Where to Fish in Moray This leaflet gives details of the Angling Associations and tackle shops where you can buy permits to fish the Rivers Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie. The River Findhorn flowing from its source high in the Monadhliath Mountains 60 miles to the outflow at Findhorn on the Moray Firth, is a most attractive salmon river, with a succession of deep pools and fast runs throughout its length. Forres Angling Association control four miles of double bank fishing on the lower River Findhorn. Season permits are available for people living permanently in the postal address of IV36, and cost Adult £85 plus £50 joining fee. Fishing permits are available from the Post Office in Findhorn. Day Permit £2.20, Weekly Permit £13.20 The River Lossie flows northwards through Morayshire to Elgin, entering the Moray Firth at Lossiemouth. The River Lossie can provide some excellent salmon and sea trout fishing. Elgin Angling Association control the lower 10 miles of the River Lossie. The Nairn Angling Association holds 8 miles of fishing offering the angler some of the best Salmon & Sea Trout Association water in Scotland.
