־ ִﬠִ֥זּים ֶא ָ ֖חד ְל ַח ָ ֽטּאת: .One young he goat for a sin offering .28

כט ְוּלֶז֣ ַבח ַה ְשּׁ ָל ִמים֘ ָבָּ ֣ קר ְשׁ ַ֒נִי ֒ם ֵא ִ ֤ילם ֲח ִמ ָשּׁ ֙ה And for the peace offering: two oxen, five rams, five he .29 ַﬠ ֻתִּ ֣דים ֲח ִמ ָ֔שּׁה ְכּ ָב ִ֥שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֖נה ֲח ִמ ָ ֑שּׁה ֶ ֛זה ָקְר ַ ֥בּן goats, five lambs in their first year; this was the offering of Eliab ֱא ִל ָ ֖יאב ֶבּ ֵן־ח ֽן: .the son of Helon

ל ַבּ ֙יּוֹם ָ ֽהְר ִב ִ֔יﬠי ָנ ִ ֖שׂיא ִל ְבֵ ֣ני ְראוּ ֵ ֑בן ֱא ִל ֖יצוּר ,On the fourth day, the chieftain was of the sons of Reuben .30

ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ֵד ֽיאוּר: .Elitzur the son of Shedeur

לא ָקְר ָבּ ֞נוֹ ַ ֽק ֲﬠַרת ֶ ֣־כּ ֶסף ַא ַ֗חת ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים וּ ֵמ ָא ֘ה His offering was one silver bowl weighing one hundred .31 ִמ ְשׁ ָק ָל ֒הּ ִמְזָ ֤רק ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ִשׁ ְב ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖שׁ ֶקל ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל [and thirty [shekels], one silver sprinkling basin [weighing

לב ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .32 incense.

לג ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .33 ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ָנ ֖תוֹ ְלעֹ ָ ֽלה: .a burnt offering

לד ְשׂ ִﬠיר־ ִﬠִ֥זּים ֶא ָ ֖חד ְל ַח ָ ֽטּאת: .One young he goat for a sin offering .34

לה ְוּלֶז֣ ַבח ַה ְשּׁ ָל ִמים֘ ָבָּ ֣ קר ְשׁ ַ֒נִי ֒ם ֵא ִ ֤ילם ֲח ִמ ָשּׁ ֙ה And for the peace offering: two oxen, five rams, five he .35 ַﬠ ֻתִּ ֣דים ֲח ִמ ָ֔שּׁה ְכּ ָב ִ֥שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֖נה ֲח ִמ ָ ֑שּׁה ֶ ֛זה ָקְר ַ ֥בּן goats, five lambs in their first year; this was the offering of ֱא ִל ֖יצוּר ֶבּן־ ְשׁ ֵד ֽיאוּר: .Elitzur the son of Shedeur

לו ַבּ ֙יּוֹם ַ ֽה ֲח ִמי ִ֔שׁי ָנ ִ ֖שׂיא ִל ְבֵ ֣ני ִשׁ ְמ ֑ﬠוֹן ְשׁ ֻ ֽל ִמ ֵ ֖יאל ,On the fifth day, the chieftain was of the sons of Simeon .36

ֶבּן־ ִֽצוּרי ַשׁ ָ ֽדּי: .Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai

לז ָקְר ָבּ ֞נוֹ ַ ֽק ֲﬠַרת ֶ ֣־כּ ֶסף ַא ַ֗חת ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים וּ ֵמ ָא ֘ה His offering was one silver bowl weighing one hundred .37 ִמ ְשׁ ָק ָל ֒הּ ִמְזָ ֤רק ֶא ָח ֙ד ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ִשׁ ְב ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖שׁ ֶקל ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל [and thirty [shekels], one silver sprinkling basin [weighing

נ ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .50 incense.

נא ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .51

סח ַ ֥כּף ַא ַ ֛חת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֥רה ָז ָ ֖הב ְמ ֵל ָ ֥אה ְק ֽטֶֹרת: One spoon [weighing] ten [shekels] of gold filled with .68 incense.

