Richardson), A very fine large flower bred from Green Island x Tudor Minstrel, with very broad flat pure white perianth of thick waxy substance. The large expanded cup of bright clear deep yellow is beautifully frilled at the mouth ; a fine addition to this class in which really good flowers are scarce. A tall strong plant but flowers take a little time to develop as the petals open yellowish. Each, $22.40. Each, £8 2h—LIBERTY LIGHT, 2 U. L. Richardson). A most attractive flower - with broad flat pure white perianth segments of lovely quality slightly pointed at the tips. The nicely proportioned cup is very pale citron almost white with a broad margin of pinkish orange. The flower is rather like a much improved Coral Island. Each, $14.00. Each, E5 2a—MADEIRA, 2 (J. L. Richardson). A really outstanding flower bred from SEM Chariot x Bahran-3; the bright golden yellow perianth is very round, beautifully smooth and flat of first class substance the large saucer shaped shallow crown is bright glowing orange red. A splendid plant. Each, $28.00. Each, i10 317,.---MERLIN, 4 (j, L. Richardson). This flower came from self fertilised Mahmoud and I consider it the best of the rim-eyed 3bs. a really beautiful medium sized flower with purest white broad rounded flat perianth of lovely quality, and a large flat crown of pale yellow with a narrow sharply defined margin of intense red. A splendid Show flower and a good plant. Each, $14.00. Each, £5 b—NORTHERN LIGHT, 4 (J. L. Richardson). A truly magnificent and striking flower, with broad much overlapping pure white perianth of lovely quality and substance, and a large saucer shaped crown of solid bright glowing orange red. An out- standing flower in every way, it was bred from Ferro y Arbar, and could well be described as a much brighter Fermoy, but it flowers earlier. (See illustration front cover). Each, $42.00. Each, £15 2a—PATAGONIA, 4-5 (J. L. Richardson). A very brilliant striking flower much admired at the Midland Daffodil Society Show in April 1958, very useful as a Show flower as it is late for this type. The bright golden yellow perianth segments are pointed at the tips, very smooth and of lovely texture ; the well pro- portioned bright orange red cup is nicely expanded and much frilled at the mouth the colour of the whole flower deepens Each, S14.00.
