The win Grambling State at UL Monroe ULM, 3-0 was the Jaguars’ seventh in their last 10 matches. USA Wednesday, October 28th is also 6-2 in its last eight conference matches since Little Rock at Arkansas State 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 20th opening SBC play 0-2. Five of South Alabama’s last UL Lafayette at McNeese State MCN, 3-0 Friday, October 30th eight matches have gone five sets. The five-set match UL Lafayette at Appalachian State 5:30 PM versus the Bobcats was the eighth of the season for Georgia Southern at Arkansas State 6:00 PM Thursday, October 22nd USA and fourth in Sun Belt Conference play. The Jags South Alabama at Georgia State 6:00 PM Texas State at Troy TXST, 3-1 are 5-3 (3-1 SBC) in those matches. Richardson and Stewart set the tone defensively at the net in the opening set, registering four solo blocks to USA to a 25-16 victory. Richardson’s second solo block of the set sealed the nine-point victory. South Alabama will have a busy schedule this coming week as it will play three matches in six days. PAIGE BROWN ZHANELLE GEATHERS APPALACHIAN STATE | SR | S | SPANISH UT ARLINGTON | FR | OH | KINESIOLOGY Paige Brown enjoyed another monstrous weekend for the Mountaineers to help extend their winning streak to 13 and improve to 10-0 in Sun Belt play. Zhanelle Geathers provided a spark for the Maver- Brown tallied 33 assists in a straight-set sweep of Georgia Southern on icks over the past week, averaging 2.75 kills and 1.12 Friday. She averaged 11.0 assists per set and also managed one kill and three blocks per set in wins over Georgia State and Georgia service aces in the effort. During the match, Brown went over 4,000 assists in her career. Against Georgia State, Brown came within two assists of tying a Southern. Geathers best outing came in a three-set season-high and finished with an ultra-impressive 57 assists, including 14.2 victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday night as she assists per set in a 3-1 win over the Panthers.