סט ַ ֣פּר ֶא ָ֞חד ֶבּן־ ָבּ ָ֗קר ַ ֧אִיל ֶא ָ ֛חד ֶ ֽכּ ֶב ֶשׂ־א ָ ֥חד One young bull, one ram and one lamb in its first year for .69

פה ְשׁ ִ ֣לשׁים וּ ֵמ ָ֗אה ַה ְקּ ָﬠָ ֤רה ָ ֽה ַא ַח ֙ת ֶ֔כּ ֶסף ְו ִשׁ ְב ִ ֖ﬠים The weight of each silver bowl was one hundred and thirty .85 [shekels], and that of each basin was seventy [shekels]; all the ַה ִמְּזָ ֣רק ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד ֚כֹּל ֶ ֣כּ ֶסף ַה ֵכּ ִ֔לים ַא ְל ַ ֥פִּים ְו ַאְר ַבּע ֵ־מ ֖אוֹת ְבּ ֶ ֥שׁ ֶקל ַה ֽקֹּ ֶדשׁ: silver of the vessels weighed in total two thousand four hundred [shekels] according to the holy shekel.

פו ַכּ ֨פּוֹת ָז ָ ֤הב ְשׁ ֵ ֽתּים־ ֶﬠ ְשֵׂר ֙ה ְמ ֵל ֣ ֹאת ְק ֔טֶֹרת ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֧רה Twelve gold spoons filled with incense; each spoon .86 ֲﬠ ָשָׂ ֛רה ַה ַ ֖כּף ְבּ ֶ ֣שׁ ֶקל ַה ֑קֹּ ֶדשׁ ָכּל־ ְז ַ ֥הב ַה ַכּ ֖פּוֹת ֶﬠ ְשִׂ֥רים weighing ten [shekels] according to the holy shekel; all the gold וּ ֵמ ָ ֽאה: .spoons totaled one hundred and twenty shekels

פז ָכּ ַל־ה ָבּ ָ֨קר ָ ֽלעֹ ָ֜לה ְשֵׁ ֧נים ָﬠ ָ ֣שׂר ָפִּ ֗רים ֵא ִ ֤ילם The total of the cattle for the burnt offerings was twelve .87 bulls, twelve rams, and twelve lambs in their first year with their ְשֵׁ ֽנים־ ָﬠ ָשׂ ֙ר ְכּ ָב ִ ֧שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֛נה ְשֵׁ ֥נים ָﬠ ָ ֖שׂר וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ָ ֑תם ְוּשׂ ִﬠ ֵ ֥ירי ִﬠִ ֛זּים ְשֵׁ ֥נים ָﬠ ָ ֖שׂר ְל ַח ָ ֽטּאת: meal offerings. And [there were] twelve young he goats for sin offerings.

פט וּ ְב ֨ב ֹא מ ֶ֜שׁה ֶא ֣ ֹל־א ֶהל ֵמוֹﬠ ֘ד ְל ַד ֵ ֣בּר ִאתּוֹ֒ ַו ִיּ ְשׁ ַ֨מע When Moses would come into the Tent of Meeting to .89 speak with Him, he would hear the voice speaking to him from ֶאת ַ־ה ֜קּוֹל ִמ ַדּ ֵ ֣בּר ֵא ָ֗ליו ֵמ ַ ֤ﬠל ַה ַכּ ֨ ֹפֶּר ֙ת ֲא ֶשׁ ֙ר ַﬠ ֲל־א ֣רֹן ָ ֽה ֵﬠ ֻ֔דת ִמ ֵ ֖בּין ְשֵׁ ֣ני ַה ְכֻּר ִ ֑בים ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֖בּר ֵא ָ ֽליו: the two cherubim above the covering which was over the Ark of Testimony, and He spoke to him.

