The Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate
The Commissionerate has been established on November 19, 1994. It consists of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Panvel Municipal Corporation, Uran Municipality, Panvel & Uran Talukas in Thane and Raigad districts. The total area of the Police Commissionerate is 1000 Sq.Km and the total population is 28,42,777 (Ref. Census 2011) . Under the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, a total of 443 officers and 4660 staff are working, under the guidance of Shri Sanjay Kumar, Commissioner of Police. The Commissionerate of Police is divided into two zones and has a total of 20 police stations and various specialized branches. Navi Mumbai has a major congregation of citizens working in Mumbai and residing in Navi Mumbai. Also, having a population working in industrial areas of Turbhe and Rabale MIDC. During the covid 19 pandemic, Navi Mumbai Police has meticulously planned and worked with District Magistrates and municipal corporations for enforcement of lockdown. APMC Navi Mumbai is a major hub of food and vegetable supplies to Mumbai and the MMR region. During this lockdown, police worked for smooth functioning of APMC and supply of all goods. Also, we focused on smooth functioning of Nhavaseva Port, largest Port, in the county. PUBLIC WELFARE

PREFACE With announcement of first lockdown in view of Covid-19 pandemic, Navi Mumbai Police, saw an opportunity in crisis, an opportunity to build a better rapport with the society and serve the community with all humility and dignity. Navi Mumbai Police resolved to keep its officers and men safe and healthy, at the same time, to serve the community, especially senior citizens and working women, residing in the area of responsibility of Navi Mumbai Police, with due sensibility going beyond its duty and responsibility. While strictly maintaining the lockdown, Navi Mumbai Police, has extended all sorts of support and help to all stranded labourers and persons in need. We are overwhelmed to publish this booklet which is a small reflection of our team efforts during COVID-19 management. 32 HELP TO SENIOR CITIZENS
We exclusively provided four dedicated helpline numbers for senior citizen in Covid-19 pandemic and reached out to 1680 senior citizens. We served their needs as per their calls.
01 BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS
During Covid-19 pandemic lockdown we celebrated birthdays of 17 senior citizen at their residence by providing cakes from police.
02 PROVIDED 24 X 7 TRANSPORT FACILITY FOR WOMEN & SENIOR CITIZENS
During Covid-19 pandemic lockdown we provided two dedicated police vehicles round the clock for medical emergencies & drop off facility for women.
03 BLOOD DONATION
Tata Cancer Hospital faced shortage of blood and asked help for blood donation. 49 police officers & constables donated blood. This act has been appreciated by Hon. Home Minister, Maharashtra Shri. Anil Deshmukh

Navi Mumbai Police made available of Scarce Medicine and instruments to needy senior citizens.
13 DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA
Using social media as a portal to reach out to all anxious citizens, Navi Mumbai Police gave timely instructions, information and responses to queries of people. We used Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp for dissemination of all news including daily updates through reports of patients diagnosed, recovered and lost. A healthy contact was maintained with citizens at all points of time by all officers.

Distributed 5133, N-95 Mask to police officers & staff. Distributed 82,500 three ply mask to all staff. Distributed 4500 three ply mask to police families.

Sanitizing van daily visited all nakabandi points and sanitized police staff from time to time.
Installed Sanitization tunnels for increased protection of our personnel.
20 EXTENDED SUPPORT TO MUMBAI POLICE
AT SAVALI CCC - PC/090034 PRAVIN VILAS MHASKE, D.B.MARG POLICE STATION, MUMBAI
Police personnel living within limit of the Navi Mumbai Commissionerate but working in Mumbai and Thane were also provided with all possible medical assistance. A total of 165 covid 19 infected police personnel and their WPC/ 3035 SUJATA MAHADEV DABDE, family members were extended DADAR RAILWAY POLICE STATION support by the Navi Mumbai Police. 21 MEDICAL CHECK UP OF ALL POLICE STAFF
We screened all police officers & staff two times with the help of Municipal Corporation & Indian Dental Association Doctors team.

27 REACHED OUT TO RETIRED POLICE & OFFICERS FOR HELP A special helpline was started by the Navi Mumbai Police during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 160 officers and staff who have retired from the Navi Mumbai Police Force and are currently residing in Navi Mumbai were called on to check about overall well being and were supported with help as per their need.

SAVALI CCC is exclusively for police and has a capacity of 50 beds. It is recognised by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation as CCC. A dedicated team of Doctors and Nurses is available 24 x 7. 32 Nivara CCC is exclusively for “NIVARA” police and has a capacity of COVID CARE 100 beds. CENTRE It is recognised by Panvel KALAMBOLI Municipal Corporation as CCC. A dedicated team of Doctors and Nurses is available 24 x 7.
33 To keep up the DISTRIBUTED immunity of recovered NUTRITIOUS DIET patients, a kit with the KIT TO COVID following items was RECOVERED distributed. PATIENTS
