SOCIAL th • 8 ANNUAL ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY EXPO – April 28, 2011, with a Pre-conference Workshop on April 27, 2011 in Fargo, ND. The day includes a morning of presentations by AT providers and vendors. There is a registration fee of $30 for these sessions and lunch. Scholarships are available to individuals with disabilities on a first-come, first serve basis. The AT Expo runs 11:00am-6:00pm and is free and open to the public . Over 60 vendors and service organizations are expected. We will also explore what poor sleep does to our health and economy. The North Dakota Center for Sleep will provide attendees with complimentary appetizers and beverages. The men of Rock City Riot will be bouting on April 30th to determine who the champion of the 2010-2011 season is! Will it be the "Hip Check Murphy's" or the "Quad Brawlers"? It's really anyone's bout as both teams are tied in the season record!! All proceeds from Philanthropy by Design support the work of the Women’s Fund Endowment, a permanent component of the FM Area Foundation. The Women’s Fund Endowment awards grants each year to area non-profits that support three areas of focus: children in the need of care, economic well-being of women and their families, and opportunities for women in leadership. DOWN THE ROAD • Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition – Sun 5/8, 1-5pm, MSUM. Hosted by the Fargo Jaycees, the Pitch, Hit, and Run competition is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the “fun” element of baseball competition. There is no registration fee, so every boy and girl, ages 7-14 will have a chance to complete. Participants will compete in three important aspects of baseball/softball: pitching, hitting, and running.