Haftarah Judges Chapter 13 ב ַו ְי ִה֩י ִ֨אישׁ ֶא ָ ֧חד ִמ ָצְּר ָ ֛ﬠה ִמ ִמּ ְשׁ ַ ֥פּ ַחת ַה ָדִּ ֖ני ְוּשׁ ֣מוֹ And there was one man from Zorah, from the family of the .2 ָמ ֑נ ַוֹ ְו ִא ְשׁ ֥תּוֹ ֲﬠ ָקָ ֖רה ְו ֥ל ֹא ָי ָ ֽל ָדה: ,Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had not borne.

ג ַו ֵיָּ ֥רא ַמ ְל ַא־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶא ָל־ה ִא ָ ֑שּׁה ַו ֣יּ ֹ ֶאמר ֵא ֶ֗ל ָיה And an angel of the Lord appeared to the woman, and said .3 ִה ֵנּה ָ֚־נא ַא ְתּ־ ֲﬠ ָקָר ֙ה ְו ֣ל ֹא ָי ַ֔ל ְד ְתּ ְו ָהִ ֖רית ְו ָי ַ ֥ל ְד ְתּ ֵ ֽבּן: to her, "Behold now, you are barren, and have not borne; and you shall conceive and bear a son.

ד ְו ַﬠ ָתּ ֙ה ִה ָ ֣שּׁ ְמִרי ָ֔נא ְו ַא ִל־תּ ְשׁ ִ ֖תּי ַי֣ ִ ין ְו ֵשׁ ָ ֑כר Consequently, beware now, and do not drink wine or strong .4

ְו ַאל־תּ ֹ ְאכ ִ ֖לי ָכּ ָל־ט ֵ ֽמא: .drink, and do not eat any unclean thing

ה ִכּ֩י ִה ָ֨נּ ָהָ ֜רה ְויַֹ ֣ל ְד ְתּ ֵ֗בּן וּ ָמוֹר ֙ה ל ֹא־ ַי ֲﬠ ֶ ֣לה Because you shall conceive, and bear a son; and a razor .5 shall not come upon his head, for a Nazirite to God shall the ַﬠל־ר ֹא ֔שׁוֹ ִֽכּ ְי־נִ ֧זיר ֱא ִ ֛הים ִי ְהֶ ֥יה ַהַ ֖נּ ַﬠר ִמ ַן־ה ָ ֑בּ ֶטן ְו ֗הוּא ָי ֵ ֛חל ְל ִ֥הוֹשׁ ַי ֶאת־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֖אל ִמַ ֥יּד ְפּ ִל ְשׁ ִֽתּים: lad be from the womb; and he will begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines."

ו ַו ָתּ ֣ב ֹא ָה ִא ָ֗שּׁה ַו ֣תּ ֹ ֶאמר ְל ִאי ָשׁ ֘הּ ֵל ֹאמר֒ ִ֚אישׁ And the woman came and said to her husband, saying, "A .6 ָה ֱא ִהי ֙ם ָ ֣בּא ֵא ַ֔לי וּ ַמְר ֵ֕אהוּ ְכּ ַמְר ֵ ֛אה ַמ ְל ַ ֥א ָה ֱא ִ ֖הים man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the

ָ ֣נוֹרא ְמ ֑ ֹאד ְו ֚ל ֹא ְשׁ ִא ְל ִ֙תּ ֙יהוּ ֵ ֽא ִי־מֶ ֣זּה ֔הוּא ְו ֶאת־ ְשׁ ֖מוֹ appearance of an angel of God, very awesome; and I did not ask him from where he was and his name he did not tell me. ֽל ֹא ִ־הִ֥גּיד ִֽלי:

ז ַו ֣יּ ֹ ֶאמר ִ֔לי ִהָ ֥נּ ָהָ ֖רה ְויַֹ ֣ל ְד ְתּ ֵ ֑בּן ְו ַﬠ ָ֞תּה ַא ִל־תּ ְשׁ ִ ֣תּי | And he said to me, 'Behold, you shall conceive and bear a .7 son; and now do not drink wine and strong drink, and do not ַי֣ ִ ין ְו ֵשׁ ָ֗כר ְו ַא ֽל־תּ ֹ ְאכ ִ ֙לי ָכּ ֻל־ט ְמ ָ֔אה ִֽכּ ְי־נ ִ֚ זיר ֱא ִהי ֙ם ִי ְהֶי֣ה ַה ַ֔נּ ַﬠר ִמ ַן־ה ֶ ֖בּ ֶטן ַﬠד־ ֥יוֹם ֽמוֹתוֹ: ,eat any unclean (thing), for a Nazirite to God shall the lad be from the womb until the day of his death.' "

