In a rare, exclusive Bay Area appearance, Mona Khan Company is beyond excited to be collaborating with music powerhouse, Ram Sampath.
This A-list composer, producer, vocalist and musician has created soundtracks to hit Bollywood movies like Raees, Talaash and Delhi Belly. Some of his iconic work also includes episodes on Coke Studio @ MTV India and all the music for Aamir Khan's groundbreaking TV show, Satyamev Jayate.
This Mona Khan Company production will be a live music show with Ram and his band, featuring our company dancers and Emerging Performers.
The troupe has an impressive and extensive performance repertoire that includes performances with numerous Bollywood singers and actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Shaan and Shankar Mahadevan. Performance highlights: • Chosen out of 70,000 acts across the nation to be in the Top 48 on the NBC show, America's Got Talent, Season 5! (2010) • Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C. honoring President Obama’s second term in office (2013) • Oprah Winfrey’s ‘The Life You Want’ event in San Jose (2014) • Opening act performance for Indian Prime Minister Modi’s Bay Area Community Reception (2015) • Superbowl 50 alongside Beyonce, Coldplay and Bruno Mars (2016) The troupe has also performed at NBA half-time shows, the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, and several galas, events and weddings.
