1 Rules Howdy friends! Welcome to the second Desperados III – Community Speedrun Challenge ("challenge"). Here is how it works and how you can participate for a chance to win some funky prizes...

1.1 The Challenge

It's simple, really. If you ("player") want to win the challenge, you have to be fast! Faster than anyone else. However, it's not just a "complete the level as fast as you can" kind of thing. We spiced it up by adding a challenge. You will have to speedrun the level "Eagle Falls" as fast as you can – without raising any alarms and by getting the dynamite from the shooting range.

• Level: Eagle Falls • Difficulty: Normal • Settings: You can use your own game settings and your own control schemes. • Challenge: Complete the level as fast as you can without triggering any alarms. You have to get the dynamite for blowing up the bridge in the shooting range!

• Note: To make the speedrun challenge more accessible to all players, it is not allowed to use the Fast Forward mode! Moreover, it is not allowed to use game-breaking Glitches, such as the "Showdown Mode Body Carry Teleport” or any other "Teleport Glitches" that usually involve the "Showdown Mode" giving players, who exploit it, an unfair advantage by being able to teleport, e.g., characters through the map.

1.2 How can I participate?

To participate you have to record your best speedrun playthrough of the described challenge above, then upload it on YouTube and send the uncut (!) video (also showing the Replay Screen and Mission Stats Screen upon mission completion) as link to [email protected]. During your speedrun you can quicksave / quickload if you prefer. But it is not allowed to load the game from the main menu.

To make the speedrun challenge more accessible to all players, it is not allowed to use the Fast Forward mode! Moreover, it is not allowed to use game-breaking Glitches, such as the "Showdown Mode Body Carry Teleport” or any other "Teleport Glitches" that usually involve the "Showdown Mode" giving players, who exploit it, an unfair advantage by being able to teleport, e.g., characters through the map. The submission will only be accepted if you have sent the uploaded and uncut video of your speedrun playthrough to the mentioned email address as a valid and accessible YouTube link. Please note that you can only submit one video of your speedrun playthrough! Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic will only consider the first video that you submit. Hence, make sure you send in your final and best speedrun playthrough. If the Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic jury sees any evidence of video editing, cheating or disregard of rules, the submitted video and respective player will be disqualified.

1.3 Who can participate?

All individuals are eligible to participate in the challenge. All employees and representatives of Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, are not eligible.

1.4 Submission Period The submission period begins on August 27th, 8.00am PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) / August 27th, 5.00pm CEST (Central European Summer Time) and will end on August 30th, 11.59pm PDT / August 31st, 8.59am CEST.

1.5 Winner Determination

After the conclusion of the submission, we will determine the Winning Players ("winners"). The players, who have completed the challenge according to the rules and Completion Time the fastest, will be deemed as the winners at Mimimi Games' and THQ Nordic’s discretion, based on each player's video submission that proves their Completion Time of their respective speedrun playthrough. Please note if the Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic jury sees any evidence of video editing, cheating or disregard of rules, the submitted video and respective player will be disqualified. The winners will be contacted and required to hand in their full name, address of residency as well as email address and agree that Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic may process the provided information to deliver the prizes. Failure to do so or other noncompliance with the challenge rules may result in disqualification. If any winner is disqualified, the payer with the next fastest completion time will be deemed the potential winner of the applicable prize, subject to compliance with all requirements set forth herein as being imposed on winning players. If, for whatever reason, fewer than five players complete the challenge, not all prizes will be awarded. Moreover, every player who has submitted a video automatically participates in a raffle and gets the chance to win a solatium (as described below).

1.6 Prizes Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the following prizes will be awarded to each winner, as applicable, based on their placement at the conclusion of the challenge.

2 Conditions & More

2.1 General

Players are responsible for understanding the rules of the game. Unless otherwise specified by Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic, all normal rules of gameplay will apply. Players must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. Players who engage in unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening conduct or violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in the game or in participating in the challenge, or attempt to obtain winner status using fraudulent means, including, without limitation, cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices, in Mimimi Games' and THQ Nordic’s sole discretion, will be disqualified. Players must abide by all rules and regulations of the challenge and must comply with all requests and directions of Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic. Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic reserve the right to disqualify any player from participation at any time and for any reason. Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic are not responsible for any unanticipated (technical) failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture or other information, or the failure to capture any such information. Winning status is subject to verification, at Mimimi Game's and THQ Nordic's discretion, including any suspected errors or anomalies in the game that

may have affected the displayed results. All decisions of Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic are final in all matters relating to the challenge. By participating in the challenge, each player agrees: (a) to abide by these challenge rules and decisions of Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic, which shall be final and binding in all respects; and (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates and respective representatives and employees from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from player’s participation in the challenge. Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic are not responsible for failures or issues of any kind or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise, relating to or in connection with the challenge, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the challenge or in any challenge-related materials; any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the challenge; orinjury or damage to any person's computer or console related to or resulting from participating in the challenge. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the challenge, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these challenge rules, as solely determined by Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic, will be disqualified. In the event of force majeure causes, such as unauthorized intervention, bugs or tampering meeting force majeure conditions, Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the challenge at any time. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of these rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. Mimimi Games' and THQ Nordic's failure to enforce any term of these rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

2.2 Participation By participating in the challenge, each player (a) grants permission for Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic and its designees to use player’s name, tag, likeness, video, game play statistics, and/or account IDs for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the challenge period, in any media, throughout the world, in perpetuity, but only in connection with publicizing the challenge, without any compensation or prior review; and (b) agrees to be bound by these challenge rules and the decisions of Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic (including interpretations of these challenge rules) and the judges, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the challenge or these challenge rules. Moreover, by participating in the challenge, each winner (c) agrees to be contacted and share their full name, address of residency as well as email address upon request by Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic and (d) agrees that Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic may process the provided information to deliver the prizes.

2.3 Force Majeure

If for any reason the challenge is not capable of running as planned, Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the challenge. Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic shall not be liable to winners or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof in case of any force majeure or any event beyond their control.

2.4 Privacy The information that players provide in connection with the challenge will be used in accordance with Mimimi Games' and THQ Nordic's privacy policy.

2.5 Note

The challenge is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Steam or any other platform the challenge is being promoted on.
