2020 Expo Program VIRGINIA FOOD & BEVERAGE EXPO Expo Program Wednesday, March 18, 2020 Greater Richmond Convention Center Exhibit Hall D Expo Hours 9 am - 4 pm Best New Product Awards 11 am THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS GOLD SILVER BRONZE ADDITIONAL SPONSORS A FD EEAE EP March 18 Hall D | Greater Richmond Convention Center | Richmond, VA Welcome to the 2020 Virginia Food and Beverage Expo, a celebration of Virginia’s specialty crafted food and drink industry. Since 1992, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) has proudly hosted this important trade event, connecting Virginia producers directly with buyers representing major grocery stores, specialty gift and gourmet shops, restaurants, schools, food service and tasting rooms. The Expo is also the place to be for farmers’ market managers, food brokers and distributors. Over the years, industry partners have come to rely heavily on the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo to showcase the Best of the Best of Virginia products, including meats, cheeses, soups, seafood, peanuts, pasta, breads, baked goods, sauces, snacks, chocolates, condiments, dressings, beverages, Virginia wines and craft beverages and more! The Virginia Food and Beverage Expo consistently showcases Virginia’s amazing companies and the breadth of their products that reliably prove to be pleasing to the palates of even the most selective connoisseurs. The Food and Beverage Industry is the Commonwealth’s second largest manufacturing sector. Each year it has a direct economic impact of more than $31 billion and employs more than 38,000 Virginians. Additionally, the industry supports thousands more jobs through retailers, logistics providers, packaging companies and, of course, on Virginia farms. Today’s trade event is one of the largest gatherings of Virginia’s Finest® products under one roof. Founded by VDACS to enhance the economic opportunities and success of Virginia’s specialty food companies, processors and agriculture producers, the Virginia’s Finest® Trademark Program celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. The classic Virginia’s Finest® seal identifies, differentiates and promotes top-quality Virginia agricultural and specialty food and beverage products. Buyers and consumers recognize the blue-and- red “VA checkmark” logo as a sign that they are purchasing the highest quality products, produced and processed right here in Virginia. Please enjoy getting to know our fantastic Virginia exhibitors, and thank you for supporting Virginia agriculture, the Commonwealth’s largest private industry, contributing $70 billion annually to the Commonwealth. 1 www.2020VAExpo.com Exhibitors by Booth 100 Forbes Candies Inc 105 Element Shrub 110 King of Clubs Brewing Taffy, caramels Shrubs for spiritfree drinks, craft Nitro coffee, kombucha, and regular Marty Cochran cocktails & cooking coffee 757-468-6602 Charlie Berkinshaw Melissa Mickles [email protected] 5521 27th St N 5711-32 Richmond Rd forbescandies.com Arlington, VA 22207 Williamsburg, VA 23188 443-370-2037 844-492-8379 101 S Wallace Edwards & [email protected] [email protected] Sons (Edwards Virginia elementshrub.com kobrewing.com Smokehouse) Show Special: Shrubs: free shipping Dry cured, hickory smoked, long aged + 10% off first order. The Walker Newsletter of the Old Dominion Appalachian Trail Club Volume 24 , Issue 1 January/February 201 6 President’s Message Greetings and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy holiday season and you were able to get out and take advantage of the mild winter weather we’ve had – although pretty damp at the end of December! Sooner or later we’ll surely all get to use our new sweaters, flannel shirts and cold weather gear! As I step in to serve as the club’s next president I would like to say a big “Thank you” to Theresa Duffey and her board(s) for doing such a great job these past 6+ years to keep ODATC a great trail club. As we close out 2015 our club membership is pushing up toward the 500 mark and the club’s finances are in good shape for the challenges we will take on in 2016 and beyond. This past year was another big year for the club. The level of club member s volunteering for trail projects and club functions is nearing 10% of the membership. A good benchmark but clearly room for more in that very important group! Besides the club’s volunteer s spending close to 4,000 hours making our section of trail one of the most enjoyable sections in Virginia and ODATC a fun organization of which to be a part , the club accomplished several special projects in 2015. I’m happy to report that the installation of the two new kiosks at Rockfish Gap and Reid’s Gap was successfully completed by Eagle Scout candidates from Troop 760 and Karl Huber’s skillful map making.

Out in Richmond's Outdoors | COMPETE Network | Sports Diversity Out in Richmond’s Outdoors Featured in the April/ May 2018 Travel Issue of Compete Magazine To fully appreciate the menu of James Beard Award-nominee David Shannon’s Oregon Hill eatery (which, according to Condé Nast Traveler resembles a collaboration between Liberace, Andy Warhol and Nick Cave), you have to know and appreciate Richmond, Virginia. “Vegan Orgy on Texas Beach” isn’t just a banger of crispy papadoms or papadums if you prefer. This is a nod to a place – one of Shannon’s favorite spots along Richmond’s James River. And that’s just one of the innumerable gems tucked away in what’s fast becoming one of the hottest small-to-mid-sized cities in the U.S. After landing on Forbes’ “10 Coolest Cities to Visit in 2018,” earning the #2 spot on TIME’s 2017 ranking of the “25 Cities Where Millennials are Moving,” and joining Trivago’s list of “10 Under the ‘Gaydar’ LGBTQ Cities,” it’s safe to say the River City’s secret is out. If anything could outshine this historic capital city’s national acclaim for its buzz-worthy art and restaurant scenes, it would have to be its robust network of outdoor offerings. In 2012 Outside Magazine named Richmond “Best River Town” in the U.S. Within the city limits there are dozens of parks, hiking trails and other recreational spots along the James River and more nearby amazing scenery, from the Dutch Gap Conservation Area and Point of Rocks in Chesterfield County to Echo Lake Park in Henrico.