ח ַו ֶיּ ְﬠ ַ ֥תּר ָמ ֛נ ַוֹ ֶאל־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ַויּ ֹ ַ ֑אמר ִ ֣בּי ֲא ָ֔דוֹני ִ ֣אישׁ ,And Manoah entreated the Lord, and said, "Please, O Lord .8 ָה ֱא ִ֞הים ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ָשׁ ַ֗ל ְח ָתּ ָיבוֹא ָ ֥־נא ֙עוֹד ֵא ֵ֔לינוּ ְו ֵ ֕יוֹרנוּ ,the man of God whom You sent, let him come now again to us ַ ֽמה ַ־נּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֖שֹה ַלַ ֥נּ ַﬠר ַה ָ ֽיּוּלּד: ".and teach us what we shall do to the lad that will be born

ט ַו ִיּ ְשׁ ַ ֥מע ָה ֱא ִ ֖הים ְבּ ֣קוֹל ָמ ֑נ ַוֹ ַו ָיּ ֣ב ֹא ַמ ְל ַא ֩ And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel .9 ָה ֱא ִ֨הים ֜עוֹד ֶא ָל־ה ִא ָ֗שּׁה ְו ִה ֙יא ֶ ֣יוֹשׁ ֶבת ַבּ ָשּׂ ֶ֔דה of God came again to the woman, and she was sitting in the וּ ָמ ֥נ ַוֹ ִאי ָ ֖שׁהּ ֵ ֥אין ִﬠ ָ ֽמּהּ: .field, and Manoah her husband was not with her

י ַו ְתּ ַמ ֵה ֙ר ָ ֽה ִא ָ֔שּׁה ַו ָ ֖תָּרץ ַו ַתֵּ ֣גּד ְל ִאי ָ ֑שׁהּ ַו ֣תּ ֹ ֶאמר ֵא ָ֔ליו ;And the woman hurried and ran, and told to her husband .10 ִה ֵ֨נּה ִנְר ָ֚אה ֵא ַ ֙לי ָה ִ֔אישׁ ֲא ֶשׁר־ ָ ֥בּא ַב֖יּוֹם ֵא ָ ֽלי: and she said to him, "Behold, there has appeared to me the man that came to me on that day."

יא ַוָיּ֛ ָ קם ַוֵ ֥יּ ֶל ָמ ֖נ ַוֹ ַא ֲחֵ ֣רי ִא ְשׁ ֑תּוֹ ַו ָיּב ֹ֙א ֶא ָל־ה ִ֔אישׁ And Manoah arose and went after his wife; and he came .11 ַו ֣יּ ֹ ֶאמר ֗לוֹ ַה ַא ָ ֥תּה ָה ִ ֛אישׁ ֲא ֶשׁ ִר־דּ ַ ֥בְּר ָתּ ֶא ָל־ה ִא ָ ֖שּׁה to the man, and said to him, "Are you the man that spoke to the ַו ֥יּ ֹ ֶאמר ָ ֽא ִני: ".woman?" And he said, "I am

יב ַו ֣יּ ֹ ֶאמר ָמ ֔נ ַוֹ ַﬠ ָ ֖תּה ָי ֣ב ֹא ְד ָבֶ ֑רי ַמה־ִֽיּ ְהֶ ֥יה And Manoah said, "Now your words will come forth; what .12

ִמ ְשׁ ַפּ ַט־הַ ֖נּ ַﬠר וּ ַמ ֲﬠ ֵ ֽשֹהוּ: "?shall be the rule for the lad, and his doing

