• Texas State will look to improve its record to 11-1 this season when the Bobcats travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for a non-conference game against Arkansas at 1 p.m. Dec. 22 in the Bud Walton Arena. The game can be heard in Austin on AM 1300 and will be joined in progress on FM 89.9 (KTSW) in San Marcos following the conclusion of Texas State’s women’s basketball game in the Tulane Classic. The game is audio streamed on the Texas State Sports Network on TuneIn.com. In addition, the SEC+ Network will televise the contest with Kevin Fitzgerald and Pat Bradley calling the action.

• Tre’Larenz Nottingham scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as Texas State won its eighth straight game at UTRGV. Nijal Pearson scored 16 points, while Eric Terry netted 15 and Alex Peacock had 10. Nottingham scored 12 of his points in the first half as the Bobcats overcame a 16-12 deficit to lead 39-35 halftime. Nottingham and Peacock nailed back-to-back three-point field goals to give the Bobcats a 34-28 lead with four minutes left in the first half. Texas State never trailed again.
53, a span of 66 years. The 10-1 beginning equals the 1952-53 season’s 10-1 start. The only time TXST had a better start was in 1951-52 when the Bobcats were 29-0 before falling 70-67 in overtime against Missouri State in the semifinals of the NAIA National Tournament. TXST beat Portland 78-68 in the third-place game to finish the year with a 30-1 record.

• Texas State’s eight game winning streak is the longest winning streak for the Bobcats since 1993-94 when they entered the NCAA Tournament with a 10-game winning streak .

Press row for Texas State basketball games is located on the west side concourse level on the baseline. The media entrance to the arena is from the northeast corner of the Coliseum at Gate 4, and the northeast entrance is also used for Will Call pick up of credentials, also at Gate 4. Parking is located in the lost east of the Coliseum, across Charles Austin Drive.
Following a brief cooling off period, Texas State head coach Danny Kaspar and selected players will be available for interviews in the Strahan Coliseum media room located on the northwest corner of the concourse level. Texas State’s locker room will remain closed at all times. Requests for selected players must be submitted to the Texas State Sports Information staff.

MEDIA AND PHOTO CREDENTIALS

All other interviews with basketball players or staff members must be arranged through the Sports Information Office with at least 24 hours notice. Media should never contact a player or coach directly.
Credentials for Texas State home basketball games are issued for working media only and must be requested through the sports information office, preferably in advance. Only photographers on assignment from an accredited media agency will be issued credentials. Photographers are required to abide by the guidelines set forth by the NCAA on shooting limitations from the sidelines. Those not complying with the guidelines may be removed.
