This affects the US in Europe section in particular but we will be back on schedule with the October MAR. With this issue you will find the 2015 Subscription Forms - the 2015 rates are unchanged (although Royal Mail do their best every year to make an increase in the cost of the paper magazine look more imminent!). The web site at www.mar.co.uk has the new rates on it and you can use the Pay Pal facility to re-subscribe there (PLEASE NOTE Using this Pay Pal facility does not mean you have to have a Pay Pal account, you can pay using any debit or credit card you can think of!). The Renewal form is also available to download from the MAR Members area on the web site when you enter to download the latest PDF magazine. Finally, for any members renewing using a cheque for payment will you please ensure you make the cheque payable to “B PICKERING” as we are no longer using the MAP account. Thanks for your help! You will also see that on the form (and the web site) that the latest 2014 MAR and @MAR CDs can also be ordered for delivery in January 2015. Obviously, if you get the paper version of MAR you are also entitled to get the PDF version free! It recently undertook an eleven day non-stop flight from an undisclosed location. It was reported that some of No.2 Squadron have departed from RAF Marham during the last week of August to the French Air Base at N’Djamena in Chad so that they can be used in the intelligence, surveillance, targeting, acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) role in support for the hunt for the Nigerian School girls that have been kidnapped by the Islamist group Bokum Haram. Another deployment by No.2 Sqn Marham is Operation Shader. No.2 Sqn crews deployed on 12.08 with six Tornado GR.4s to Akrotiri, Cyprus to carry out reconnaissance missions over Iraq. Finally Operation Herrick duties previously untaken by 9 Sqn has been handed over to 31 Sqn.…...Mick Boulanger (Military movements is history, now and for our future) ALDERGROVE - Residents noted operating during August: 665 Sqn Gazelle AH.1 ZB669 ZB674 ZB689 RAF BENSON -