יג ַו ֛יּ ֹ ֶאמר ַמ ְל ַ ֥א ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶא ָל־מ ֑נ ַוֹ ִמ ֛כֹּל And the angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "Of all that I .13

ֲא ֶשׁ ָר־א ַ ֥מְר ִתּי ֶא ָל־ה ִא ָ ֖שּׁה ִתּ ָשּׁ ֵ ֽמר: .said to the woman shall she beware

יד ִמ ֣כֹּל ֲא ֶשׁר־ ֵי ֵצ ֩א ִמ ֶ֨גּ ֶפן ַהַ֜יּ ִין ֣ל ֹא ת ֹ ַ֗אכל ְו ַ֚ י ִין ְו ֵשׁ ָכ ֙ר ,From all that comes out of the grapevine she shall not eat .14 and wine or strong drink she may not drink, and any unclean ַא ֵ֔ל־תּ ְשׁ ְתּ ְו ָכ ֻל־ט ְמ ָ ֖אה ַאל־תּ ֹ ַ ֑אכל ֥כֹּל ֲא ֶשׁר־ ִצִוּי ִ ֖ת ָיה ִתּ ְשׁ ֽ ֹמר: thing) she may not eat; all that I commanded her, shall she) observe."

טו ַו ֥יּ ֹ ֶאמר ָמ ֖נ ַוֹ ֶא ַל־מ ְל ַ ֣א ְי ָ ֑הוֹה ַנ ְﬠ ְצָרה ָ ֣־נּא ָ֔אוֹת And Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, "Let us take .15

ְו ַנ ֲﬠ ֶ ֥שֹה ְל ָפֶ ֖ני ְגִּ֥די ִﬠִֽזּים: ".you in now, and prepare for you a kid goat

טז ַויּ ֹ ֶאמ ֩ר ַמ ְל ַ֨א ְי ַ ֜הוֹה ֶא ָל־מ ֗נ ַוֹ ִא ַם־תּ ְﬠ ְצֵ ֙ר ִ֙ני And the angel of the Lord said to Manoah, "If you take me .16 in I will not eat of your bread, and if you will make a burnt- ל ֹא ֹ־א ַ ֣כל ְבּ ַל ְח ֶ֔מ ְו ִא ַם־תּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֣שֹה עֹ ָ֔לה ַל ָ ֖יהוֹה ַתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֑ל ָנּה ִ֚כּי ל ֹא־ ָי ַ ֣דע ָמ ֔נ ַוֹ ִֽכּ ַי־מ ְל ַ ֥א ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֽהוּא: offering, you must offer it to the Lord;" For Manoah did not know that he was an angel of the Lord.

יז ַו ֧יּ ֹ ֶאמר ָמ ֛נ ַוֹ ֶא ַל־מ ְל ַ ֥א ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ִ ֣מי ְשׁ ֶ ֑מ ִֽכּי־ ָי ֥ב ֹא And Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, "What is your .17

ְד ָבְר ֖ (כתיב ְד ָבְר ֖י) ְו ִכ ַבּ ְד ֽנוּ: ".name, that when your word will come we may do you honor

יח ַויּ֚ ֹ ֶאמר ֙לוֹ ַמ ְל ַ ֣א ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ָ ֥ל ָמּה ֶ ֖זּה ִתּ ְשׁ ַ ֣אל ִל ְשׁ ִ ֑מי And the angel of the Lord said to him, "Why do you .18

ְוהוּא ֶ ֽ־פ ִלאי: ".presently ask for my name; since it is hidden

יט ַו ִיּ ַ֨קּח ָמ ֜נ ַוֹ ֶאת ְ־גּ ִ֚ די ָה ִﬠ ִזּי ֙ם ְו ֶאת ַ־ה ִמּ ְנ ָ֔חה ַוַ ֥יּ ַﬠל And Manoah took the kid goat and the meal-offering, and .19 ַﬠ ַל־ה ֖צּוּר ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה וּ ַמ ְפ ִ ֣לא ַל ֲﬠ ֔שֹוֹת וּ ָמ ֥נ ַוֹ ְו ִא ְשׁ ֖תּוֹ offered it upon the rock to the Lord; and (the angel) did רֹ ִֽאים: .wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on

