There was a great turn out from the community, clients and visitors including Sonia Schuh (Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council Deputy Mayor), Brian Howell (A/EGM South), Weipa Community Centre Staff, Napranum Rangers, HACC, RAATSICC and NDIS. Gloria Wallis (Senior Indigenous Health Worker) made a heart-warming speech, reflecting on the impact of cancer on the Napranum community and mentioned the importance of community support for those undergoing treatment. The community raised more than $400 through donations. “We are so overwhelmed by the generosity and support for a worthy cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a big success,” said Gloria Wallis.