כ ַו ְי ִה֩י ַב ֲﬠ ֨לוֹת ַה ַ֜לּ ַהב ֵמ ַ֚ﬠל ַה ִמְּז ֵ֙בַּ ֙ ַה ָשּׁ ַ֔מְי ָמה ַוַ ֥יּ ַﬠל And it was, when the flame went up from upon the altar .20 ַמ ְל ַא־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ְבּ ַ ֣ל ַהב ַה ִמְּז ֵ ֑בַּ וּ ָמ ֚נ ַוֹ ְו ִא ְשׁ ֙תּוֹ רֹ ִ֔אים toward heaven, and the angel of the Lord ascended in the ַו ִיּ ְפּ ֥לוּ ַﬠ ְל־פּ ֵנ ֶ ֖יהם ָ ֽאְר ָצה: flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on, and they fell on their faces to the ground.

כא ְול ֹא־ ָ֚י ַסף ֙עוֹד ַמ ְל ַ ֣א ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ְל ֵהָר ֖ ֹאה ֶא ָל־מ ֣נ ַוֹ And the angel of the Lord did not continue to appear to .21 ְו ֶא ִל־א ְשׁ ֑תּוֹ ָ֚אז ָי ַ ֣דע ָמ ֔נ ַוֹ ִֽכּ ַי־מ ְל ַ ֥א ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֽהוּא: Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the Lord.

כב ַו ֧יּ ֹ ֶאמר ָמ ֛נ ַוֹ ֶא ִל־א ְשׁ ֖תּוֹ ֣מוֹת ָנ ֑מוּת ִ֥כּי ֱא ִ ֖הים ,And Manoah said to his wife, "We shall surely die .22

ָר ִֽאינוּ: ".because we have seen God

כג ַו ֧תּ ֹ ֶאמר ֣לוֹ ִא ְשׁ ֗תּוֹ ֩לוּ ָח ֵ֨פץ ְי ָ֚הוֹה ַל ֲה ִמי ֵ֙ת ֙נוּ But his wife said to him, "If the Lord wanted to kill us, He .23 ֽל ֹא־ ָל ַ֚קח ִמָיּ ֵ֙ד ֙נוּ עֹ ָ ֣לה וּ ִמ ְנ ָ֔חה ְו ֥ל ֹא ֶהְר ָ ֖אנוּ would not have received from our hand a burnt-offering and a ֶאת ָ־כּ ֵ ֑ל־א ֶלּה ְו ָכ ֵ֕ﬠת ֥ל ֹא ִה ְשׁ ִמ ָ ֖יﬠנוּ ָכּ ֽז ֹאת: meal-offering, and He would not have shown us all these things; and at this time He would not let us hear (such things) as these."

כד ַו ֵ֚ תּ ֶלד ָ ֽה ִא ָשּׁ ֙ה ֵ֔בּן ַו ִתּ ְקָ ֥רא ֶאת־ ְשׁ ֖מוֹ ִשׁ ְמ ֑שׁוֹן ;And the woman bore a son and called his name Samson .24

ַו ִיּ ְגַ ֣דּל ַה ַ֔נּ ַﬠר ַ ֽו ְ י ָבְר ֵ ֖כהוּ ְי ָ ֽהוֹה: .and the lad grew, and the Lord blessed him

כה ַו ָ֙תּ ֶח ֙ל ֣ר ַוּ ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ְל ַפ ֲﬠ ֖מוֹ ְבּ ַמ ֲח ֵנה ָ ֑־דן ֵ ֥בּין ָצְר ָ ֖ﬠה And the spirit of the Lord began to come to him at times in .25

וּ ֵ ֥בין ֶא ְשׁ ָתּ ֽ ֹאל: .the camp of Dan; between Zorah and Eshtaol
